I signed up to publish a book with Xlibris at the start of November 2023. Within weeks it was becoming evident that the business was focused on sales, whilst promising outstanding customer services. The communication was erratic, unless it was regarding further up selling. When asked about cancelling services the communication went silent. No one acknowledged my emails regarding termination of contract. Then the first payment was due, I paid an initial £800 sign up with the rest set up as two instalments. The communication via email was ignored for termination of the contract and they then attempted to put the first instalment through. As it turns out they entered a wrong number when entering my bank details, which was confirmed by my bank. However this did not stop them from harassing me and accusing me of my error and the further charges I had to pay. This again has caused the communication to cease and they are no longer responding to my emails. I clarified that the bank confirmed exactly the minute this money was requested and where the error lay. Still no word, absolutely disgusted in the lack of integrity and customer services. Appalling business to work with. Dream killers.
