I, like many of you ladies, recieved a charge of $4.95 on my bank account but it was under web access along with an 866 # so after some research online reading many of your stories I decided to call the # [protected]) and they answered right away said customer service may I help you & I told them what happened & he put me onhold for about 5 mins then transfered me to a lady who said I was automatically signed up for a secrets & insiders club that was a monthly charge. I asked her to cancel it and with in a few mins she cancelled my automatic subscription, make sure you ask for a refund though! I asked her would this money be refunded back into my account & she said well you didnt ask for a refund, so I asked her to please refund my money back into my account & she politely said yes it should be back into your account within 5 to 10 days.

Similiar to previous posts - signed up for a $4.95 trial, never got any email confirmation with terms, and then found another $4.95 webaccess charge, a $1.00 processing fee charge, and a $59.95 charge from AcaiBurn.
Seems difficult to resolve - wish I had checked out this site before ordering.
(Also, the product did not work for me - unable to take it and threw it away.)

My co-worker and I ordered around mid-Januaray. To our surprise we never receieved the order. We called to cancel. Supposedly they will not charge us. After reading all your comments I am skeptical on that promise. This is a phony site: www.acaiburn.com. They even use Oprah, Dr. Ozz, Dr. Perricone and Angelina Jolie to "sell." For anyone who is thinking of purchasing thru ACAI BURN please do not. They are liars.

I tried to cancel today 1/27/09 by calling them and they would not answer. I received the bottle of Acai Burn 1/15/09 (so that is within the 14-day period. I called my credit card company and I just found out this company charged me already for $69.95. I am going to dispute this and I had my credit card cancelled at the same time. The thing is Acai Burn claimed it will stop your hunger but my appetite actually become bigger.

I ordered the trial for $4.95 and I had to cancel before 14 days period, which I did and my credit card was still charged for $59.95. What the point in ordering a trial for only shipping when at the end you still have to pay for the pills at the end if you decide you dont like it, but you just want to try it.

WE WERE WERE RIPPED OFF BY ACAI BURN (UNDER OTHER NAMES) DEDUCTING SMALL AMOUNTS UNDER £10 STERLING EVERY MONTH FOR ABOUT A YEAR., FROM ACCOUNTS BASE D IN CYPRUS.
when we first noticed these payments, we alerted our bank, who said they were very familiar with our complaint as they had hundred of similar ones. Hanging onto the phone for 45 minutes time to get through to speaking to someone, i was very rattled and expressed my irritation with the poor girl who worked for the online banking section. She told me that she spent most of her day dealing with similar calls to mine - all from Acia Burn - this was one call office for just one of the UK banks! She promised they would claim the money back on our behalf as it was taken by theft as I had cancelled my order within minutes of placing it... which was when the UK postage charge came out at double the price advertised - no mention of which was made in the ad which had popped up repeatedly on my hotmail account.

I attempted to cancel several times and was assured by several members of staff at Acia Burn that on the computer my order had been cancelled, though the original deducation would not be cancelled... I returned the pills the day they arrived.

But by refusing to accept credit cards, they had got hold of my bank account details - and so the horrible saga began. I guess they must have taken about £50 sterling by now ($80?)

I wouldn't mind but I used to be a savvy consumer journalist used to expose companies like this! I am lucky that I can afford to lose this sort of money but I am outraged at the bare-faced audacity of this thieving company. Why don't the American Trading Standards Authorities drum these people out of business...
and why do people go and work for such a bunch of thieves and conmen?

The bank still assures me that I will eventually get the money back as it was stolen from my account - I had to sign forms to say that I had cancelled. But Acai Burn uses different company names to take small sums of money that presumably they hope people won't notice.

The above is a complete lie. Due to some unethical practices I canceled the trial on the same day I ordered. I never received a trial, but I was charged $59.95. They will tell you that your order has been canceled and that they returned your money. They have given me up to 6 different dates that the money was returned. My bank has never received the credit. Their story changes reqularly the employee I spoke with last week has never worked there. They are liars and cheats and they know they can get away with it. CANCEL YOUR CARD NOW. I have been calling up to 8 times a month as well as emailing. The charges stopped when I canceled my card.

Jrex thank you for your advice. I'm in Australia and went through the Live Chat to cancel. Got a cancellation number plus an email cancellation notification. Only problem was there is a secondary subscription to a crew called World Club Fitness which take money every month as well. The Acai Burn people were no help here and said I had to contact them directly. They can automatically subscribe you, but can't canel for you! Sorry Mr Jacobson, but that's not the great customer service you mentioned.

i dont know why ppl do these free trials when you know the merchants will charge you some exorbitant amount of $ afterwards regardless if you receive the sample or not. just dont do it. if it sounds too good to be true, dont do it. never do free trials for anything whether you see it on tv or any ad via oprah or rachael ray.. dont do it.. dont do payday loans online either.. most loans are based overseas and they will literally rape your accounts. once you do a free trial. block your card immediately.

What happened wholesale in the U.S. appears now to be happening in Australia. It's a good idea to check Complaints Board before ordering anything online.

There's only one sure way to get these people off your backs, and that is to cancel your credit card and have your vendor issue you a new number. Thereafter, expect nuisance phone calls from Acai and "affiliates" trying to get you to resubscribe. Under no circumstances let those thugs talk you into divulging your new credit card account.

We in the States discovered we were on our own here. From my knowledge, Our Federal Trade Commission would not lift a finger to protect any consumers by taking any action to restrain Acai, so it is likely that powerful, influential people are involved. I suspect this scam has netted at least tens of millions of dollars.

I signed up for the $4.95 trial, then never received another package until December and had been billed 58.71 monthly, when I called questioning this I was told that it was too late, I couldn't get a refund, but that they would resend the product, but that I would be unable to send it back for a refund. Also, refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. Go figure this is a major rip off, if the supervisor will not even get on the phone? We need to contact the better business bureau.

I got scammed too by these people. I tried calling and calling and it never went through always busy so, I went to http://www.acaiforcemax.com/index.php and then at top right hand side it says "Live chat were online click here" i clicked that. Chatted to some reggie guy told him i wanted to cancel it starting now. He asked for my email and phone number, I gave it to him and he gave me a cancellation number and said I was removed from "auto ship program". I triple asked him if I wont ever get charged again and he assured me I won't so I hope I no longer get money taken out hope this helps. And I hope they stop taking payments from me!

I have just been given a phone number through my bank to call & cancell...[protected]...they have given me a cancellation number& said I wont be billed anymore, hoping this is the case. Also sent several emails to support@acaiburn.com and have received an email back saying that the membership has been cancelled. Again fingers crossed. I have had to block the credit access on my debit mastercard so that no more money can come out on the account. That seems like the best option.
Good luck hope this helps.

also never order any product that has to come overseas ...NEVER NEVER NEVER... faceless crime and they know it and you can kiss whatever dreams of a 15 to 30 day trial period it won't reach you until 30 days + which nulls any trial period and you just purchased the trial and another order all in one before your trial period even starts and all they will tell you is that it is there policy and won't do a thing and then they will blame it on your postal service next...faceless crime and don't send the products back you will not be refunded if you do so ...policy cannot restock due to health and safety even if it has not been opened if you do you will be out alot of money with nothing to show for it...maybe the large credit card bill to show for it and nothing else...PLEASE BEWARE do not listen to all the praisers of these companies and there wonderful customer service handing out refunds left and right if you have any problems, they will wiggle away from any obligation with bogus policies and fine print ...they have your money, why give it back is there main policy end of story. :/

12-8-09 Call your credit card and put in a dispute immediately. The Acaiburn company keeps diverting you by saying your credit card should show a refund in X days. If you wait too long your CC can't get the money back. They're under a certain time limit. Keep all copies of documents, dates you started, every date, even the time you called, etc., names of who you spoke with, confirmation numbers, tracking numbers, etc. Call ASAP to your credit card company and speak to a REAL person.

You are a scam company just like most corporations in the world. You can take this last comment and do you know what with it. I had to cancel my bank cards thanks to you. Your company is full of crap. You only care about making the mighty dollar. So stop with your comments about wanting to make things right with people. You wouldn't have to if you kept your promise in the first place.

Asked to provide me with their delivery address but the customer service said "they are not allowed to give out address." How can someone return if you don't have the address. Tried the website, https://www.acaiburnpremium.com/contactus.php, apparantly does not exist. This company just scamming money from inocent people.

Please give me your delivery address so I can send your unopened item back for credit.

I ordered the trial pack, that was a free trial was charged £17 postage, wasnt going to order anymore but three weeks later they sent three more tubs and took £94 from my credit card account plus £8 membership, i returned them and expected a refund, but nothing happened this was back in march. I have phoned the freephone number they said couldnt do anything, have written letters to the address in the uk where i sent them back and didnt get a reply. All i can say its a big scam and would advise anyone who has ordered the free trial to cancel them on your credit card as they will just take your money. If anyone can give me advice on how to get my money back i would appreciate it. I dont think the company should get away with it, it makes me so angry.

That it not an actual website. i just looked it up and it said it was not found. I too was charged these fees, luckly the number appeared on my bank statement. When you buy Acai Burn you are apparently automatically enrolled in some online support and some other thing that you get charged for monthly even after you called your Acai burn.

This is what i just did today and hopefully it works. If you have been charged $6.95 you can call [protected] or [protected]. If you get charged $3.24 you can call [protected] or [protected]. If you get charged $2.96 call [protected]. All these numbers go back to the same company but they make you call all the numbers. They will give you a cancellation number and hopefully that will be the end of it.
The other charges have a different set of numbers. If you got charged $9.95 call [protected], if you got charged $7.14 call [protected] or [protected] or [protected]. If you got charged $7.01 call [protected].
Customer service will ask you what number you called, your name or email. Tell them you want to be canceled and keep the number on file. If you had different amounts charged to you then call a number and hope for the best.

Hopefully this will be the last time i was charged for any of these fees. I'm really upset that i was never informed that i would been enrolled in these various thing that cost me additional money even after i canceled my initial Acai burn pills. It would've been nice to cancel me for everything not just the pills.

Hope this helps people who have future problems with this company.

i'm half way using the product and there's no improvement at all... they sent another bottle which i didn't asked for it and not even finished the "trial bottle". i checked my bank account and they charged me 2 $82.70... i was like wooh! i called the [protected] and it took me an hour holding on the line and asked for the instruction to return the product... hopefully when i return the second bottle i get my 1 $82.70 back and just forget about the other $82.70... which it will appears that it wasn't a trial...LOL... basically you will pay for the "free trial" thing...
this is totally a free.. they should something with the spam thing or website and totally shut down this crap...
wish me luck to get my money back!

I was only taken for $2.95. Its all sort of weird...I only heard about it because I was looking at a posting on Craigslist for a used stair machine. When I contacted the poster via email and in their response they said it had already sold. She then told me that she didn't need it to lose weight because she lost 20 lbs quickly using Acai burn. She said she had to ask her sister for website address and she'd get back to me. She did and I believed her. So I signed up.
I have learned now that I only use the PayPal Plugin when purchasing anything online. So it wouldn't accept the single use one because the expiration date was too soon so I used the multiple use plugin card and closed it as soon as I made my $2.95 payment so that they couldn't charge me anything in the future.
The day after I signed up for the free offer I began receiving appx 10 calls per day from an unlisted number. They never left a message and I had to use trapcall to make them think my number was disconnected.
Anyway that's my experience and I just want to stress to always use the Paypal Plug in card or similar so you are not open to anyone charging more than what you are signing up for. I haven't taken the pills yet. I found this site, because before I took them I wanted to read reviews as I now I had reason to think it may be a scam.
Good luck getting your money back. I'm going to live with my small loss as a lesson learned.

I have been scammed thus far AU $522.40 by these people and I am currently in the process of both launching a criminal investigation plus have the contacts to stop these scammers.

I am unable to contact any representitive. I have tryed all the numbers.

I am in Australia at the moment, so if any of you Acai Burn Representitives would like to discuss this with me prior to me dedicating as much time as needed to damage your so called company/scams/knowledgeble representitives basic thieves, perhaps it would be best for you to give me a contact number that I can callyou on.

This offer expires at 10am EST ( you figure it out ) . Perhaps we can come to an arrangement.

With so many complaints, how do they stay in business? Why haven't they been shut down? After receiving another shipment, I took the time to find the company to make arrangements to return the product. I had no paperwork from previous shipment. I finally got a live person to speak with after going on this site. Hopefully, I'll get my refund. I called and [protected] and was given a RA number for a return. I tried the Acaiburn for several months, but I have not had any results.

I was not so lucky with customer service rep Cachitta [protected]. She only offered to stop future subscriptions to some website. I know I never signed up for it. More than likely it was in small print to scam people. I am going to have to request a Charge Back on my credit card for $3.44 and $2.96. Oh, well, live and learn!

My son ordered some of this Acai Burn. What a terrible company. Being on an army base and not having a PO box set up, he had it sent to our house. Being skeptical, I opened it and called him and told him he did not need to take any of this stuff. We needed to send it back.

There are many, many stiplulations for sending it back and I'm grateful for these posts to know how to deal with these people. Apparently cancelling your "subscription" to be charged $58.71 each month is different from asking for a REFUND so you need to do BOTH. I asked for my customer service reps' name should I continue to have problems with this junk.

I wrote down the cancellation number, the order ID # and anything else I could. The customer service rep said my son should have read the terms and conditions better when he ordered it online. I have a better idea-----don't order any of this product.

My son is in the military and ordered some. He had it sent to our house because he didn't have a PO box set up yet in TX. They said when I called to cancel it that he had already missed the 14 day trial period, well duh...It would take that long for us to get it and turn around and send it to him, etc. Anyway, I am so thankful for all of these posts because I read them carefully about how you need to ask them to CANCEL it as well as ask for a REFUND, apparently those are 2 different actions in this company's mind.
You have to send back the product within the 60 days and then when it's all processed the company will reimburse your credit card. I asked for my customer rep's name, wrote down the cancellation #, order ID #, and anything else I could. He said that my son should have read the terms and conditions more carefully. I have another suggestion, don't order any of this product. Getting charged $58.71 once a month is ridiculous.

I have also gotten caught up in the scam from AcaiBurn. They continue to debit my account from all these different companies that I did not authorize. I did see from one comment to cancel my debit card and that will take care of these automatic debits. I know now to never order anything off the internet. This was my first time and will be my last. I don't even know who this company is to press charges against them, if I knew then I would definitely find an attorney to do a class action suit. Does anyone know who they are.
Thanks, Sandy J.
