Comment/Question: Very unhappy-new fridge Top shelf not tall enough for bottles or cans. Compressors run a lot and are loud, especially from a rattle at the bottom.Tech tried to add styrofoam to underneath to quell the rattle but since there's no way to stop the fridge from sliding out when the door is opened, the strrofoam moves.Fridge has to be pushed back in every night since it rolls forward when door is opened. No way to secure it. Now complaining to Lowes.

I have already contacted the Ohio Attorney General, and the BBB about your business practices, not to mention your blatant disregard of senior citizens, the handicapped, disabled and bedridden.
All we asked for was our washer fixed. You sent repairmen twice who made it worse, and the first one had water pouring all over our basement. Then we can talk about the cancelled appointments, and them NOT showing up for their scheduled appointment on October 7th and saying the claim was closed.
If you had just exchanged the washer like I begged after the first repairman tried to fix it I could have saved most of the laundry, bedding, and countless other items before they were ruined with mold and mildew. Our entire house reeks of it and my daughter is on oxygen for lung disease and that's a huge health hazard.
We live in the country with no vehicle. We are on an extremely limited budget being on SSI/DA. After the second appointment my disabled daughter, bedridden with RA and MS, on oxygen, incontinent, in a hospital bed and only able to lay on one side was running out of clean sheets, gowns, and underpads. I took the little money we had left for groceries and had a friend give me a ride to a laundromat to make sure she had what she needed to get by until your next appointment date to fix our washer. That never happened and the things I paid to have washed were used up before your next "service appointment". My daughter had no clean bedding, underpads, gowns, and her mattress was soaked in urine, which she had to lay in. Do you think we can afford a new mattress and to buy all new linens and gowns on top of everything else?
Not only did you NOT fix or replace our washer, it cost me time and money to go to a laundromat, that left us without grocery money, we were lied to repeatedly, you've left us with ruined clothing, countless bags of dirty laundry since I also cannot wash mine or my grandsons clothing, not counting my daughters soiled linens and things.
When you told me back in September it would be fixed I had no issues with that, it seemed fair, appliances malfunction from time to time. After the second repairman you assured me it would be taken care of quickly and not to worry. Now you offer to buy back the appliance which takes weeks, I believe you said 4 to 6 weeks, AFTER I provide you with a receipt which I will gladly do, in the meantime what do I do about all the issues above, not to mention our house smelling from bags of dirty laundry, and the water on the floor? What about my daughters side that is scalded and burned from laying in her own urine because we had no way to provide her with anything clean, not to mention the fact that we also have no food, no money to get any, and no way to get somewhere if we did.
Not only did we have to send her to a nursing home because of this, she has no bedding, clothing, gowns, underpads, mattress covers, or even a mattress just to name a few things.
We told you we had no way to cash a check, you could just put the money back on the card we purchased it with. Then you sent someone to pick up the washer before we received any type of reimbursement for it.
We are not the only ones upset and angry over this my daughters nurses are provided through Ohio Area Centers On Aging and is on the 65 and under waiver. They have contacted the office that covers the ADA about this situation.
All we want are our things replaced, money to buy cleaning products, and a washer that works.
I'm sending photos, if you need a more exact itemized list with receipts let me know because I have them.
We bought that washer because it was in our price range, had good reviews, and Whirlpool HAD a good reputation for dependable products and good customer service.

Maytag warranty is useless. Bought a Microwave in June 2017. Just paid $160 for a diagnostic recommended by Maytag. Took less than 5 minutes which I could have done myself. Heat water for 45 seconds in a cup. The magnetron is under a so called 10 year warranty, but it will cost $371 for labor to fix it. I bought all Maytag appliances for my home. Spent $5000. I will never buy Maytag again. False advertising
Useless warranty. Defective product. 16 months and the $600 microwave broke. Will never buy Maytag again. They direct me to their service company for diagnostic. Put a cup of water in the microwave for 45 seconds. Magnetron broken has a 10 year warranty - useless. Diagnostic $160 to heat water. Then will be $371 to fix. Buyer beware the warranty that says 10 years is just advertising.

Recieved product in box. Took out and the opening rounded edges of doors are dented. I contacted Target and they replied that it was not returnable, refundable and if we needed further assistance that we had to contact Whirlpool. Not a very good experience for a $200 mini fridge that's supposed to be brand new. It almost looks like it's already used.

First time running the self cleaning cycle on the lower oven. Cycle appeared to run fine, but after the oven would not work. Whirlpool appliances were installed in a home we purchsed new in July 2017.
There is only a one year warranty & Whirlpool will do nothing to resolve. Internet information suggests this is a known problem with the oven - thermocouple fuse failure.
Would not think a customer should have to try the cleaning cycles on both ovens to ensure they will work properly, if the first cycle is not needed until after the 1 year warranty period.
They refuse all repairs even defective

I think appliances that don't come with a power cord should say on the appliance when it's bought. Or at least make the sales person let people know. Who ever knew a range & dishwasher wouldn't come with one! Knowing from past experiences we knew the range wouldn't but didn't know the dishwasher didn't have one. Talk about ridiculous having to go buy one then have to pay someone to hook it up. We have saved for over 30 years to be able to buy something nice, and now I have to fork out more money on stupid little things. Bad enough the price you pay for these.

This really shouldn't be a complaint for Whirlpool, as all ranges and dishwashers are this way. This is because the way they connect to power is not standard.
defective hot water heater
I've been having to deal with a defective Whirlpool hot water heater for quite some time. Whirlpool customer service hasn't been helpful at all. My nephew has tried to assist me and has sent pictures. They claim the hot water heater is in the bathroom and the pictures wasn't good which is total non sense. I resent pictures clearly showing the hot water heater is located in the laundry room which is totally separate from the bathroom and it shows in the pictures that the hotwater heater is located near the dryer and the washing machine which anyone in their right mind should know a toilet and bathtub isn't located in the laundry room. I'm tired of the back and fourth with Whirlpool customer service and has been trying to get assistance regarding another hotwater heater since it's still under warranty. I'm also going to file a complaint against Whirlpool with the Better business bureau.

We purchased this product and several other Whirlpool appliance (microwave oven, dishwasher) as a part of a kitchen remodel in July 2014. We had aleady paid for one major repair within just a couple years. Recently, it began having troubles again and the certified Whirlpool repairman told us the seals to the compressor had failed and the repair would be approx. $1600. and would have a 1 year limited warranty.
We feel this refridgerator should have lastedmuch longer and have chosen to replace it. We will not replae it with another Whirlpool model and intend to discontinue purchasing from Whirlpool. The new refridgerator will now cost $2300. This is an unacceptable performance for this appliance and we are very disappointed and intend to idiscontinue any future purchases of Whirlpool brand.
The only acceptable solution in our opinion is a partial refund of this product. Paid $1800 in July 2015, we feel Whirlpool should refund $1000. The model and serial are in the header.
my refrigerator tore up
I bought a dishwasher, refrigerator & a stove from Lowe's in Dayton Tn 3 years ago, I gave over $1, 000 for a side by side refrigerator. There is no reason for a factory default for my refrigerator to leak the gas out. I paid out over $200 out of my own pocket for the refrigerator to be gassed up, it lasted 2 days & it leaked out. Im on disability & I really cannot afford to buy another refrigerator. With my refrigerator being tore up I lost all my groceries & it really put me in a bind. We live within 30 miles from the department of Whirpool in cleveland Tn. I live in Dayton Tn. I cannot afford to bring my refrigerator to the whirpool factory in Cleveland Tn. They should stand by their name & fix the leak on my refrigerator. I am a loyal customer. I have purchased appliances. If they come & do the right thing & come fix the leak & gas up my fridge I will continue staying a loyal customer. They need to come & resolve these issues ASAP.

whirlpool duet front load set
I had my set for 5 years and I kept smelling something in my washing machine. I have cleaned it weekly, monthly. I use vinegar with every load.
I found out I'm allergic to mold, I keep my house as clean as possible but wake up every morning with my throat swollen due to allergies. I keep cleaning. I took my hand between the drum and the rubber seal and got my fingers caught in there but it was filled with mold.
We have to replace the washing machine due to the health problems with the mold.

Dear Whirlpool/Kitchen-aid,
As a customer for the past 35 years I am appalled at the way I am being treated.
I have a KMCS1016GSS stainless steel Microwave that was my second one in 10 years. This one bougt 10.19.18 installed 10.25.18 has gone bad. The time numbers has gone bad. The last number does not light up any longer.
Bay Cities in BH, CA told me to call Whirlpool. I waited 45 minutes on the phone to get Whirlpool to give me authorization for a new microwave. Confirmation #[protected] was given to me. They called me back for an appointment and Left me on the phone another 45 minutes and NEVER came back on the phone. I missed a very important meeting. Next we called again, left on hold another 50 minutes and finally hung up. We went on the website and was given a work order with Paradise appliance - thinking they would bring the Microwave and install it. You wasted their time. They said they don't do this work!
What do I need to do to get SOME responsible employee to finalize this request?
I need a new replacement microwave installed ASAP. You may schedule to come to my home at 10465 Lindbrook Dr. LA CA [protected] or cell [protected] ANY time on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, or Fridays.
I will NOT call again...and if I do not get this taken care of in the next week - I will call the better business Bureau and NEVER BUY another one of your products again!
I currently have your front washer and dryer - your dishwasher - you double ovens- and this microwave - But i also have a Sub zero and a Wolf range and these people know how to treat a customer!

Whirlpool corporation is horrible! When you have a major problem ; even a safty related issue - you are treated like dog meat. I'll never, ever purchase another Whirlpool product again and will warn others. I purchased a gas range, which for (some reason) has no BULB COVER ; and then the bulb burst into my food — cutting the inside of my mouth! Whirlpool was rude, and did not offer me anything other than the MSRP value of my stove ; and wanted to inconvenience me without any plans of a direct replacement. This is simply unacceptable, and unprofessional. I have since decided to contact our family attorney and will be holding legal proceedings against Whirlpool corporation for these defective Amana stoves that they continue to sell.

Our beautiful french-door Whirlpool refrigerator died after just over 3 yrs. of use We had purchased a Geek Squad 5 yr. warranty as we bought it at Best Buy. The Geek Squad took their good old time sending someone to repair it. But a new compressor didn't repair it, it needed replacing. The warranty only covers the cost you paid so if your model is discontinued (as ours was) you'll be paying big bucks for something comparable as prices seem to have skyrocketed within 3 yrs. With their help we selected a replacement that was just slightly more money than we paid but definitely a lesser model. Unfortunately the whole process took 2 1/2 weeks, way too long to live without a fridge! But the real problem was that the Whirlpool user manual described so many features that weren't on our model (model # WRF535SWHZ01) & we were not prepared for the confusion this caused us. No touch pad (which was mentioned several times), no temperature read-out, no door alarm, no max ice, not even a water filter number. In fact it described none of the features we had or even where to look for them in the fridge. I called Whirlpool Customer Service who said it was a generic manual. So I ask why would a consumer pay over $1300. for a fridge that had an inappropriate manual? They didn't really care or have answers other than to tell me our fridge had none of the items mentioned in the manual. Then I was transferred to "someone who could help" which turned out to be the wrong person. I am disappointed with Whirlpool for sure. Buyer beware!

In July of 2019 we purchased acomplete Whirlpool Kitchen Package. On delivery, the micro, electric stove and diswasher were damaged so badly that Home Depot did not even leave them. They did leave the refrigerator, because we neede one. All items were unboxed on our driveway and no one could believe that these items could have left the factory with such severe damage. The items were replaced several weeks later. All products were registered with your company. Included in our package was a micro Model WMH32519FW, which was one of the best models we could buy at that time. Sensor cooking, non stick surface etc. Well this micro died last week and the culprit seems to be the magatron. We know that your products are only warranted for one year, but should a micro not last for more than 2 years. Before we go out and buy a replacement, we would like to know if there is any goodwill way you can help us out. We purchased an Amana Upright Freezer last year. When we lived in Florida, several years ago, we purchased a Whirlpool Kitchen Package there. It appears to me that from our purchase in Florida to now the quality has decreased due to all of the problems we have had. We ask can you give us some help in replacing this micro. My wife and I have already removed it from the wall and have it in our garage. We have had many micros in our more than 70 years of life and still cannot believe that one of the better microwaves we could buy has failed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am frustrated with my new washing machine. I have had it three months.
First, I want to start the water running before closing and locking the lid. There are several reasons this is a useful feature. One being that when using liquid detergent I can rinse the measuring cup. Otherwise it runs out of the cap and down the jug. Second, I like to use the flow of water to scrub or rinse things. Thirdly, this method requires the detergent to be poured directly on the garments. Sometimes I find it better to start the water and add the soap to allow it mix. I have ruined at least three towels from my new set by poring the detergent directly on the towels. Yes, it was color-safe detergent. Is there a way I can start the water without closing the lid? Is there a way to undo this stupid feature.
My second problem and most frustrating is the machine does not clean my clothes which is absolutely ridiculous since that is the sole purpose of the unit. I find it necessary to rewash items often. Not only does it not remove debris from the garment it adds spots to them that were not there before. Am I missing something here? I have used all the soil level options which is not better it just runs for entirely too long. Running the machine longer is wear and treat and more electric in place of just adding more water. This is not water efficiency if I have to wash them twice nor is it practical.
Can I just have my old whirlpool back! The one that actually worked the way it should. Please help me work this machine if I'm missing something.

My Whirlpool stove caught on Sunday night. Cooking chicken and a little grease spill. Next thing i know the stove was on fire. Fire department came and spreed the fire extinguisher all over my apartment. Me and my kids had to run out side because of the smoke. I believe I called Orville's service in January of February 2019. Never thought I would need this information to have an appliance serviced. Been waiting most of the year to have dishwasher fixed. Two repair companies have been here in a span of 7 or 8 months; DC Appliances and Naab & Mooring (extended warranty company).
DC Appliances was here maybe 3 times and then said they would be back I thought. After about a few weeks I heard nothing so I called and they said appliance was unrepairable but that Whirlpool disagreed and said they would call extended warranty company. Didn't hear from them so I called Nash & Mooring and they said DC Appliances didn't call them but I got an appointment anyway. After 3 service appointments, Naab & Mooring said they called for part directly from Whirlpool. It's been over a month and they said they haven't heard anything about it and will call when they have it.
In what time frame will the part be here .? No one knows.
If part is unavailable, then shouldn't the machine be replaced?

waiting for our refrigerator for 2.5 months
We have been a loyal whirlpool user for many years and in general, have liked our appliances. I think we have been extremely patient but we have been waiting for our fridge to be built and shipped for over 2 months now.
We have been promised 3 times a 3-week date for delivery but the factory keeps pushing this date out (without telling us).
We have asked for a white counter depth fridge and purchased it from Appliance Discount center at 829 500 W., Bountiful, Utah 84010. The manager has tried his best to help but we feel like we are being jerked around now by whirlpool.
I would like someone to contact us or at least be honest when the fridge will be built or we will need to cancel this order (and future appliances) if your company does not help us have this problem solved in the next 3 weeks!
