US Bank review: The difference one employee can make!

I’ve been with US Bank for almost two decades.
I live in the small town of Fallon nv.
I have one bank employee that I like to interact with because she is knowledgeable and has always been
Such a pleasure to work with. She always has smile for me and treats me like I have a million dollars in bank. Tammy is the only employee that has worked at the branch in Fallon since I signed up at US Bank.
My son is now 28 and has been banking with US bank since I got an account for him at 16.
He works nights in Reno and I work days in Fallon.
It has been near impossible for us to get to the bank together to get my name off of his account.
Unfortunately when we arrived Tammy was not working. The teller at the counter tried telling me that I would have to close my account as well as my sons
And we would have to open new ones.
(I have 3 other children I’ve recently taken my name off their accounts as they are all over 18 now). I told her she mistaken. And explained I’ve done this same thing 3 times before without having to change my account numbers.She offered to close his account but asked when my son wanted to make an appointment to open a new account. How do you close an account without opening a new one? She was very poor at her communication skills and I got the impression she could care less if we banked at US Bank or not. Long story short my son and I walked out of the bank because I was very close to blowing up.
I’ve never had an issue with this bank or an employee before today.
Regardless of my experience today Saturday the 9th of sept 2026 I will still give US Bank a 5 star rating.
I will give 5 stars because of Tammy.
I’ve dealt with other banks in the past and overall US Bank has been great to deal with.
Living in a small town everyone knows each other and people talk. I’m not the only one in town that stays with this bank because of Tammy.
I don’t normally give reviews but after dealing with an employee that absolutely infuriated me I suddenly became very appreciative of all the wonderful encounters I’ve had with an exceptional employee named Tammy.
