Walmart review: Racist insult by cashier representative ( 1 comment)

I went into electronics to purchase some items, my visit was pleasant. As I was paying I happened to hear a conversation going on right next to me by a couple who was a white female and black male and they had a child that was mixed. The cashier they were talking to was a black lady. I overheard with no option to ignore and heard her giving them advice on the upbringing of their child, stating "Make sure you teach him about his black roots, make sure he knows where he came from". The parents said "And his white roots?" and she responded "Yes of course" and then they said "And the Mexican culture as well?"... She then said "Oh no, you don't want to do that"! Then giggled. Myself and the cashier that was ringing up my items both were Mexican and both looked at her after her comment, I can tell she was as insulted as I was, but the black cashier kept a smile and avoided eye contact with us. I have never felt so assaulted by a comment from anybody before. It was racial discrimination and unprofessional. I have never made a complaint against an associate before to this extent but it has bothered me since yesterday and I truly think that something should be done so nobody has to feel the way I feel right now.
