Airtel Prepaid Schemetotally ridiculous!

Presently I am using airtel prepaid scheme with one year validity on special students scheme. When recharge my card from the normal plan to one plan, I was not told about the STD tariffs. Now i feel the plan is totally ridiculous and doesn't worth to stay with it anymore.

    Yes... Airtel is cheating their customers by false sms... They sent a recharge offer sms that contains "you can get 1 year validity for Rs.216 with talk value of Rs.50... I switched to that plan with 1 year validity... After some days, i got charged 50 paise/sms(only 365 sms free for the whole 1 year)... They not even intimate this in their sms and when i visit their website... It says that it is a plan and not a offer... complete cheating... Dont go for airtel!

    I strongly agree this. Actually airtel cheated me too by hiding all imp info. They are cheating people.

    I have a prepaid connection of Airtel. The company has suddenly started deducting Rs.2/- from my account daily. No explanations are forthcoming.

    Just an Alert to people who are using Airtel Prepaid and Recharging through ICICI Online Option.

    I used this option, and sometime you never know, where your money is going. From your ICICI account, it will get deducted and in your Mobile you will not get the credit. From Airtel customer Service, you never get a proper response...

    Sometimes it works properly. But you can't rely on this. So far I lost some thing around Rs.500/-.

    I am getting disturbing promotional-sales calls and sms's from airtel and from lot many other unheard services from past 4 months, i have told airtel customer care -around more than 20 times (literally) but they never stop this nuisance rather these kind of calls and messages (sms's) have increased ever since, which come at odd times in day or night and N-number of times. They never stop it even after i told there customer care at 121 so many times to stop all this and activate DND ( do not disturb) on my prepaid number, even send them lots emails at [email protected] to which they never respond- it looks like they never ever want to stop this harassment which comes as an unwanted add on with there connection.

    Even i am unable to send sms's a lot many times;as they failed and sometimes show the numbers where i am sending sms's didn't exist but when i tried from someone else mobile- they are successfully sent.

    I have send email to there nodal officer (punjab) but no response is part of there company - looks like there customer care is for giving troubles to the customers instead of solving them. All this is frustrating pain in the head.

    Airtel is the worst company in regards to service and customer care, i have ever experienced till now.

    I'm using airtel prepaid connection. My customer care service was disconnected without any reason. I did not call to cc more than twice on any single day the reason they r giving also i ask for gprs connection /internet. My money deducted without sending setting for my mobile set. It was only 6 day that i got setting for handset that too i need to call airtel bhubneswar office with chargeable call rate. All these 6 days also my next month charge also deducted without my consent. Also 6 days before my expiry of one month validity.

    Yes, its bad customer service. I called customer care to change my plan to ordinary plan 4 days ago, till now it is not activated I don't know whom I have to contact about my quireies. I'm dissapoined with the service provided by Airtel.

    I am airtel prepaid lifetime custumer.My mobile number is 9973641126 .My number closed on 1st january.i have called about 35-40 time .but my number is not start.your custumer care service is very dirty. they have very doubtful nature . never they tell that give me only 48hrs never they tell thatgive me only 24hrs .But his response is very negative .
    sir i request that please you will start my cell phone.

    I was recharge through internet banking via ICICI gate way the amount Rs.121 dated on 02.05.2008. My mobile no.9790702203 prepaid scheme. I am already complaint customercare no.121. But till now no action taken. Please clear the problem

    We airtel mobile users are not getting Airtel network in Mahul, Mumbai area and signal level is zero in this busy area. Initially I compalined to Customer service but they started buying time by asking question after question over a period of two months. But they left with no question, they stopped responding my email. Next I approached Nodal Officer who once again started repeating same questions and after one month he too stopped responding. Will someone guide me how to make them address our problem.

    Here is a self-explanatory mail that I sent to Airtel with copies to various consumer forums. As expected, they have now disconnected my mobile. BEWARE OF AIRTEL. AIRTEL SUCKS. WORST SERVICE. WORST PREPAID. Don't know about post-paid. But their customer care executives are all a bunch of incompetent idiots/fools, just trained like a parrot, with no brains of their own.

    Dear Sir/Madam,



    This is to bring to your attention a problem I am facing since 12th April, 2008.



    On 11th April, 2008, I activated GPRS on my mobile because I had to travel to Gujarat for a week. It was activated instantly. However, after repeated sms/calling 121, I did not get the settings for my Imate SPL mobile. Infact my mobile was blocked for calling 121 and I was advised that I should contact only through SMS which will be replied in 24 hours.



    After searching on the internet, finally I found the settings on 12th April, 2008 when I was in Ahmedabad. However, the speed was so poor/pathetic that immediately I sent an SMS to deactivate my GPRS. However, I got error “FAILURE TO DEACTIVATE SERVICE. PLEASE TRY LATER.” When I called 121, I was told that since my mobile was from Bombay, I have to call a Bombay number 9892098920 to deactivate the same.



    Instantly I called that number and the executive took my complaint. However, when I found that my money was being deducted for the next two days, I sent an email on 15th April, 2008.



    After that, I have been continuously calling helpline 121, sending emails, have personally visited your Kandivli relationship centre but my problem still continues.



    Everyday Rs.14.99 is being deducted from my mobile. I did get refund a few times but what about my time that is being wasted in calling everyday to your 121 and giving my complaint.



    I believe now each and every executive at your Mindspace office knows my voice. Till date, almost each and everyone has assured me that ‘YOUR PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED IN 2 HRS., IN 6 HRS., IN 24 HRS’ etc. but nothing has been done. One particular gentleman Mr.Sheetal Mohite asked me to personally call him and check about the status of my complaint but after that he was not approachable. Once, I was informed that he is not available but he will call me back. Till date nobody has called back.



    A few times, some people called me from Airtel saying that they are calling from the head office and also refunded my money and said ‘YOUR PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED’.



    Also, I keep getting messages that ‘YOUR PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED’ and ‘YOUR MONEY IS BEING REFUNDED’ but these are only SMS, I didn’t get money whenever I got SMS but a few times I did get money refund but without any SMS.



    Why does it take 50 days to solve this simple problem?



    I would have simply discontinued this pathetic service but the problem is I have just printed 10, 000 brochures and 1, 000 visiting cards and have got the number on a lot of my websites.



    Please solve this problem at the earliest because I don’t have any other options but to keep calling 121 and keep posting to various consumer centres/public interest blogs/reviews on the internet about Airtel.



    A general search on “airtel sucks” on Google would bring a lot of them. Anyway, there are thousands of complaints already and I don’t think another addition makes any difference.



    I wish I could get Shahrukh Khan’s email to just check from him why he goes “ga-ga” in ads over this rubbish service.

    There network is down since friday and they are giving ambigiuous replies everytime you cal

    I took airtel lifetime prepaid card 2 months back.I got a call on 8.9.08 from airtel giving an offer stating that airtel demo card scheme(airtel to airtel 10 paise, airtel to other mobiles 30 paise, airtel to landline and Sms charges 50 paise and std calls 1 Re. per min + talk time of Rs.500/- would be activated on my lifetime card and will remain valid for lifetime, their executive came at my home and collected Rs.600/- (500 talk time and 100Rs. activation charge)from me.No demo card was given, only receipt of payment was given and I was said that the scheme would be activated by 2morrow i.e.9.9.08.Do you guys think they fooled me because this scheme has not yet been activated and my calls have gone unanswered.Should i file a police complaint?someone advice soon>...

    Airtel customer care sucks !!...n worst of all they block your calls to the customer care if you call more than once to enquire abt ur complaint !!!...how ridiculous...do dey really CARE ??...

    Just by chance i got through to an honest girl who solved my problem rite away and gave me a refund of what i wanted.
    So that was lucky...its a rare chance...!!

    My sincere advice is do not ever buy airtel connection, becuase the customer care executives and the network conjection is the biggest problem in Airtel. For last one month the airtel network is very worst, but no one from airtek is trying to solve the issue.

    I m one of the users of ur Airtel NOP services. I m using ur service from last 4 yrs with daily rental of 5rs/day = 365*4*5 = 7300rs.Now U have switched off my service without informing me.we want reason why my service is off.U should at least think about the customers who r using this service from last 4 yrs.
    In this way U have cheated the customers I dont know anything start my service immediately otherwise we will take further action against u.

    ur customer care service is very bad.no one help the customers when they are in need.all of ur customer care avoid us giving rubbish answers and cut line when they have no answer.if this condition remains forever then what is the use of ur airtel? My Nop service was working satisfactorily from last 4years.I have never sent deactivation m(...) service? u have never told that Nop service will last only for 4yrs.I agree that this was the best service bcoz of unlimited [email protected]/day.but this is wrong u must inform us before only at least u should start the service of old users. this service is very very imp from the point of view of my profession.so if u dont switch my service then I have many other ways to face u to start my service.my no 9975355132
    so please switch on my Nop service as early as possible.
