Activision False account ban

On June 5th, 2024 at 9pm CST my Activision account that I use to play all of the Call of Duty games was suspended and banned without warning or explanation. I play the games on a Playstation 5 console only. I have never played on anything but Playstation. I play everyday and it is my favorite hobby. I play fair and compete against other players on Personal Computers that are actively using cheat software to gain advantages, but I do not have access to any cheat software, nor would I use it if I did. I love the game and respect the integrity. I believe in fair play, so when I received the ban, I immediately appealed it and pled my case. Activision responded with a generic email a few hours later saying their security team confirmed that my account had used unauthorized software and manipulated game data. There is no possible way for my to do that, nor to I understand how. I work in sales, and have no clue how to code or used external software on a PS5. I am innocent of these charges, and I have filed multiple complaints for the lack of help Activision has offered. My last hope is that they review my account and if there was unauthorized activity that led to this they can see that someone has hacked into my account and I am cleared. I believe this is a huge issue and have since joined thousands of others who have been hit with the same permanent account ban for the same thing and all of them were console players with no access to alter the game or cheat. Activision is a company worth billions and they somehow are letting their faithful playerbase suffer. There must be a way to see that I am not guilty of any of the accused infractions, and I deserve my account back. Please.

Activision Call of Duty MW3

Hello, my Activision account was recently hacked and now I am banned from play Call of Duty MW3. I got an email that an account from steam had linked to my Activision and when I tried to unlink it, Activision will not let me sign in. I have tried everything n the support options but it is a constant loop as I can not even sign in to my Playstation account through there nor can I link it. Please help. Thank you.

Activision False ban

Had my account hacked 16/04/2024

submitted a support and account recovery ticket the same day to be told that there was no suspicious activity on my account.

I have since managed to get the account back myself to now be banned for offences carried out by the unauthorized account. Their appeal policy states that offences committed by a hacked account will allow them to overturn a ban. This was not even reviewed and I received auto response after auto response.

They cant even follow their own policy and even though the security team have told me on 4 occasions that they detect no suspicious activity on my account the same security team have now banned my account for suspicious activity

Claimed loss: Circa £100 of game and skins and 600 hours of play time

Desired outcome: reinstatement of my account

Activision Call of Duty account

Last night at 10:10 PM, 6/5/2024, I attempted to login to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to play. I was given the error message "You have been temporarily banned from playing on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 servers." When I looked further into the ban on Activision's website, I saw that the status of my ban was actually "permanent" for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I appealed the ban because I haven't done anything that would have gotten me temporarily or permanently banned. This morning at 4:44 AM, 6/6/2024, I received a response from Activision with the following response: "Your appeal has been reviewed and we've confirmed with our security team that your account has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. As you were the account holder at the time of infraction, your ban will not be overturned." It appears to be a generic response with no further details into what manipulation or unauthorized software was used, or exactly when it was used on my account. If I knew that information it'd help to know when someone hacked my account or if an error occurred that accidentally banned me. I had played the game the day before with no issues and have never used a hack. I play this game for fun with my friends and have spent hundreds of hours leveling up and hundreds of dollars on game upgrades and skins. I've bought Modern Warfare 3 twice, once for my PS5 and another for my PC, because I upgraded my console and really enjoyed the product. This week I spent $20 on CoD coins to purchase the new Gundam operator. My account must've been hacked, or the permanent ban was an accident on Activision's end. I have never hacked, nor do I plan on hacking. I wouldn't have spent so much time and money in this game if I planned on hacking and risking getting banned. My Activision account is Gonyo#9480600. Thank you.

Claimed loss: My account was permanently banned. Over the past two years I've spent hundreds of dollars on game upgrades and operator skins, as well as hundreds of hours leveling up my account.

Activision False perma ban

I saw a random steam account added to my activision, I removed it and linked my steam, a couple days later I was permanently banned, my appeal was rejected and now I have a ban notification on my steam page. A random account was linked to mine and now I cannot play call of duty at all. Also, I've never played call of duty on pc and I would like to see proof of my so called data manipulation as per Article 15 of the GDPR regulations, I need access to any and all data that you keep regarding me.

Activision Call of duty Modern warfare 3

As someone who is been playing the call of duty series since i was a child and played mw1 mw2 i never in my life got the limited matchmaking status, like it’s an indirect way of banning it says that it limits your matchmaking but i wait so long to get in match and every match is full of hackers, as someone who never cheated a single time in my life i find it unfair to get this treatment because i am better than the casuals, like isn’t it against the law to get such treatments when i am spending money on your game ? I got no software i got nothing that merits a ban yet i got it only because someone i killed in a match before said he is hacking spam reports him and i thought it was nothing to only get actually shadow banne 2 hours later, it’s funny yet sad i was hyped about buying black ops 6 but now it’s all going downhill for me.

Activision Call of Duty MW3

I’m currently absolutely infuriated and highly distressed, a game I spent over £70 has just banned me although I have not done anything! I have tried to contact and appeal yet nothing, more of all it seems that my account in itself has been suspended so now I cannot even log in on the website to try and dispute… I don’t know what’s going on or why this is happening but I ask for help and assistance in fixing this, I have played this game since the very beginning of cod in general and it has helped me through some dark suicidal times in life, this is tipping me over the edge. Activision Activision account permanent ban

I have been playing Call of Duty for over a decade with the same Activision account, purchasing the new CoD every year. I have never hacked or used any cheats in my life. Activision states that ‘Bans will only be overturned if we determine the infraction was due to unauthorized activity on your Activision account.’ Someone gained access (hacked) into my Activision account and linked their Steam account to it, which resulted in my account getting permanently banned. I appealed my ban but was denied only a couple hours later with a generic response. I submitted proof to Activision, through the Better Business Bureau, showing someone hacked into my account. I also submitted a complaint through the California Attorney General. However, Activision has failed to look into the matter and have been unresponsive for a couple weeks.

Desired outcome: Please unban my account since the ban resulted from unauthorized activity on my Activision account.

Activision Call of Duty modern warfare 3, 2, warzone

I attempted to log onto call of duty as normal after a few months of not playing. I found I’m unable to use online services and contacted the PlayStation network support for help after they did not find issues on their end they referred me to activision

I have attempted to contact activision but with no success in finding a solution to my issue. I have been permanently banned due to a hacker using my account unauthorized by myself. This has caused me great distress and emotional tolls and am waiting for the BBB to respond.

Activision Wrongfully banned.

I'm writing to you about my account that was just banned out of no where. My name is Justin Smith and I found out my Activision account was hacked mid April. I have photos to show the username that linked their Steam account to my Activision account. I don't have a computer as I am a console player using a PS5. I noticed this account that is not mine a few days after they linked to my Activision account as I got a notification about adding a new player to my friends list, I haven't added anyone as I was not online that day. So I checked my Activision account and found my account had been compromised. So I put in a recovery ticket and changed my passwords and set up 2FA for added security. I checked my account daily for updates and to try an unlink the hackers Steam account, finally after 10 days and being in limited match making, I was able to unlink the hacking Steam account and then was told by the account recovery team that there was no suspicious activity on my account on May 6th. Within that time frame I was able to secure my Activision account and unlink the hackers Steam account but they didn't find anything? If they didn't find anything wrong then why no am I banned for unauthorized software and manipulation of game data? I have a PS5 that has been updated with the offical Sony software. I have attached all my email shots for proof of what I am talking about. Please would someone take a deeper look into this as I am not a cheater and I was hacked. Again, most of my social media and streaming have close or similar usernames. The Steam account is no where near what I use as a username if that means anything. Thank you for your time as all I am wanting is someone to look more into this as I am wrongfully banned over something I had no control of until it was too late.

I have never manipulated game data or use hacks to win a game I have been a fair gamer and I have played call of duty for years now I’m nearly about done with the game I have never been perm banned before this is just horrible that you are treating your fanbase like this so sort your software out

Activision COD Warzone

I upgraded to a new PS5 I bought from target finally last month. I play COD 2-3 times a week for a few hours with some friends. I recently jumped on and found out I have been permanently banned. I have never cheated and am terrible at the game. K/D is around 0.5 but I enjoy playing with friends. I had no clue as to why I was banned and the appeal didn't state why. When I submitted my appeal it was denied. I find this ridiculous. I had just bought my first skin as well after playing for a few years. Support is not help and there is no way to fix the wrong they made against me.

Activision Modern Warfare 2&3, Warzone

I got permanent ban, my account was borrowed by my cousin. He log in my account in his PC. I did not know he was using a unlock tool for camo. I already have Mastery camo like Interstellar. I grind that very hard after I got home from work. I work 8-12 hours a day, I am happy spending my cash in Warzone. I spend a lot of money because it is my happiness to play Call of duty. My life is hard, I play Call of duty because it gives me life. I hope you could forgive me and recover my account. This is my Account since Warzone 1.

Activision False ban

It all started around 4am uk time when I woke up and saw an email that said

I didnt see this til around 4. When I saw it I went on and saw they played ranked resurgence warzone I secured my account changing the password. As I was on there I tried to unlink their account then it came up with an enforcement so I couldn't. So I contacted account recovey and support so many times.. I attached a ss of some. I explained and they came back to me saying they didnt find nounauthorised access to my account. Smt like that and I had a match limit ban. For the whoe time ive been contacting support because I wanted that off my account I wanted a clean record. They were not useful and they got back to me and closed the case over and over. Then in may I was playing my game getting like 10 kills or less not winning hardly any on rebirth just having fun messing around not playing serious then when that game ended u opened discord screenshared and went back onto warzone and before I could launch into a game I was hit with a perm an now recently all my games were just basic kd there ait no way I was cheating activision has been banning 1/3 players that aint cheaters. They banned me n said it was bc banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. Now idk if this was when my account was gotten into and they chose to ignore but the only thing I have in my background running on pc is geforce experience, discord, steam, opera gx browser, game bar. None of these r cheating software. I hope you can help me get unban as activision has shown no understanding they dont care at al specially all the money they just scammed out of me.

Activision Unfair banning of account

Noticed on May 6 account was banned, I have never cheated in any previous titles or current titles. Submitted a ban appeal on the same day and was automatically rejected even though it is supposed to be reviewed by someone.

Got into contact with an Activision Ambassador that helps with unfair bans on accounts. Submitted an account recovery on the same day.

Also submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) on May 7th (Complaint File #[protected]) but was met with no success on that end either. Received a generic response from Activision that they will look into the case on May 8th, telling me to check my emails until Account Recovery responded.

May 13, Activision Support Account Recovery responded saying that they are unable to process my account recovery request (Case Number [protected])

Claimed loss: Multiple microtransactions and 206 hours into the game

Desired outcome: I would appreciate if they would unban my account

To address your ban, try reaching out to Activision support through a different communication channel such as their official social media accounts. Escalate the issue by asking for a review from a real person instead of automated responses. Activision Falsely banned from Call of Duty MW3

Hello, my account was falsely banned. I have never cheated or exploited the game in any way. I have put a lot of time and money into this game. Please help me resolve this issue as it is unfair. There is an unfamiliar battle.net account links to my Activision account which may have to do with why I am being banned.

Claimed loss: Loss of 150$ due to purchase of game/ in game content and countless hours of playing the game because of permanent ban.

Activision Call of Duty

Around april 1st in 2022 I recieved a permanent ban on "Modern Warfare 2019" later on I had to contact battle net support regarding an issue I had where my account email and password was changed, this was around October 8th 2023, this incident battle net support were contacted and recovered my account successfully. The issue ID for this case is Issue ID #[protected] This ban is obviously false I have never cheated or broke any of the terms of service, I have been trying to fight this for over 2 years now, I am a software developer as a hobby, and I have some debugging programs, due to this I am in belief either it was this that caused the issue with my account on Modern Warfare 2019, or it was some kind of account breach, I have attached evidence to show specifically on the day of the ban (April 1st 2022) what I was doing, I can provide direct links to these messages if need be. I'm really hoping you can help me here, I've been a loyal customer for years, please look into this and see something is wrong with the enforcement, I can provide gameplay etc I am not that great of a player for any kind of action to be taken. Thank you so much. I must stress even though this ban is 2 years old I am still trying to resolve it, and the status of my account applies to this day, I am still recieving account penalties in the newer games (Limited matchmaking state) this is very disheartening as these are games I pay full price for and expect to be able to enjoy. In short: I believe this ban was likely a mistake due to some innocent software, and I have provided evidence of this, I believe it is only fair this ban is reversed considering the amount of money and time I put into my account, and that I am still recieving penalties to this day for it. Thank you

Hey, keep following up with Activision through their customer support channels. Since you’ve already opened a case with BBB, make sure to update it with any new developments. It’s also a good idea to keep all your communication with Activision well-documented. Persistence is key here. Activision Call of duty

I was falsely banned yesterday and i never got a reason why or anything like that. I was playing yesterday fine and then the next day i updated my pc and then i was banned from playing the game from steam or in general. Im just worried because i have a lot of hours and i spent a decent amount of money on that game and its all just gone. My email is [protected]@gmail.com. My steam Id is trulyrainy_. My activision ID is rainy#5396623. I dont know what else to do.
