I currently have a mortgage on my home with Wells Fargo. I asked about refinancing to a lower rate and they said they would. After paying them for an appraisal and their fees, they have done nothing but find lame excuses to delay and deny refinancing a loan I already have with them. They've lost paperwork, ordered appraisals and canceled them and the loan processor has no idea of who or why appraisals were cancelled. They are either entirely incompetent or deliberately not refinancing loans. BTW, my loan balance is roughly 25% of the appraised value of the home and my wife and I have excelect credit scores.
Stay away from Wells Fargo!

You would think that the people that work for them have never had anything happen to them. Why not give someone a chance to make payments. I mean they don't even send you a bill on time and expect your payment to be on time. The way these people treat you, as if they are not human. Right now people are still loosing jobs and they can't even give you some extra time to make payments. If I knew then what I know now I would have never used them. God does not like ugly and their whole company is ugly. I swear I can't see their company staying around to much longer, If we all stick together and work with each other not to use Wells Fargo. If you know whats good for you and your credit you would not use them!

Wells Fargo is the worst…I mean the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of patronizing. Their customer service is a sloppy disgusting mess. Rather than to make sure you receive the proper service they would rather bounce you around, waisting your time (the so-called valued customer), never attempting to make your experience on the phone a pleasant one, all just to feed you some BS line that they can’t help you but the other department can but when you get to department that’s supposed to help you they don’t know how to help you either. Funny they will be all over you when they something from you but if you want something from them they all but tell you F..YOU!

Well that’s what I’m telling them F..YOU Wells Fargo, I hope your sorry ### business fails. You suck. I hope someone outs your disgusting scams and shuts your ### down. I hate you!

ASC and Wells Fargo are simply thieves I just reviewed my loan mod documents and noticed they jacked up my loan amount by $5000.00 form Feb 11 2010 to Feb 15 2010. These guys are crooked we should remember that one of their top executives was living and Malibu California beach house that Wells Fargo has foreclosed on and was suppose to sell to give the owners their money she had purposely delayed the sale and was throwing parties. Please write to office of the comptroller of currency, they handle these complains let them know how ASC is treating you.

Well i recently purchased a vehicle off of a person who was financed through Wells Fargo. So we decided to buy and sent a cashiers check for $**, *** to Wells Fargo well all was fine and dandy until i called to find out if the title had been released. I than found out that $70 was still owed and wells fargo did not notify the person i bought the vehicle off of. So i had the seller call and pay the money. So they take the money out the next day and i think yes finally i am going to get my title and i can drive this vehicle. Well i have the seller call one last time to confirm the release and we find out that Wells Fargo will not release the title until 7 days after the money has been posted. so now Wells Fargo is totally paid off but i still don't get my title. in my opinion i think that is an unethical practice when you pay a large sum of money for something it would be nice if i could at least drive my vehicle

Don't get a loan from them! Once you have your loan, you are stuck and you will get NO help from Wells Fargo! If you call customer service 3 times in one day, and ask the same question all 3 times, you will get a different answer each time. I have applied 6 times for loan modification under the homeowners affordability and stability program...MANDATED by the US Government. They have NO record of me EVER applying! I have applied online, from their website, using their forms 3 times...no record of it. I've applied 3 times by sending a fax to the Loss Mitigation Dept. No record of it. If you leave a message, nobody ever calls back, the customer service people transfer your call and you get disconneted! They are violating the spirit of the law and they are definitely NOT using MY TAX MONEY to help homeowners!

We modified December of 2090 and got out payment lowered to $1373. So I paid this amount for eight months, then I get a letter in the mail saying the payment was over 1, 800. So then they said I was showing short every month. Then I get a foreclosure notice that they want $10, ooo be October 22nd. If I don't send it they will start excelarated foreclosure process. What is wrong with these people? To much crack or what? I have sent them my modification closing papers and to no avail nothing has been done. I just keep getting letters. Then in the middle of all this they send me a letter saying my payment may be lower but, when I tried to submit that amount they would not accept it. They have not put any of my payments towards my house payment. They say its being held in a suspended account. What the hell does that mean.? These people are crazy and destroying peoples lives and families from all the stress.

When you live in Central America, Wells Fargo is the only bank that can accept and forward SS to you. What they don't tell you when you sign up is that you have to be IN THE US to transfer money to yourself outside the US, effectively keeping your SS from you. Also, if you can accomplish getting it, they limit to $300 per transfer and charge $8 per transfer. This is supposed to be a free account? They also use intimidation and have people pose as others to cover up. Never return phone calls. Automated complaint says use ATM, check or send letter. No ATM cards or checks will be sent to C.A. and letters take 90 days.

We took out a personal loan, we made the agreed payments on time every month using our checking account that we also had with Wachovia. About half way through the loan pay back it became necessary to stop using the checking account and we decided to continue with the payments using postal money orders. From the very first time we used a postal money order we received a letter (about 7 days after the payment was sent) stating we owe a late charge. so we started sending the payments several days earlier and still continued to receive the late charge letters until the end of the loan. So they say we still owe a little better than $1000.

Wells Fargo has horrendous customer service! They pass the buck from the 1-800 number to the branch.

I was a former Wachovia customer... When Wells Fargo purchased Wachovia customer service went down hill.

Wells Fargo branch rep said there would not be a fee for a savings account... If I opened one and come to find out there was a fee charged to my account.

When I called the branch the refer me to 1800 number.

Do not use Wells Fargo. They should be put out of business!

I had a very bad car accident and my vehicle was totaled. I was in the market for a new car. Through the Dealership I was accepted by Wells Fargo for my auto loan. I put $1000 dolars down on my loan and was told my payment would be due at the end of the next month. A couple weeks later my sister got a call asking for my contact information which she provided. I recieved a call during a meeting, they left a message and I called back promtly after the meeting. The women that called was laughing histerically when she answered the phone and took a few minutes to compose herself. She stated that I was past due on my Auto loan and I proceeded to tell her the circumstances, and that in fact I was not late. She became very aggressive and stated that they have called me several times on the matter, if in fact they had called me why would they have called my sister for my contact information? In order to have called me several times would mean they had my contact information correct? I continued to try to explain the situation, she interupted me and stated she was going to expidite the process and needed to know where the vehicle was parked. As if she was going to try to repossess the vehicle! Keep in mind according to thier recored I was 7 days late on the payment. Her behavior contined and I asked to speak with a manager. I could here the "manager in the background saying "for what". When the manager finally got on the phone it was like she was angry with me. I asked how this situation got so blown out of proportion and I was hung up on. I am refinancing as soon as possible! DO NOT GET A LOAN THROUGH WELS FARGO!

I opened a new account in wells fargo, but they make a big mistake to my address, when i check my personal information, i point out this big mistake directly, a staff Wayne Cheng, says he modify it already, then i leave for home and wait for the bank card mail to me, a long time pass by, i received nothing, las night i receive a Return Mail, it says due to my address is not correct, so the bank card mail has already sent back to wells fargo
my god, how can a bank staff let this things happen, if my bank card fall into the other's hand, or my privacy let out, who pay for it, how can a bank staff work so careless, when i talk with him about this mistake, his attitude is not mild, even a little word "sorry" not said to me from begin to end, what a pity, thins kind of service is really impolite, i think it is the right time to change another bank!

I been a wellsfargo customer for about 2 to 3 years. I have a home mortgage and an auto loan with them. I have never been late, always on time and more than minimun payment. I called them for several weeks and tried to get help by lowering my payments because of recent job lost and low income coming through unemployement. The mortagage part are not willing to help and I had to go through a different route. Nacca is a company that fights with banks to lower your mortagage payment. The car loan is impossible to lower the payment and they dont care if you lost your job. I looked at other companies that had helped their customers by lowering their payments by $50.00 a month. Thank you wellsfargo and defenetely telling me people that you guys dont care for customers and looking for a better company next time.

Don’t waste your time with Wells Fargo. I wonder where they get those people, like winners of a contest “worst spelling and communication in the class, the best slacker of the year”… Customers at least deserve to deal with somebody who’s able to build grammatically correct sentences, and also finish them. We applied for a loan pre-approval in the end of September 2010, now it’s mid-February 2011 and nothing is done. A few times they told us that it’s finished, and that they are sending a letter. Never did (probably, not literate enough to write it). Also (probably didn’t like our names) Wells Fargo asked us to produce VISAS!

I find it incredulous that Wells Fargo Bank doesn’t seem to give a damn about their customers. On a number of occasions, I have send emails to their “Contact Us” POC, as instructed on their website, only to not receive any answers at all, or, sometimes nonsensical answers that are probably “canned” responses that the agents read from scripts. Unfortunately, when you ask a question or have a problem that isn’t on their scripts, they have to “choose” a response anyway, even if it is not “on point”.

Further, I have written two letters to their Headquarters location, addressed to the Office of the President, since they have no customer service POC for written complaints or problems, nor do they have a Quality or Customer Service Advocate – Incredible! Both of these letters have been unanswered and my questions and problems are still not addressed.

This week, I sent another email message asking a straightforward question about a possible mistake on my online bank statement, only to receive an email reply asking me to call customer service for help. What the hell is this? Why provide online service if you cannot handle things online?

I find Wells Fargo Bank to be incompetent and unabashed in their advertising when they talk about superior customer service.

I have been a good customer with Wells Fargo Financial. I took out a Cash on Demand loan for a little over $1, 000 no missed or late payments. They added all these little insurance charges I never agreed to. I had to go in person to get the charges taken off. I have been a customer for about a year. I almost paid it off and I recently took out 3500 dollars for a vehicle I wanted.. With in two months they changed my interest rate from 18 to 25.4 percent. For a car loan? I called and got no where with everyone I talked to. They claim they notified me of the change. I have not seen any thing to that effect. They give excuses of "it’s a bad economy" "we are under different management" "there is nothing we can do". Turned into a scam. I thought with our tax money bailout the banks received would make it easier for the average joe trying to struggle with debt. Regulating the banks to a better standard. Wrong. I believe this is a scam to lock you into a debt with them and never be able to pay them off. They are not for the customer or for the economy. The are not concerned with their customers best interest. We are getting screwed twice. Our tax money is bailing the banks out and now with no regulation they can create another scam at the taxpayers expense and getting away with it. I decided I am going bite the bullet and get a bad credit rating and harassing phone calls. I am not going to pay them one dime until my account was the way it was. Another scam, just what this economy needs. Everyone looses.

Not too long ago Wachovia was taken over by Wells Fargo. I was told nothing would be changed and everything would stay as is. They LIED to me! I checked my account online and come to find out that everything had changed!

I used to have 4 free withdraws from any location, as long as that bank didn’t charge a fee! Well I would always go to the same one and this time Wells Fargo Charged me! What a rip off! I didn’t have a problem until the money grubbers took over!
I don’t understand how Wells Fargo can do this! They also charged me for maintenance on my checking account! What kind of maintenance are they doing? I can’t see them cleaning a dollar bill. So what is this charge about? They made me pay 5 dollars to even have a savings account! How am I supposed to save if I have to give them money to use it?

This company is a joke! I have heard numerous people just empty their bank accounts with Wells Fargo and go elsewhere. I will be doing the same thing this week! I can’t believe they are doing this! The US government just bailed out these idiots and this is how they are paying us back? NEVER USE WELLS FARGO!

I called customer service at approx 5:00 pm on 11/8/2011 and spoke to a "steve" as he refused to give me his last name I cannot provide it here. I explained that my account had been charged doubly for my monthly car payment as well as a couple of other credit card payments. I asked how this occured. He explaine that it was my fault in some detail. I explained what had occured when I was asked to go in and verify my bill pay set up when the switchover occured from Wachovia to Wells Fargo. I explained that the dates were detailed on the page showing when a guarantor would receive payment based on my send date. I adjusted the dates to take into that account so I wouldn't be late on my payments. Therefore I ended up double paying on my bills. I asked him why he hadn't explained this step when he "told" me what I had actually done. He told me "rather impertantly" that it was a manual modification that I chose to do. I explained that based on what I was seeing on the screen and the dates being displayed that I didn't think I had a choice. He was rude and condescending in his tone and his manner. I explained that I would like his name and I wanted to close out my accounts if I couldn't count on WF not to double charge me. He refused to give me his name at all and told me the call was being recorded. I said "good - then you should understand good customer service and that is when a customer ask you something such as your name or to speak to your supervisor that you should comply". He continued to run around in circles telling me that he would explain and answer my question ... I said ok .. what is your name ... this went on for some time and to no avail. He finally buckled and told me his name was Steve ... again I asked for his last name and/or his supervisor. He continued to circle around the question and was extremely rude. He finally told me he would get a supervisor ... that took quite a bit of time. A gentlemen came on and in a very deep tone said ... something to the effect of ... "yes ... can I help you". I began to explain about the bill pay miss understanding and got only a couple of sentences in and I was cut off. The loud beeping in my ear was the signal that your organization has some very poor customer service. So this "Steve" was incredibly rude ... I truly believe that the supervisor "whom did not give a name" was a fake. I will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as I can. I am very disappointed in your organization and most importantly in your shoddy customer service.

I use Wells Fargo's Bill Pay services and have my bills setup for scheduled and budgeted payments. I also have a savings account tied to my checking account where I keep some savings on hand.
We paid a tax bill and it hit the account before I transferred funds over, triggering my account and throwing it into an OVERDRAFT situation. The first time in my life. The same day, 4 items were paid from my scheduled Bil Pay "service" without funds being available. The Bank charged $34.00 per item creating an even deeper OVERDRAFT problem and the next day. Unaware that no funds were available, my husband was able to withdraw $200 from the ATM without any notice of the overdraft situation, and on and on. In a two day period, I was charged $306.00 in overdraft fees.
I do not remember authorizing the Bank to put my account in an overdraft situation. If no funds are available, then they should not allow the transaction. Ssurely technology is available to stop a payment /cash from being transferred.

We have been trying for 8 months to refinance with Wells Fargo and theyREFUSE to help us. So we went to another financial institution and agian Wells Fargo REFUSED to subordate our 2nd mortagage for us to re-finance. Wells Fargo is looking into a modification rate for us and they came back to us with amount that is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. It's apparent to us that Wells Fargo has no interest in customer service. We will do everything we can take our business else where. We have also written a note to our Congressman and we will be updating him your lack of co-operation. Forward this compliant to an employee of Wells Fargo that recieved my tax dollars in a simulus bonus this year and have him get back to me. We will be waiting for his call.

My wife needed eye surgery. We were offered an interest free loan from Wells Fargo to pay for the surgery. They set up the payments and sent us a monthly statement. We were told as long as we made all our payments over the 2 years of the loan. The loan would be interest free. We never missed a payment. However as we approached the end of the 2 year loan we were told the 2 years are up and we owe $956 dollars in finance charges. They obviously set up the loan to run just short enough as to cause the finance charges to kick in. I have tried repeatedly to reach someone in their corporate office to voice my dis-belief in their practices. Of course their flunky alleged supervisors will not release any numbers to the public. If anyone out there has a number for their corporate office I would appreciate if you would send it along. This company needs to INVESTIGATED!

I just found out that Wells Fargo charges me for using my own money out of my savings account. If you do any electronic type of transfer they charge you $10.00. This includes online transfers, auto withdraws, atm, etc. The only way they do not charge you is if you walk into their bank and ask them to transfer the money for you.

When I called them they stated all banks do this. I called 4 other banks and they stated that they do not charge you a fee.

I had recently changed my checking account so when I made my car payment to Wells Fargo it was sent to my old account. When I discovered this I called them and asked them what I should do to correct this issue. The customer service rep told me to change my bank account information on line and go ahead and make the payment again to the correct account. I did that and it was taken out of my new account on the 4th. Come the 11th wells Fargo sent the payment back through to the wrong account. The payment had been made and taken out of the correct account on the 4th. They take no responsibility for this and says its not their fault. Whose is it then. They are the ones tha were already paid and sent it back through to the wrong account. The Rep should have told me to make the payment to the wrong account because it will go back through, she never once told me it would do that. She told me to change the info for the correct account and make the payment which I did. They now refuse to pay over 100.00 in fees which are clearly their fault. I will never use Wells Fargo again under any circumstances and I see in the future they will go under. Horrible company. Mind you, I have never missed a payment in he 3 years I have had this account and always on time. Wow

Wells Fargo took an unauthorized payment from my account and now has stated they dont record every conversation and they might not be able to return my funds. They are supposedly checking to see if they have the conversation recorded.
Do not authorize them to ever take funds from your account they took an additional payment from mine and have shown little to no proactivity in correcting the issue.

I have had it with inept Wells Fargo customer service/phone bank reps--areally WellsFargo in general! Been with WF since the 80's but the WF's 800# (or any other WF dept) I get unknowledgeable, inconsistent, and uncaring people with attitude (usually the women..). I complained 4x - only to be lectured about by "executive level" phone bank gals. Discusting. They dont listen or care about customers. BUT they get their paycheck. I was given 2 DIFFERENT mailing adresses (to mail complaints to CEO levels-since the verbal complaints I gave (and promised someone will call me..) - (SF or Charlotte, NC...) ? I dble checked with 2 diff. phone #'s given- no one heard opf NC...VERY inconsistent, attitude, and NO help. A WASTE of time. Where do they get these workers? That is the problem with American nowdays-no quality people. They dont train them consistently or properly.
WellsFargo acts like a 2 star bank. But the executives are making tons of money--why?
I may take all my $ out. There are at least 50 diff. phone #'s on the online banking site-none provide help. The email addr. only sends back a cookie cutter email -to call the 800 # ! What a joke. I never did get help with all the calls I made.

Wells Fargo has forgotten that we are their customer, we keep them in business. Our loans were sold to them, Each time we try for a Modification was a lost case from the begining. How many times do you have to keep faxing over the same paperwork? Where is all my personal information going ? if you guys say you have not gotten it.You fax and you fax only to be told no.I was told by Susan from the start that Wells Fargo was not going to help us.I asked her did you just say no before I could even get the words out my mouth. She told me to tell my husband to get his child support lower! I was so upset. How can you tell your customer to stop taking care of there children. I wish my loan was with someone other than Wells Fargo. They will not listen they do not have compasion for their customers. Some time I think its not worth it.On top of it all I was sick and was having surgury'the next day.We have tried 3 times and all I ever hear it NO. And had the nerves to ask me do I want to open a bank account with them. No! i now understand why so many people walk away from their home and do not look back.I ts call a peace of mind.We all want to keep our homes but with out the stress.Modifcations does not apply to this company. We are not trying to get out paying.we just need a little help. And as of now 3 times is a charm, I am stress to no end. And this company employess are trained to be rude and where is all my paperwork? I bet you guys did not even read or look at it. Wells Fargo is not for the customers. And if they put your payment on the end of your loan it still shows up on your new payment as late and they report it as late to the credit buerau. Therefore your score drops lower.Ok my taxes was lower, why am I paying the same amount, WHEN MY TAXES COME OUT OF MY MORTAGE? I have not gotten an answer yet.
Tired of trying...

Bill payer made an error in a bill to the amount of $25, 000. Trying to get the bill payer folks, local bank to rectify the problem almost 10 working days later, still no resolution - - just the run around. So much for expediting, no communication from the wells fargo folks except '"working on it". No return call from the local branch. Terribly dissatisfied - - - don't use wells fargo - - they are useless. Still trying to get back the extra $25, 000 after 8 business days (Iso much for expediting such a large amount) , won't let us talk to a supervisor - - - piss poor service. Will close the account as soon as this is rectified - - without the help of the wells fargo branch. Also, wells fargo and their financial counterpart, wachovia apparently don't like each other - - after 1 year, still have had problems when at the local branch. Do not use wells fargo!

So I just opened an account. Have been doing side jobs along side my actual job. I received a check for almost 4, 000$. I told 3 managers that the check could be 'iffy' and to keep tabs on it. I told them MULTIPLE times! Turns out the check was fraud as I assumed. Instead of notifying me, calling me, to help resolve the matter. They closed my account! Now me and my fiancé cannot move into our new home because I wont receive my LEGITIMEN funds for a week! I TOLD THEM COUNTLESS TIMES that if its suspicious it was not me! Neither of the branch manager did what I asked or helped in any way! And to the wells fargo response that only replies one half assed reply to complaints. I say ^#%@%@ you! And wells fargo! anyone who reads this I highly suggest you quit banking with them immediately! They are scandalous and have no respect for customers! I work my butt off and they screwed me horribly! I have complained to multiple siter including BBB and such.

i had over $700.00 in my checking acct. and i went to gas station and spent $20.00 debit and then to grocery store $35.00 debit and restaurant $30.00 debit.. still over $600.00 in my acct after running errands.. on same eve i was getting my direct deposit of over $800.00 put into same checking acct... i went to another bank - union bank - and deposited my rent check into my landlords checking acct. $1100.00- no prob. since it usually takes approx 2 days to hit my wells fargo checking acct. well, next morn.. wells fargo decided to put the $1100.00 on the bottom of the list b/4 all the debits of the day and deposits and put me over $200.00 in the hole... this is horrible. i spent the next day at 3 branches of wellsfargo speaking to managers that didn't care and kept referring me to cust service who pretty much said they have the right to rearrainge all debits and deposits the way they want.. so pretty much. screw me... what is wrong with this picture? this needs to stop now...

I had a problem that showed up on a credit report with the wrong dates, potentially implicating my x-husband in credit card fraud using my SS#. I went to the local Wells Fargo bank to verify or resolve the problem. The local bank manager was great but, that is where any resemblance to customer service ended. I tried to get hold of anyone to file a complaint, and no one can do that at Wells Fargo. Their customer service is sooo bad that you can't even get anyone to file a complaint about their customer service. No email addresses are readily available either, although I am still looking. I removed any of my money from Wells Fargo years ago and will now encourage my current spouse to remove all of his accounts with Wells Fargo as well. I certainly think anyone should think more than twice about using them as their financial institution.

Wells Fargo recently acquired Wachovia. During the acquisition, all users were required to convert their online banking accounts to the new Wells Fargo system. I have both personal and corporate (C corporation) accounts. When performing the conversion to Wells Fargo, I was informed that when I access my personal accounts online, my Corporate accounts will also be accessible. As a Class-C Corporation, I am just an employee of my business although I have majority voting rights on its' board. I receive a paycheck just like any other employee would. Previously, I had separate logins/passwords for personal and corporate accounts, as is standard data security practice. I was informed by Wells Fargo that they do not support this and my UNRELATED business accounts will also show up in my personal account login. I explained to them that this is potentially a huge data security issue and they stated that there is nothing that could be done.

A few months ago, my PERSONAL online account was hacked and accessed from Mexico--Wachovia (before the acquisition) stopped the hack, and my business accounts were never in danger as they were separate from my personal account. Under this new "better" system, ALL of my accounts would have been potentially breached.

I am appalled that a company who should be as concerned about data security as Wells Fargo would conceive such an insecure system. I intend to close all of my accounts at Wells Fargo and transfer them to a bank that actually cares about data security.

I just closed a 6 figure account with Wells Fargo today and the bank officer did not care! Since Wells Fargo took over Wachovia, the service has been horrendous. The bank officer in the Syosset, NY branch gave me incorrect information so when I went to Florida to specifically take care of business for my mother's account; I could not complete this business. In addition, the bank changed the type of account my mother holds (obviously the woman on the phone wanted her brownie points and commission). When my mother called the bank to change the account back, the CSR said this could not be done over the phone. So Wells Fargo can change her account over the phone without permission but cannot bring the account to its original account state over the phone. She also will be closing her account. You work hard for your money - make sure you place your trust in a banking institution that deserves and appreciates your business.

I got a month and a half on my mortgage due to the IRS was holding my refund over a 500.00 mistake by my accountant. Day after day, every day I received a phone call from Wells Fargo. Even though I called them on three separate occasions that the reason for non payment. Stating I would pay them when I received my pay check. Is there a law or restriction on how many times a company can call? They continued every day sometimes three times a day calling. This is pure out harassment.

I would like to know if anyone who's had a bad experience with WellsFargo had their issue resolved in their favor. We found out that not are we NOT overdrawn, but should have a balance of over $1200. I doubt we'll ever see any of our money. They're saying we're- today AM: $1011 overdrawn, funny that tonight we are suddenly $1187 overdrawn, but there's been NO activity on this account. What the hell is going on with this bank? $490 of this is overdraft fees. Which as I said, shouldn't have been on there in the first place.

to everyone on this website in the houston area...especially those who work in banks...i was just watching the morning news and learned there is a bank robber on the loose. the assailant is not known to be armed and it is a woman. the woman appears to be older, with a short gray wig on. however, security cameras caught the assailant as she removed the wig, revealing long dark brown hair. she has robbed bank of america on briar forest and wells fargo on westheimer. beware of her, or if you do work in a bank and just happen to get robbed by her just hit her she looks as if she can't fight. i dont think she is armed.
