Wells Fargo racism, horrible customer service.

Complaint against : lisa cafferty (Home mortgage consultant)

Wells fargo home mortgage | 4456 corporation lane, suite 100 | virginia beach, va 23462

Subject: refinance home with same bank for 15 years instead of 30 years.

I have never ever expected such a horrible customer service in my life where I have ended up with no response just to change my home loan to 15 years from 30 years with the same bank wells fargo. I have some of the e-mails which shows the starting date of my conversation as well the end date of e-mail conversation. More over after that no call back after leaving 100s of voicemail. Finally I decided to with drawl all my banking service from wells fargo, (My checking account, credit cards to home loan account). I would rather don’t mind paying extra money to refinance from bank of america and transfer all my account with them. This bank should be ashamed to have such kind of home mortgage consultants such as & ldquo;lisa cafferty”. Which can not gave any response in 75 days, may be they are racsim. I have all my e-mails which can prove the useless service. They should have been terminated with immediate effect. Ultimately they are the losers who losses my accounts & no recommendations for this bank in future with a negative reviews. If someone really want to look into this matter I have all documentary proof for the same. It happen because she a racist, which I felt with my 1st conversation with here in here office but I ignored that at that time.

They say they will take action if it reaches 100 point. It means they will never take action. Why have they made this website for? Just to do the legal formality.

You have grossly distorted the definition of racism This Place Needs More Descartes, hammering Brenda's point home that it is not an example of racism.

Damn Descartes. [censored] move. You left out the racism qualifier in your incomplete posting of the definition that proves you're a [censored] and that making an accurate observation about a person's race is not racism. Intelligent debates are best left to those who possesss intelligence.. Bye bye dunce.

No Brenda, you cannot tell a persons race. Just because a person sounds a certain way, does not mean they are x or y race. You may be able to discern nationality or a regional accent but nationality does not equal race. If I am speaking to you - you cannot tell from my voice whether or not I am white, black, green, blue or purple with orange polka dots.

According to this complaint, you dealt with them via email and telephone - so how pray tell, was there any racism involved? You cannot see a person's skin colour through the phone or through email. You cannot judge a person's race by their voice. Heck there are times you cannot judge a persons GENDER by their voice or their email conversations.

Secondly - HUNDREDS of voice mail messages? Please tell me that is an exaggeration, otherwise that could be harassment on your part and you better believe if someone was calling my work leaving multiple voice mail messages, I would do my best to distance myself from that person as well.

Because a person has incorrect grammer it does not eliminate the fact that WF may have treated them in a racist manner. Please direct your comments / rebuttal to the issue od the complaint. The charge of inadequate grammer does not disprove racism. WF, shame on you.

Wells Fargo interest fee charge made me go over limit

When reviewing my statement online it said that I had an available credit of approximately $250. My computer needed to be repaired, I slid my card for $160. I thought I had enough credit to spend the $160. This would have left me with $90 of available credit.

However, on 08/02/12 Wells Fargo randomly charged me the interest of $158. This made me go over my credit limit of $10, 000. I went over by $3.75. Wells Fargo should let consumers know when the interest is going to be charged. If I would have known when they were going to charge me the interest this situation could have been prevented.

Just because of that I had to pay my monthlycredit card bill of $255 right away. I paid on 08/03/12.

Even after the overlimit was paid, Wells Fargo had the nerves to report it to the credit beuros on 08/06/12. I had even asked a rep if it was going to affect my credit score and be reported and the rep said "NO". They lied to me about this.

I do not understand why if I paid on 08/03/12 did Wells Fargo report the overlimit on my credit card.

I called and asked Wells Fargo to clear the overlimit and they said it will take 30 days to update in the system. 30 days is too long. Especially that I paid right away even before the date they reported it.

P.S
In the end my computer repair ended up costing me 160+ 158 from interest and $255 from the amount I pay monthly for the credit card bill. The grand total for my computer repair was $573. I even had to take money out of my saving. Had I known I would have paid the $160 with my debit card.

Wells Fargo worst company ever

So my fiance and I live near tamaqua pa, and wells fargo has an office there, well here is my horror story about wells fargo... We just got an acct there 2 weeks ago, and we go in there this past friday with my 1 yr old child to deposit a check that was in my name, and the guy who was helping us took us into his office and sat us down, asked how he could help, we told him what we needed and he tel
Ls us that wells fargo doesn't let you do this, so my fiance got mad because that's the only reason we got the acct in the first place so he told the guy that wells fargo sucks and to close our acct. Well I guess the guy took it personally, and started giving my fiance an attitude and wasn't closing our acct like we had asked he was all flustered and my fiance told me and the baby to go outside to get ready to go, I had to put the baby in the car seat, well I get outside and 5 minutes goes by and my fiance comes outside and is shaking really bad, and I asked what was the matter, and he tells me that the man who was helping us called my fiance a liar, twice because my fiance told him we've never had a problem doing it before, and we just moved from nj, and he called him a liar, so my fiance said f**k you and the guy said it right back to him and flipped him off and told him he had to leave. Nice right! So he went out into the lobby outside of the guys office so someone would help him close our acct like we asked before any of this happened, and the guy starts flipping him off from in his office, so my fiance was like really? And flipped him off back, so the guy got right in my fiances face like he was going to fight him and started cursing at him again, until someone came over and told them they were calling the cops and my fiance had to leave. So needless to say, my fiance had to go to work after because this was at 9am, and I went home to get the ceo's number to call and complain about this man, and they tell us that we will get a call back either that day or monday, well no one ever called us back, and the man at wells fargo kept his job, and didn't get in trouble at allllll because he lied about his part to the story, and no one could see what was going on in that offfice while this was happening until my fiance stepped out of his office. Im soooooo infuriated about this, this was complete disrespect, all the guy had to say was "i'm sorry you feel that way" when my fiance said wells fargo sucks, and close his acct like he asked in the first place and send us on our way instead of being rude and disrespectful enough to get my fiance to curse at him. So I would not would not would not tell anyone to go to wells fargo, they are rude, don't take the right actions, disrespectful, and do not wish to help their customers, they'd rather gang up against their customers and call them liars and let people like this work at their office in tamaqua, pa. I'll be writing other blogs about this problem so I can reach out to people before they decide to go to wells fargo to open an acct or give them any type of business. This situation was never handled properly, the man should have explained y we couldn't do what we wanted, and what we could do to fix the problem, and he should have just closed our acct like we asked when he didn't tell us what we could do to fix the problem, and all we had to do was put my name on the acct to. But he failed to tell us that, and I was sitting right in there when they were talking about it and he never did anything to help, just kept throwing punches until my fiance would't take it anymore and said f**k you to him. What kind of business lets people work for them, and takes their employees side and dont listen to the customer when something serious like this has happened. Im completely disgusted by this place! Absolutely no one should be treated with such disrespect in a place of business. Once again all the employee had to do was explain the problem or close the acct like we asked, he didnt have to call my fiance a liar twice to his face. No one should ever open an acct or give wells fargo any business. They are a horrible business to be associated with, and i'll make it a point to write something everyday about fargo until I feel like ive done enough damage to this company as they did to my fiance that day and then he had to work on top of all of this while still in shock and he was shaking the whole day because all he could think about was what had happened earlier that day. & mdash; with thomas gall at wells fargo, tamaqua, pa.

Wells Fargo is quite possibly the worst company I've ever had to deal with. While trying to get my student loans put on deferment or forbearance I was given the run around so many time it literally made me sick. Each time I called with the SAME question I got different answers or a little more information than the last time I called. I truly believe the company is having its customer service employees tell its customers half of what they need to know. Usually if you call a company and have a complaint or are having a hard time with something they will work with you. No, not Wells Fargo. I was literally crying on the phone because I was so frustrated with being lied to given the run around and all the customer service rep would do was offer to help me pay my bill over the phone. My payments are so high I am literally choosing between paying this loan and buying food. For fear of becoming delinquent on my student loan, it wins and food doesn't. Wells Fargo makes me sick and if I could re-do anything in my life I would NEVER have chosen Wells Fargo to be my lender for my college tuition.

I agree, they advertise that they can consolidate student loans and it is such a hassle when you call you don't even want to deal with it.
I made my husband call and we have great credit and they didn't even act interested in helping him. The only way they wanted to to do it is if they take the payment directly from your checking account monthly and even that information was not very clear.

Wells Fargo retail bank from hell

These idiots would not part with MY money. I had some CDs left over when the bank was Wachovia. Well, they said they had to put the funds in a new account and then charge me up the wahoo with fees. They took me for a complete rube. I hollared very loudly in their branch and got my money back after hours of being pressured to do create this account or that account. Just cut me a check and let me leave already you evil pushy ###!
Been doing business with lots of banks over 25 years. Worst experience ever at Wells Fargo. I will never set foot in their business again. I've read dozens of horror stories about this bank. I've never been so angry and frustrated at a bank in life.

Wells Fargo - mortgage

We applied for a mortgage the first week of May2012. We were told we would close by the end of May, no later than the first of June. We were approved the first day and moved forward. Being told by underwriting that we were approved the entire time...we spent money on appraisal, repairs, and termite bond. 93 days later..the day BEFORE closing we were...

Wells Fargo issues with mortgage with wells fargo

Hello everyone,
I am really concerned with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. I feel like I am being cheated by Wells Fargo. Below are some of the issues :
1. They gave me the mortgage at a very higher interest rates than any other banks.
2. While giving the loan, they promised me that they will re-finance any time without any charges.
3. They have not given me online access to my Mortgage loan website, so I am not sure what is the balance in my account and how much payment is done.
4. I called Wells Fargo customer support so many times to setup my account, but no one helped me at all and I still dont have access.
5. I recently made a payoff on my account and even after paying off a huge portion of my mortgage loan, they are still charging me higher premium instead of reducing it.
6. They are just taking out money from my account by means of auto-pay without getting back to me with the exact premium.,
7. Their customer support is very bad and even after calling so many times, I still cannot access my mortgage account online.
8. I visited the branch this morning and even after visiting they could not help me.
9. I called for the Re-financing around 2 months ago and someone in customer support told me that he will call me back in one hour, but he never called me even in 2 months now.
10. This is very frustrating for the first time home buyer and I am feeling like being cheated by Wells Fargo and willing to file a complaint against them.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Wells Fargo 3 step refi fraud

Wells Fargo claims to have a 3 step refi process - fat chance. First time they denied my eligibility b/c I hadn't been at my current job for 6 months (they didn't count time I worked for myself even though I made more money). I applied again after I'd been working at my current job for six months - now they say my credit score isn't high enough. They said it is less than 720 - odd thing is that I have never had any credit problems and when I started this process a couple months ago my credit score was 768 - as reported to them by Experian. They sent that to me in April. Now they say they did a "soft" credit check in May and my score from Experian was less than 720 but they wouldn't give me what they were looking at. Then he said they can do a refi with more than $3000K in closing costs rolled into the loan. What a scam!

Wells Fargo senior rep angela

I received a rude voice message from Senior Rep Angela today July 24, 2012. I called Wells Fargo customer service to see if my car payments was up to date because she left an impound notice message. After talking to the customer service rep, I was informed that my payments are not only up to date but my payments are three months in advance. There is currently no payments due until October 21, 2012. Then, I told the representive that someone left me a message name Angela from Wells Fargo Delear Service and I was concerned. The representative then gave me a [protected] to call. I then called that number and I was transfer to angela. She answer the phone really rude asking me what I wanted. I said actually I am returning your call. She later said to me she wanted to get information from me regarding a report she received. I said to her I am more than willing to provide information to someone who can treat me with respect and has customer service skills. She responded, " Who are you? Do you have a degree in Psychology? She then place me on hold. Actually, I do have a college degree in psychology little did she know. I am a loyal customer for 3 years now and I am really surprise by the kind of service I received.

Wells Fargo took money out of my account

There is a company that said I owe them money. They had my Debit card number. I do not owe them any money. I went to Wells Fargo bank and talked to one of the bankers. I was told that if I got a new debit card that the company wouldn't be able to take any money from my account. I was issued a new debit card. But the company withdrew the money from my account even though I didn't have all the money they wanted in my account. Wells Fargo approved the withdrawal. Now I will be charged for insufficient funds.I went to talk to Wells Fargo bank manager. He told me there was nothing he could do. I asked"how could WF approve the withdrawal if I didn't have the funds in my account"?. He said that is their policy. Yeah, right. Because they get the fees from insufficient fund accounts, so they cause accounts to become insufficient. I am closing my account, that's for sure.
WELLS FARGO BANK IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS AND LIARS!

Wells Fargo finance / total loss

Wells Fargo has grown so large, their right hand does not know what their left hand is doing!

To summarize, they financed a vehicle twice and charged me for 3 additional insurance policies. Then financed another vehicle that was supposed to be on ONE loan that I signed a contract and agreed to. Then went against the contract and split it into two full car payments a month AFTER agreeing to keep it as ONE LOAN. They used their insurance to cover the loss, but are still charging us for it!

I financed a vehicle with Wells Fargo a few years ago. They required an additional $500 for a GAP insurance company. 2 years later, we refinanced with them. They made us pay additional insurance charges to cover in case of total loss including insurance to cover the deductible this time.

A few months ago, the vehicle was rear ended and became a total loss. The 2 GAP insurance policies refused to pay stating their records from Wells Fargo showed it was paid off. We had to finance another car, and Wells Fargo said they would merge the small remainder of old loan with new loan until they fixed the GAP insurance mistake.

Instead, they never merged them and never sent the correct information for the GAP claim, which now has expired. Then they sent a letter saying to call to work a different plan for the amount left over. I call and they are demanding full payment plus past due. I told them about the letter, they redirect me to another department that only takes voice mail. They never call back and are now charging it off as a loss instead of trying to settle this. But they also told me their insurance covered the loss, but they are still charging me for it.

We agreed to not do two separate car payments, but now they won't talk to us about it. They either want full past due payment, or charge it as a loss despite sending us a letter asking to change payment arrangements! How can they break their contract? How can they force us to buy 3 insurance policies that all failed, then use their own insurance to pay it off, and STILL charge us for the loss?

Wells Fargo pmi removal

We refinanced our house in September 2010 to get a lower interest rate and shorten our loan term. At that time, our LTV was slightly higher than 80% resulting in PMI. Our original loan documents included a Private Mortgage Insurance Disclosure Fixed Rate Mortgage document that stated PMI would be cancelled (upon our request) when our LTV reached 80% on July 1, 2012. The document goes on to state that PMI would be automatically terminated on March 1, 2013, when our LTV reaches 78%. We contacted our current lender, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, to request cancellation of PMI. We were told that the PMI could not be cancelled until our LTV reaches 75% despite the terms set forth in our legally binding contract. Keep in mind that our payment history is 100% on time with automatic payments through Wells Fargo and our loan is not high risk. Also, Wells Fargo even included these same guidelines, citing the Homeowner's Protection Act of 1998, when it sent out our projected escrow balance and payments for the year! Yet they refuse to cancel our PMI until we reach 75% LTV!

I don't know how to locate others experiencing the same problem. I would certainly join a class action against WF but finding a law firm willing to fight them would be an issue. Their nearly limitless resources makes it extremely difficult to take a stand against them. That's what's so frustrating. In my case they ignored the terms of a legally binding contract, making up their own terms instead. They had zero concern that any legal entity would force them to abide by the terms of the contract. It seems that they believe themselves to be above the law.

I am having a similar problem with them. I wonder if there is a way, other than posting on this board, of locating others in a similar situation to see if we have a case for a class action.

Wells Fargo 401k

I requested a 401K loan for emergency home repairs its summer in Texas and my air conditioner died they told me it would be 5-7 days before I would get they check I asked could they do a wire transfer they said against their policy BUT they offered a UPS option if I had a credit card so what choice did I have I know how much a next day afternoon delivery they hit my credit card for $31.85 for this which seems a little high I know I have sent Fedex next day afternoon much cheaper and as big as Wells Fargo is they should get discount rates. My complaint is they are a bank why could they not wire transfer the money in the first place and the UPS fee seems high and all this just to get MY HONEY its not THEIR MONEY I am the customer and this is an emergency they have no compassion at all they are cold and heartless they SURE TAKE YOUR MONEY but are unflexable and uncaring when you try to get to it in an emergency. I will be moving my balance to an IRA to get it away from Wells Fargo. I see why they have so many class action lawsuites against them whole company seems to be unethical not the first time I have had issue they denied me the making housing affordable program said I did not meet the requirements but when I called the governement was told I sure did qualify they flat lied to me told me they could not help till I was behind on my payments and my reason was not acceptable to asking for assistance both lies am checking into joining a class action suite against them now seems they have done this to lots of people did not want them in the first place my loan was sold to them if I could refi and get away I would. DO NOT DO BUSINESS OR USE CAUTION DOING BUSINESS WITH WELLS FARGO THEY ARE COLD HEARTLESS PEOPLE AND IN MY BOOK UNETHICAL.

Wells Fargo car title

I received a letter dated June 9, 2012 from Wells Fargo Dealer Services advising me that my loan was paid in full and the car Title would be mailed to my address. As of July 3, 2012 I have not received my car Title. I telephoned customer service on June 27th at [protected] which is just their call center in Texas and spoke to David and to Terry the Supervisor. David told me the Title had been mailed on June 9, 2012 but that was not true. I insisted on speaking with a Supervisor and Terry told me that the Title had not yet been mailed from North Carolina. I don't know who to believe. I mailed 3 letters to 3 different Wells Fargo addresses. I also e-mailed the company. I have heard nothing from Wells Fargo. I am a widow and since my husband passed away I have paid off the mortgage on my home and and paid off the loan to Wells Fargo on my Lincoln Town Car. I have been working for a state organization as a Customer Service Rep. for 15 years and I am a responsible woman and I expect a business and their employees to do the same. I don't appreciate being lied to. I have wondered who received the monthly payments on my loan. I bought the car from a Ford Dealership in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee but they went out of business. My original loan was with Ford and later I received a letter telling me that Wells Fargo held the loan on my car. My name is Virginia A. Stone, 808 Bundrant St., Waynesboro, TN 38485 - Telephone [protected]. Thank you for your assistance.

Wells Fargo harrassment

I am the POA on all of my parents accounts with this Bank. My father passed away on May 10th 2012. After going through some paperwork for my Mom, I found a credit card bill since my Dad has no estate no money coming in except for half of what he earned for my mom to live on. I tried to contact the Credit Card division to work out payment arrangements and was told that since they did not have any POA paperwork they would no talk to me. I have been playing this game since the middle of may and today I was told by a customer service rep that I had no grounds to put demands on them since they didn't have paper work. I am at my wits end and refuse to call them again. I went to my branch office today and they tried calling and were told the same thing. In the meantime my Mom is getting harrassing phone calls asking for money that she doesn't have. How can they harrass an 83 year old widow, and not want to discuss getting something out of this.

You can learn to budget until you get back on your feet. Guess you can sell your car and pay for public transit, it will cost less than the insurance and gas money. You can decide to only buy what you need instead of what you want.

Wells Fargo - illegal repossession

My husband financed a car through Wells Fargo in December 2010. Up until our move in October, we paid more than the minimum monthly payment. In the upheaval of moving, we missed two months' payments, and without warning, Wells Fargo repossessed our car. We paid the fees and got it back, and part of the process was proof of insurance, which we faxed to them...

Wells Fargo incoming wire

For second time I got an incoming wire from Perú (South America) being charged for a fee that never was told before. One year ago, I got another incoming wire from Perú with same problem. Went to the bank and was told that probably was charged in Peru and to investigate the reason they would have to charge me. In Perú the fees for sending money were already paid so the quantity missing was only for Wells Fargo side. Then they said that because the money went to New York and then to Salt Lake City. And no reason why when the international incoming wire goes to San Francisco and not to New York. I passed this lost. Then I decided to make a change with another bank in Peru and with same Wells Fargo here. Again, after paying proper fees in Peru, there's missing in the bank here. So the problem is Wells Fargo. And not only that, but instead of the $ 10.00 free for incoming wire they took $ 16.00, and the amount of the incoming wire was half less than the one last year. I am feeling really disappointed with this bank. Already had taken the money to a credit union since then. And use WF bank only for small transactions. And of course no more incoming wires through this bank. I hope everybody can be aware of the hidden fees that this bank does and try not to work with them about incoming wires from another country..

Wells Fargo pretenders of modification of loan

Wells Fargo pretends to give us a home-mortgage modification... we supplied over 50 pages
of documents...They claim paperwork lost. We sumitted paper work over, & over, It took
many hours, of making sure all the paper work was summitted. This went on for over 2
months, we could never make any live contact, had to call numerous times. Finally, we get a letter, we are denied because paper-work was due 30 days ago, & was not supplied. Wells Fargo are a scam, they are frauding, Tricking
people. Why they even pretend to get these loans done, I do not know. WELLS FARGO IS A SCAM!

Wells Fargo auto repo

I was up to date on the payments on my car, have full auto ins. and Wells Fargo had my car repossessed, this is the 2nd time they have done this, I cant get through to them and I have tried but put on hold for 2-4 hours each time. I plan on just telling them to keep the car and refund all that I have paid, plus interest paid. They are the worst bank I have ever delt with.
Fed up in Wa. State.

Not exaggerating nothing, WFF has a very bad team working for them, and a very low rating by the consumers of this country. Every thing stated are the correct facts, it is dam hard to explain all the mistakes by WFF when so many of them are made by so many different people, and I'm not the only person they have did this to. look I just wrote what happen in the shortest way possible, end of story, take it or leave it.

Yes, they told me it was a "Civil matter" as the repo man had signed papers from WFF
Att. I just received a phone call from the CEOs secretary that a mistake was made "again" and they are looking into this matter. So we will see what plays out today. I have contacted my personal attorney and he said we have a solid case for a lawsuit against Wells Fargo, and he knows that this has been done many times by WFF, we will win the suit, and with treble damages. I dislike all of this drama but sick of WFF screwing with the little guy.
What a world we live in today, no wonder people go off the deep end.

I have called all the phone numbers I could find for help on this matter, I have been put on hold for over 3 Hours ! time and time again, they took my car late Friday night, so there was no way to contact anyone. The tow truck driver gets paid to do this, and if does not he looses that account, and he had the paperwork to do so, so I would not call him an idiot, I would call the Bank the Idiots, they place themselves in a position of Legal action by me, which is going to happen.

Update by Nam Vet 67

I paid the payments direct to Wells Fargo Bank, 3 days before due date, have the receipt with the date, time and account numbers, the cash went directly into Wells Fargo Bank account. They have done this twice, the first time they said sorry our mistake, this time we are going to start litigation against the Bank, Tow company, and anyone else involved.
Bear in mind this all happened with in 30 days, taken twice. The Tow truck driver told me that Wells Fargo makes this mistake all the time, and he gets paid for doing this very well.

Wells Fargo service charges on student checking

I have been with Wachovia since 2004 and got switched over to Wells Fargo last year. When I had my free student checking account with Wachovia and then Wells Fargo, they assured me that I would never have a service charge on there and would not have to worry about a minimum balance. I logged on yesterday morning to pay a bill, and lo and behold, a $5.00 service charge on my account out of the blue. I ran down to my local Wells Fargo and told them that there was a charge on my account that I was assured would never be on there. He looked at it and told me that I had to have a minimum balance in there or direct deposit. How can I manage that if I'm a college student? I told him I want my money back. He made me fill out a form to see what he could do in 5 days. I went to another bank last night to open up a new account with no service fees and no minimum balance. I will never do business with Wells Fargo again.

A similar thing happened to me with my Wells Fargo Account last year and this year. Last July I was informed by Wells Fargo that a new service fee would be applied come August UNLESS I made some changes in my banking, which would avoid this. I made said changes, and it was avoided. It was going to be a $7.00 fee. UNTIL, 6 months later I logged on to my account online, and there was a $12.00 monthy fee out of nowhere! I called and was told I could get this fee removed if I did some more basic things. And it just annoyed me that they never said a fee was coming soon. They want me to have a large amount in my checking at all times, or pay this fee. It stinks, but for now I am just biting the bullet until I can figure out what to do next. I like to go to the ATM and take out as much in cash as I can now on payday, after my direct deposit. This, just because I don't want my money in there. I just use them to write a few checks. I hate the $12.00 fee. It was just slipped in there. Guess they thought no one would notice, right?
