My name is Marivic Anderson, and around 7:40am on 3/18/20, manager Damon approached me and accused me of going in and out of the store to purchase multiple cases of water. I had just checked out with only 1 case of water, which is the only case of water I had purchased at Vons within the last 3 days. Damon approached me and stopped my progress as I was trying to leave the store and stated that "somebody" told him that I was going back and forth from the store to buy multiple cases of water. I told him he was mistaken, but he didn't listen to me and he also would not tell me (after I asked him) who the accuser was. Another employee named Shanai, who works at the Starbucks counter, also started yelling at me for no reason, and manager Damon did not stop her. I became very distressed and could not believe what was happening. I was finally able to leave after this humiliating scene after a few minutes.
I went home to tell my husband Nicholas about it and he could not believe it. We both went to the store to talk to the store Director Daniel Ledbetter. He admitted to seeing what had happened, and did not intervene.
This is a disgraceful action by Vons employees, and action needs to be taken to correct this situation.

I feel much related to this, but ONLY TO MY 1st AMENDMENT RIGHTS Used at the frontal area of the self-serve checkout stands. Because that be (distance between) where the self-serve checkout stand I was attempting to use & the podium of where the Vons Employee to control such area controls from. I was wanting to show that I was in need, but at first that did no good, as I later found she/Vons Employee in charge of such all self-serve checkstands, was too over-occupied in chatting to a single customer as his or her self serve checkstand. As I tried to show that I needed attention, so that I would be assigned of another Vons employee to assist me, because I had this Vons Customer behind Me who had been trying to take my waiting place from me; the Vons Employee in charge of such area on persisted to her chatting to her single customer, hence not calling another Vons employee to come to assist Me.
THIS is what got the "Vons SECURITY" of another race, and a HEAVIER WEIGHT, coming against me. As he having a far different body build from mine. Making physical moves of very close physical contact several times, in which he refused to admit to. I told him "there be cameras"(on ceiling), as I finger pointed in such direction, as my doing this only kept him CONTINUOUSLY (orally and physically) moving around and HARASSING ME.
I told him this is what makes people doing internet reviews, or this is why there are those who chose to do internet reviews.
But my saying that DID NOT QUIET HIM, NOR DECREASE HIS PHYSICAL MOVES AGAINST ME.
