I was directed to seek help at a verizon corporate store (11566, Sunrise Highway Merrick, NY) because I had trouble completing my order on the phone. Upon arrival they told me they couldnt help me and gave me a phone number. I told them I needed extra help and I was still told, "Sorry." The gentlemen then walked to the back to disappear from me. I sat at the desk and called the number and that person said you must do it on the app. Again, I said, I need extra help. She asked to speak to the store employee and he said he couldnt speak with her cause he was helping someone else. We waited and then he didnt wanted to speak with her, he persisited on telling me that I needed a password and how to save passwords. he was insistent that my assowrd wasnt the problem and had me hold for another representative while he went in the back. I have been a customer for more than 25 years and I am older. I went in to get support not attitude. After 1 hour and 38 minutes my process was finished and NEVER was it a password issue. I hate to have to argue for what I am entitled to and resent the attitude of employess who dont want to assist with the elderly or the disabled. These men were not customer friendly, tired and seemingly disgusted with me. It was demonstrated on so many levels. This process was worse than buying a car. I would hope that the same service you get on the app, can be handled in the store. The hold time on the phone is utterly ridiculous and that person just kept trying to sell me new things that I did not ask for. In total I spoke with 5 representatives (in the store and on the phone while in the store). Customer respect and maximum assistance is expected without lectures, disappearances, attitudes and evasive responses. in the end, it all ways accomplished after I refused to be side stepped or disregarded as unworthy of their precious time. Some people cant use the app easily. I am still disgusted with my experience and treatement. I am due apology or compensation for my time and trouble.
Recommendation: Have someone younger to help you do business on the app because the store specialists at this location were totally unprofessional and unwilling to go the extra mile to assist.
