16 of us were returning home after a West Jet package vacation in Mexico. Vancouver to Prince George BC was our last flight before home. Our Flight number was WS 3422 leaving Vancouver at 1255 pm. We were about 20 minutes from Prince George when the Pilot informed us that they were having instrument problems and we were going back to Vancouver. When the plane landed in Vancouver we were met with emergency vehicle's witch was quite traumatizing to several of us. My one girlfriend requires assistance, she had to wait outside the plane until the wheelchair arrived. That took 35 minutes! Once we were waiting in the airport they updated us with the same information every 30 minutes or so for 5 and 1/2 hours we waited. At one point we were told they were giving everyone meal vouchers. Another glitch in the system and no one received them. ( Also what can you get for $15 in the Vancouver airport anyway?) Then we were informed to all get back on the plane in a mad rush ! One we all get back on the same plane that had the problems, they inform us now they are going to fuel up the plane and we sat and waited another 30 minutes! Not a lot of happy people. I personally think WestJet should give us all something for compensation for this entire ordeal!
Claimed loss: Our ride home from the Airport had to go work so we had to take a taxi. We arrived at 830 pm so no one had dinner. My girlfriend was so stressed she says she will not travel anymore with WestJet.
Desired outcome: At least future travel vouchers or something
