On December 21, I booked a cruise through Vacations To Go on the Caribbean Princess leaving Fort Lauderdale on April 18. Yesterday, December 26 I got a flyer from Princess saying that there was a sale going on. I investigated my cruise and found that the price of the cruise for which I paid $2122, was reduced by $744.
I called VTG, was escalated to management who said they contacted Princess and that my cost was nonrefundable and that there was nothing that VTG could do.
Today I called Princess and was told that because I booked the cruise through a travel agent, Princess would do nothing for me. They said to try again with VTG.
Again VTG said won’t do anything. I’ve worked with VTG for many years and I truly believe I’m being dismissed and cheated out of $744 because I booked my cruise six days before a sale was announced.
I can assure you that I have cut my ties with Vacations To Go; that’s what I believe my only recourse is because being dismissed by VTG is not acceptable.
Recommendation: Don’t use VTG, go directly to the cruise line.

Sales discount & price increase is an ongoing thing like stock price increase market. You can only be realistic. Your fault not to face reality. You wouldn’t pay more if VTG comes back to claim difference if the price actually increased a few days later (owing to strong demands), right?
