Late departure out of Winnipeg to Vancouver airport on Feb 27, 2026. Reservation code OCHKME. Missed connecting flight to Hawaii. Was told by WestJet that because it was weather related, would not pay for hotel. We did have high winds that day however after we boarded our aircraft, I witnessed our luggage being put on the aircraft which took forever, making us late for Vancouver.

Claimed loss: compensation for hotel room, $197.32 cdn

Desired outcome: compensation for hotel room
