Vons review: cherry turnovers/bakery

I purchase these all the time and they are wonderful. However, those that I purchased yesterday were extremely hard and overly flakey and had no cherries in them at all, none of which can be seen before buying as they are in a plastic box. What happened?

I don't know if they are made in the store bakery or somewhere else but whoever made these turnovers must not be able to see or thought he/she was making something else.
