People also say there is cursing in it those reviews were from years ago before roblox had hashtags but now they do also numbers also become hashtags so u don't give out phone numbers or other personal stuff (also some reviews say there is bad laungage and the review was made this year those pll are lieing i dont know why but u can test it your self try to say a number or a curse word in roblox it will be tagged ---># do it in your own game tho so u dont get a possible ban) I think roblox is 100% safe for your kid

This website uses a sweet heavily modified open-sourced engine for their games. Content creators (who can be anyone) have access to some of the best starter tools in the world, for FREE. A variation of Lua with a lot of their own APIs is what is used to code in the games, and it is surprisingly stable.

Yes, you can PAY for more, but for the most part if you are paying, that means you are probably a content creator, who wants more slots to publish more games.

This is the absolute best way to express your creativity and grow all kinds of skills including, but not limited to, marketing, coding, update management, content management, gameplay design and overall communication. People say this website is full of a "bad community", but it's really just a majority of children using the on-site forums. It's a kids website, expect that.

They now have a developer forum dedicated to the top developers of ROBLOX, which tend to be the older and/or more mature audience of ROBLOX. This company does try a lot of things to get money, but that does NOT make them a scam. They are a BUSINESS. If they provided everything free, they wouldn't stay online for long.

Ontop of all this? You can actually CASH OUT for your hard work up to $50,000 USD per month. Now, that's not to say getting that $50k a month is EASY. You need the skills and the ability to create and manage a top game to earn that much per month, but it IS possible. You just have to take it a bit more seriously.

If this engine is still around in a few years, you can bet my nephew will be introduced to it.

I highly recommend READING about it, and PERSONALLY looking through the website and trying to use its tools. Your kids will love it, you might love it, but you will need to help your kids manage their time spent on it, like anything.

I think Roblox is a relatively safe and good game. In my four years of experience of playing Roblox, I have never seen any inappropriate or adult material in Roblox, to be honest, the first time I have ever seen inappropriate material on Roblox was when I was casually scrolling through Youtube. First of all, for all the "responsible" parents out there, if your child finds 18+ games that's because she or he had searched specifically for it. Roblox deletes adult-related material almost immediately and usually within a few hours. If your child is actively searching for inappropriate games on Roblox, I am more inclined to believe that it's the parent's fault for not protecting or restricting the child. Otherwise, how would a child find adult games which are nowhere near the front page, have only a handful of players, censored titles, and have only been up for a few hours if not minutes? On a side note, I have also brought gift cards for Roblox on multiple occasions on REPUTABLE websites and every single time I have received the money I paid for. I highly doubt that Roblox would rip someone off of a few dollars to ruin their reputation. In addition, there was a time where I got locked out a new account I made for my cousin as his birthday present. I had let him choose his own username and password, then I purchased some Robux on it. Unfortunately for some reason, he couldn't log in to his account the next day. We couldn't reset the password either because he had not attached an email or phone to his account yet. I contact Roblox using their Customer service system and in two days they responded back. After giving valid information, they gave us back the account with a week (it was actually four days). Therefore I conclude, Roblox is a decently good site.

P.S. It's not a Roblox's, or any company, the responsibility to refund money on unauthorized purchases. Also, please read the damn terms and services and do some research before greeting us readers with your appalling and ridiculous reviews.

Ya, so basically people say that Roblox is bad because of the hackers, bullies, exploiters or those kind of people. And they blame ROBLOX on that, not the people. That's just extremely unfair! They also say that if you're under 13 you can't chat, trade or other things and apparently, that's ageist for some people. To be honest, that's just trying to keep your mind innocent and prevent you from being groomed or anything else bad. People also say that when buying Robux, their number gets saved and there are additional charges which don't exactly make sense. I know a lot of people who buy Roblox and there are no additional charges. My guess is their kid just remembered the number and used your money. There's also these people who say that when you report someone the moderators don't do anything cause they're lazy. But think about it, there are more than one million people playing this game, and that would mean quite a handful of people would've been reported, AND the moderator team is quite small. It shouldn't surprise you it might take a while for the Roblox team to get your message!
Removing Tix: I perasnally wasn't in the Roblox community back then, but I know Tix was kinda like a cents to dollars. Ten Tix were worth one robux. When Roblox removed Tix, people said they were greedy and wanted money. That COULD be true except there is a bare chance. As some of you know, whenever someone joined your game, you would get a certain amount of Tix. These days, there were botted games that would've allowed you to accumulate a bunch of 'players,' which are mostly just bots. Then, you'd get Tix for basically just that, and that's unfair. Roblox probably just knew that this was going to happen along with many other possibilities, so that's why they probably removed Tix. Also, they were very open about it, too. They wrote an entire post about it, and said in 30 days Tix would be removed. They even made an event. They were very patient about this and they didn't just say: "Oh yah, so you now have a day to convert your Tix to Robux or your Tix will go bye bye!" 0

Sure. There is some online daters, and other things I won't mention. I've been playing Roblox for 3 years. The community normally makes new games. You can also make games. The app to make games is called "Roblox Studio." I made a story of this bacon hair (The default skin in roblox) named Su Tart, eats bacon. It has a single like and visit. There are also dislike bots people make for new and upcoming games. But as long as you stick to stories that most likely won't happen. Roblox has a kinda good moderation system for mods (Which you can apply to roblox when you're 18), for example, if someone posted something inappropriate, the mods will most likely ban it and ban the user who made it, as long as you stick to simulators you won't see anything inappropriate, and only some people cuss, and in my 3 years of playing Roblox, I have not seen one person say a bad word, well, normally, they normally type f*** etc. and/or, just to be funny: (Insert bad word here) or (insert bad word). There are funny roblox youtubers and thats basically it, funny roblox youtubers, people also make tutorials on how to do things, and they sometimes make a tutorial inside the game, roblox has millions of players, and there are scam bots, which you should not fall for, they will hack your account, and I would recommend 2 Step Verification, and be careful while trading, people will sometimes ask for your password, don't fall for that either. There is a currency called "Robux," or as I like to say it, "roux", I would recommend watching Flamingo, Jayingee, DenisDaily, Sketch etc. You can make Robux off of games you make, and there is a thing called Builder's Club, where you get Robux Daily, there is something for OBC, called DevEx, (Developer Exchange) where, you guessed it, exchange robux for real money. Also, don't give items for real money, you will get banned, Roblox sometimes breaks their rules, but they normally fix it in the time of 1 week-1 month, some people bully others, if so, just leave the game, I wouldn't recommend dealing with it, unless you really think you can do it, just try and do it, I'm not your dad/mom. Remember the thing I said earlier on that you should stick to simulators? You should also stick to Welcome to bloxburg, which is in beta, 25R$. I don't know, I bought it. Also there is some horror games like Camping, Field Trip, Highschool, before the dawn etc. If you can take how scary the games are then just play, but you don't have to. First of all, what I see the most on these kind of reviews; Roblox is NOT a game, but a developing platform, with a website which allows these games to connect and get easy access from players alike. If something happens with a game (that is not created by the company itself for an event for example), don't blame it on them. Try to contact the developer or developers of that respective game.

This is an online community, of course there are toxic people. If you can't accept that, You can disable your chat, which I highly do not suggest, as it takes from the fun of the game. Except, what I actually suggest to you is that you find a community of people with the same interest. The platform enables groups, private games, a friend system and a private and group chat system to talk with those friends outside of a game. So, find yourself a group or friend group with a similar interest, find a game you like and try to stick to it. Closed, smaller communities are obviously cleaner. It works on the same logic as real life. In a small town, everyone knows everyone and they won't try to commit any criminality, even behind the anonymity of the internet.

This platform, as I said, is also a developing one. The code isn't that simple but you don't really need to script build yourself a house, or small place to hangout with friends. There are multiple YouTube tutorials on developing games on Roblox, and I highly suggest you give it a try. You can also find new friends with this same interest.

An important thing to note is that Roblox pays it's successful developers in Robux, the in game currency. If you get enough, you can trade them for real money. This makes Roblox a possible job. Multiple developers are making Roblox games to sustain themselves in University for example.

An important message for parents: Yes, you CAN disable your child's chat feature, or friends feature, but do you really need to? This takes out from the fun, and part of the game. Yes, some games don't really need a chat function, but most of the front page games are about role playing as a princess or hanging out with friends. If you want to keep your kids safe, just keep an eye on them when they play, instead of being lazy and just deactivating social interactions.

Also, there is a darker part of this website, but as long as you don't try to find it and don't go on any website promising free robux, you are safe from it.

Now as a sentimental note: This game was with me since 2012. I was 6 years old when I made an account. At this point, Roblox has been a part of my life for more than half of it. I've seen rises, downfalls, things coming and going. I've seen a lot of things. Now, why am I telling you this? For 2 reasons. First, this game helped me get shaped in the way I am today, and second, as you can see, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABDUCTED. That myth is false. I haven't met any predator on this website since 2012. Your kids are safe.

Except some problems, this game clearly deserves a 5/5 rating. How an older generation grew with Club Penguin, so are some kids growing with Adopt Me or Meep City.

This is a serious offense that can result in a ban, as it can cause significant financial losses for other players. I kindly request that appropriate action be taken.

My sons love Roblox and I have allowed them to use some of the money they earned during the summer to purchase Roblox items. However, their account was hacked and almost all of their items were stolen. I reported the issues 3 times since 8/7/2020 with no response. I also left a voicemail. This is an amazing platform's for kids but do not expect help when you encounter an issue.

Ive had this game for a very long time. The customer service is terrible I recently got beamed and roblox literally is flat out ok with scamming. my friend told me if I put in a code in a website I would get a free item. I did it because I knew them for years, they somehow got into my trades and took my items. I emailed roblox about this and they are saying its a trade I agreed with? which means they did not even read the email or the screenshots. they wont ban the account that scammed me, or give me anything back. I spent a ton of money on that game. It literally js takes ur money n is ok w scamming. its a shady company.

I submitted an appeal 3+ days ago regarding both a ban on my account and content moderation for an erroneous reason, it says I was banned and the content was removed because it contained inappropriate content, but it did not. My account ban has been lifted because the 3-day sanction is up, but the content I uploaded is still removed and I've received no response from the Roblox appeals team, further, I still worry that a 3-day ban on my account for 'inappropriate content', even though there wasn't any, could affect my reputation with Roblox and bar me from programs like DevEx if I ever choose to enroll in them, so I also still want to resolve both the issue of a previous 3 day sanction on my account, and the content removal. However, it has been 3+ days since I've submitted my appeal and I still have yet to receive a response. I know I'm probably going to get the stock response of 'We don't process appeals on third party sites', but I have an open ticket with Roblox Support and I just want someone to look at my appeal. In the past, Roblox support has been fairly good at responding to my requests, but this one is taking much longer than usual.

I do enjoy this platform very much, however when it comes to the punishment of their players, the are lacking in a lot of places. I was banned for about one day for "the usage of an exploit", not playing for one day is not a big deal to me. However, the fact that another player had threatened to spam report me and get me banned make me suspicious that they didn't take the time to go over anything and just decided to take action. When I requested information about my ban, customer support danced around my problem and gave rather cookie cutter excuses and solutions. As I read through he many reviews left here, I see this is a very common theme, Customer support seems to provide little to no information or evidence on why they took action, then expect us to be ok with it. Why the fact that there are so many similar reviews such as mine and nothing on Roblox's side has been done to improve absolutely baffles me. The Roblox corporation itself doesn't really seem to care whether or not we spend countless hours or hundreds of dollars on our accounts, and they can't seem to give us the time of day to even help resolves issues with our accounts. I know there are a lot of angry kids here who are mad about their punishments for a a just or false reason, I hope my review can stand out then just a complaint. If Roblox decides too respond to me, I hope for a different reply than a copy pasted "Roblox is not able to process any Account Restore Requests via a third party such as a BBB complaint". I'm not asking for more help, at this point I'm asking for change. I understand that there is a lot going on this year, but this customer support complaint has been a thing dating back too 2017, you'd think that they'd have a little humility knowing that this has been and ever growing problem among players. If you are looking for accurate information about Roblox on this page, you wont find much. A majority of these reviews are from angry kids that are upset that they broke the rules and were banned or people who made mistakes on their own end then play Roblox for it. Like losing their email account so they cant reset a password. Of course Roblox cant do anything if you lost your email to the account and coincidently lost your password. I've been on the platform since my childhood and I've made a good sum of money developing games. Roblox is entirely safe for kids and if you are a parent and you're concerned about Roblox, I'd recommend using the parental controls that allow you to completely control what you child can do on the platform. You're also able to view what games your child has played from the play history on the home page. I would be completely fine with my child playing on this platform and I would honestly be glad considering the learning opportunities present.

I gotta say, I was hesitant to try out Roblox at first because of all the negative reviews I've seen online. But after giving it a chance, I have to say that it's not all that bad. Sure, there are some issues with the game, but it's not as terrible as some people make it out to be.

Let's start with the good stuff. First of all, the games on Roblox are really fun. And if you ask me, buying Robux is not a scam. It's a way for the company to make money, and it helps players buy cool stuff in the game. If your kid buys a bunch of Robux without your permission, that's on you as a parent. You should be supervising them and making sure they understand what they're doing.

As for hacking and scams, that's just something you need to be smart about. Make sure you have a strong password and don't fall for any scams. It's not Roblox's fault if you get hacked or scammed. And if you do encounter inappropriate content in the game, Roblox takes it down pretty quickly.

There are also some really amazing games on Roblox that are beautifully made and really push the boundaries of what you can do with a Lego-style game. And while there are some predators and bullies in the game, they're pretty rare. Just block and ignore them and they'll go away.

Now, onto the bad stuff. The moderation system on Roblox is pretty terrible. They don't seem to care about hacking or some scams, but they'll ban players for uploading memes or content that isn't even inappropriate. And reports don't seem to do anything. Roblox gets so many false reports that it's hard for them to keep up.

I've also seen a lot of accounts that are just there to add people and do sexual stuff with them. And while Roblox does terminate these accounts, they don't always catch them right away. And the chat filter can be pretty annoying, censoring out words that aren't even inappropriate.

Overall, I'd say that Roblox is a fun game to play, but be warned that the moderation system is pretty bad. Just be smart about what you do in the game and you should be fine.

I was charged $19.99 on my online account for Roblox without my permission. I checked both of my kids' Roblox accounts and there were no charges made and no extra Robux. Moreover, my online account is not linked to either Roblox account. Due to Covid, I couldn't get a response from my online account, so I reached out to Roblox to investigate. While waiting for a response from Roblox, my online account contacted me and informed me about fraudulent activity. They removed the charge because the Roblox purchase was fraudulent and didn't go to any of my accounts. Later, Roblox emailed me saying they deleted my account due to reported unauthorized charges. I replied, explaining that I never mentioned unauthorized charges but asked them to investigate. I clarified that the unauthorized charges were made on my online account and my online account had already resolved the issue. I also emphasized that it had nothing to do with my daughter's Roblox account, and if they had read my email, they would have seen that. After going back and forth for days, they reactivated my daughter's account. However, they took back the $19.99 worth of items when they reactivated it, claiming I didn't authorize the charges. I explained that no charges were made on the account and the items they took were already paid for. During this time, there were no charges or purchases. Roblox refuses to return the items worth $19.99 that they took from my daughter's account. I want those items back since I already paid for them. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't even read the messages properly. I keep receiving the same automated response from them. If someone had taken a moment to look into the account, this could have been resolved quickly. Roblox only cares about money and doesn't value its customers. If my daughter hadn't invested years and a significant amount of money in this game, I would have deleted the account and moved on from Roblox. Buyers should be cautious!

Roblox...you're really causing problems for us parents. Both of my sons are absolutely obsessed with Roblox games. I have spent a lot of money on Roblox for over 5 years now because my boys love the games and have so much fun. However, in the past 5 months, both of my sons told me that they had purchased things but never received what they were promised. It seems like hackers were breaking into the games and creating fake items to make money, taking advantage of unsuspecting kids. I only realized this when I checked my bank account and saw that a fake subscription had been set up, resulting in constant charges. It's heartbreaking to see my kids disappointed and scammed on their accounts. They buy items that are supposed to be legitimate, but they end up being scams, and I am constantly being charged. This situation is completely out of control. It's shocking that someone can hack and scam on your platform. I want the charges from the last couple of months refunded on my sons' accounts, and I will not accept you taking away my kids' accounts as if it's their fault. It's disgusting that you have a reputation for taking away kids' accounts when parents request refunds. These kids are your main customers. They spend all their time creating avatars, building their games, and idolizing YouTubers who are considered Roblox celebrities. Some of them are lucky enough to spend their parents' hard-earned money on special items using Robux. It's really disappointing to see the level of greed that your platform has reached. How many kids must feel terrible when they can't afford overpriced special items, especially when they receive a gift card for their birthday and risk being scammed out of their once-a-year treat? Shame on you, Roblox, for allowing this to happen. I would like a refund for the constant fake items and subscriptions that have been charged to my account multiple times in the last 5 months, or maybe even longer. It shows a lot about how ComplaintsBoard.com works with parents to make things right, as we are the ones funding years of purchases for gameplay. I request that you, Roblox, also play fair and do the right thing by refunding the charges from the last 6 months without putting my sons' cherished Roblox accounts at risk. This company continues to take advantage of children. Not only do they close accounts that parents have spent a lot of money on, but they also deceive minors with false advertisements, misleading buttons, and trickery. They don't provide a phone number to speak to a person, and when you file complaints and ask for solutions, they only respond with automated emails. You use your hard-earned money to buy virtual items, and then they take those items away, forcing you to buy them again. This company exploits underage children and tricks them. I sent them an email, and they replied with multiple automated responses. They don't care and are not interested in finding solutions. I was playing maple hospital on my lgbtq+ server when i changed my avatar to wear a dress it say it was against roblox terms and conditions and so i joined my friend to get my roles back faster but then we tried to join back and turns out i was banned for 364 days i spent alot of time on that server and i got banned for a year because i wore a dress i think this is totally unacceptable

Instead I wake up and her entire account has been permanently terminated for going against community guidelines. I have spent over $1000 in robux for her to play that game and they have taken all of it! It is not right nor fair. For absolutely no reason other than me complaining about an item.

I had currently bought new items on Roblox to create a new charter and when i did it will not let me switch to that specific charter i tried to on 3 different platforms and only two of them would let me switch, but even Tho they let me switch to the avatar and let me see it be worn i will join into a game and be in a completely different avi. on the the third platform it says failed to wear charter

My roblox account was deleted due to unauthorized charges, however I accidentally hit refund on an item that was not roblox item, and they deleted my account. I have reached roblox support and they do not do anything. They keep on saying your appeal has been denied, whenever I gave them the correct information that could get my account back in an email previously.

I’m out here wasting my money on Roblox to buy these clothes for my Roblox avatar to find out later on they disappear so I click on them and it says more info so I click that then it brings me to this page that says it was removed from Roblox witch should stop happening I have way to many clothes getting removed when I like just recently bought them and a lot of people I know complain about the same thing so you should fix it because it’s not fair for us to loose our money just because of these clothes for our avatars disappearing!

I just got a $50 gift card exchanged, so the first thing I did was customize my character. I got finished customizing my character (my character was the "Excited Kemono Wolf Bundle"), and it worked for a while, but then I joined a game and all of my avatar's body bellow the head was gone! I just figured that it was just the game I was playing so I joined a different game, and it did the same thing, so I went to customize and POOF, my entire character turns into a Robloxian skin with an orange tank top and beach shorts. I tried SO MANY different ways to fix this. but it just wouldn't work! PLS FIX THIS, I really love my skin!

We have attempted to update this but it's asking us to verify a code that is being sent to the updated email but no code is arriving.

I got hacked only a few weeks ago, and Roblox support has failed to get my account back. I emailed them MANY times about my issue, and they failed to "verify" my account. They demand I get an iTunes or Google Play receipt as proof of ownership, but they can't accept PayPal proof. I don't understand why they can't accept proof from Paypal. Aside from that, the Roblox website claimed that “Even if your account is compromised and the email is changed, we can still see the original owner or billing email on the account.” Which means they're purposely making it difficult.

The thing is I got banned for 1 day for so called bypassing Roblox, Some people on voice chat were telling other to suck on them with curse words and the reason I'm banned was for so called "Bypassing" the Roblox voice chat, and the thing is the fact that I WAS PLAYING MUSIC, while some other dude was yelling racial slurs to me because my avatar was black in Roblox, ROBLOX IS STUPID!

After I filed a complaint NOTHING worked after that and I was real angry because we have satanic people, E-daters, Predators, Abusive admins, and racism, yet Roblox hates us people who have done nothing.

Roblox has been showing me items that I feel are sexual and when I report these items, or block the creator of the items, More continue to show up, I am not comfortable using the roblox app, its not appropriate for children at this point, first they added sexual content and sexualities, but now they begin to add satanic items, there is no way to stop the items from showing up, Satanic items are especially not appropriate, as riturals involve the following, human sacrifice, animal sacrifice, SEX RITURALS (not appropriate for children or young teenagers, both play roblox.) and there are more examples, there are also LGBTQ items on there, my cousin Teressa, killed herself after becoming a member of the community because she realised she was going through a phase in which young girls, which the community is targetting (look up the statistics.) the phase she was going through, was a phase teenage girls and children 10-17 go through where they want to act like boys. She killed herself because she realized she wanted to have children and be a girl, but she was already transitioned so she couldn't. This is a terrible thing that they are doing to children. I paid the necessary requirement for a private sever for blox fruits on this website and never got my private server renewed. I paid the bill on my private server for blox fruits but now I can't get into it, and it says the bill was never paid.

This matter is upsetting both me and my friends in this matter cause I have multiple friends who use my private server and are now no longer able to do so.

Even after trying to report this matter, I was not given a refund of my 200 robux that was stolen from me. I am very upset about this matter.
