Zeroed out my data
I left a message here a couple of days ago to do with my wife's Tracfone data. The problem is that she rarely uses data, (internet) and some time in December 2020 her accumulated data was zeroed out. I had to purchase new data the other day to get the messaging working again.
We have always used Tracfone. The account shows that we have been with them since prior to 2013. The data has been accumulating since then, rarely being used. We're talking many gigs of data. It vanished. (I had to go purchase NEW data time.) My wife rarely does the internet with her phone. Fact. She uses her phone... as a phone. She uses her computer to surf. Still many minutes of accumulated talk time and text time. We purchase the yearly plan each year.
Not accusing TF of doing anything nefarious... only not correcting the problem. Lousy customer service ethic, in other words.

Well, I reached out to Tracfone, per Alex, and I was told, yep, we had used up all the data and that was that. Thanks and goodbye. Same story as I had read on here by many others. Tracfone had no intention of rectifying the problem. The clueless support op's only suggestion was that we had used up the data and there was nothing further TF cared to do about it.
BTW... the android phone is set to do housekeeping chores ONLY when near a WiFi...in case you were wondering if that was the problem.
So, in effect, years of rollover unused data was stolen. Again, no way I believe it was nefarious... but in the end we paid for service not rendered. That's theft. Intentional or otherwise. I had hoped that by going to customer service some accommodation could be reached. There was none.
Desired outcome: I'd like our gigs of data to be reinstated.
Alcatel A405DL
This is about the fifth or sixth time I've tried to get the problem with my replacement phone not transferring callers to my voice mail when I can't answer the phone; they get an error message saying their call cannot be completed as dialed. I've been sent to a tech specialist who couldn't solve the problem was transferred to another higher knowledgeable tech and they didn't solve the problem. My voicemail is set up and I can access it using my Alcatel A405DL phone and it's just fine; it's just when people try to leave me a message that they get the error message. I do however see who had called me in the Notice file. Two tech specialists worked the problem but still could not get calls to transfer to my voicemail.
When I'm unavailable to take a call I want people to be able leave me a voice mail; the phone mail is set up and I can access it with my TracFone.

Transfer of text minutes when purchased under wrong phone number
On 11/29/20 I purchased 1000 text minutes for one of three of my phones - the wrong phone number. I did online chat with Tracfone and was told that since the transfer went through that the text minutes could not be moved to the correct account. The online representative did not offer any solution. I requested the regulator that oversees Tracfone and was given the corporate office address instead of the regulator.
Text balance vanished
I hadn't texted in weeks, instead using Hangouts to save my text balance, when one night I randomly got a message that said that I couldn't receive a text message due to insufficient minutes. I immediately went to the Tracfone widget on my android phone to see a balance of like 200 something texts. I hit refresh, and the talk minutes and data stayed the same, but the text balance now showed 0! I am positive that I didn't send or receive 200 texts in the last few days, as my most recent text was before the balance showed 200. I think Tracfone stole those texts that I paid for!
Constantly sending unwanted ads
1-920 475-5141 get those dam tracphone adds constantly bothering me off my phone they are driving me nuts, I want my privacy. Stop it or lose my buisiness and everyone else I can to drop you as well... I hate those annoying adds till I want to smash my phone that's how angry I am with trac phone for doing this... And then charge minuts time for reading those dam bothersome adds I am boiling mad and I want it stopped now, now, now understand

Bought my phone just a couple of months ago. Several issues. The camera does not take good pictures, it gets bad reception and it cuts off in the middle of a conversation. Also, it will not stay charged very long. I chatted with someone at TracFone and all they wanted to do was reset my applications which would cause me to lose all my pictures.
Cell service & multimedia texts
I am an unlimited talk/text customer with auto refill on my account. Every month I am forced to call customer service because my account has problems. Customer service is unable to address the Multimedia text messaging so I am unable to send or receive text images, a service I am paying for. I purchased my device a Samsung Galaxy J Orbit directly from Tracfone. There is no excuse for the hours I have been forced to spend on the phone with customer service every month. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Replacement phone / customer service
In March somebody stole a phone I'd had with Tracfone for years. My cellphone went dead that I had purchased at Wal Mart on Dec 2018. It was a Total Wireless phone for a 25.00 month card, no internet. Called Total Wireless and at first they blamed carrier. Called back after waiting 24 hours as advised to do, they blame the phone making me buy a new one. These are lies. After this phone craps out, no more lies from a TracPhone company. You get the service you pay for which is cheap, but Total Wireless s cellphones sell for in the hundreds of dollars. Cheap service and expensive cellphones do not mix! Thievies.
Unauthorized transactions
TracFone charge my card several different charges. I don't even own a TracFone or TracFone Services. I want my money back. I already called the bank and reported it and they said to get in touch with TracFone. TracFone seems to do nothing about it I will upload pictures of all the charges I used Boost Wireless I don't even use TracFone.
Removed my account
I am disabled 100% and in the middle of the china virus I found out my account has been removed by their sister company safelink. I have never had safelink! I have had tracfone since 2001 and only tracfone! What I found disturbing is the message states "I have been removed from safelink" I have been removed from a company that I never had? $50 off a $125 smartphone card for tracfone
I was promised a Promo Code for the above deal, if I upgraded our Tracfones, (2 of them). I upgraded both phones, and never received a promo code for either one. False advertising.! I called Tracfone over a dozen times and kept getting transferred to a different number. The last one I talked with told me the promo code was a 'random selection', which no one ever said before. Neglectful response to consumer complaint
I am never dealing with TRACFONE ever again. Their customer service is garbage and the person in charge is even worse, denying to take ANY responsibility for some of the faulty phones they sell under their name as with those horrid TLC brands which are sub-par as hell.
Simply put, said leader of the tracfone business kept on denying they even carry that brand of phone even though its sold within their toxic green boxes in retail. She would even tell me to just return that thing where I bought it from instead of offering anything that would compensate for my experiences with her company. There is no reason to even try and be logical with the likes of this company.
Tracfone has not explained to me how to activate my cell phone.
No one has been rude to me about it but I dont know how and neither does my daughter. We re not the brightest bulbs in the box. It could be something really easy, its the know how that we need. roll over minute
Had a lg fiesta phone feb 1. 2020 had 2500talk tex2300 2.1gb fone got wet quit working. Bought a stylo 4 lg from hsn with 1500talk text and data that gave me almost 4000 talk text and data. Two weeks after i had the stylo 4 it was droping call and warrant was still on.So i call tracfone customer service and ask them how to handle it since i had those minute on the phone, she told me she would cut off service to the stylo 4, and when i got a new phone to call customer service and give them my pin number and they would roll my minute over to my new phone. Well when i got my new phone they would't transfer my minute say i didn't have service days left, but i had service days up to the year 2023. Then they told me that the only way they could activate my was to purchase a card with more min, and i did that, idid that so they gave me the the minute that came with the card, but still wouldn't roll my minute from old phone over. activating & adding air time
On 2/14/2020. I purchased a 1 year service card and 400 minutes to update my service on my wireless. I followed the directions on the card and went to add airtime and it asked for thr PIN # from the card. I typed it and checked it twice. It said it was processing and it should take 5 minutes and to leave my phone turned on... I did, but the acctivation date and amount of Minutes never change. I followed directions and checked on the service. It said it was processing or it was Unaccellible and to call back later.
on 2/17/2020, I called the phone number on the card about activating my account/ after a few levels I got a real person (Mark) who wanted to know the problem. I explained it in debt. He transferred me to a phone tree, the tree ended up with telling me that the PIN# was processing and I should call back in a few minutes. This was several phone calls with the same outcome.
I also went back to Walmart. They told me they could not help me. That I should contact Tracfone... They could not do anything.
Checked again and it is still saying it is processing?
Would like to be able to use my phone or refund the cost of the time.

Yesterday I had 2.09 gigs and 999 talk minutes I should still have a gig of data left and all my minutes I havent made a call on this phone so why all my minutes disappear. This isnt the first time I have lost minutes and data without using my phone. I have enjoyed service with you guys up until december when all the issues started so please someone fix this problem.
tracfone cell phone purchase
I bought a cell phone online through a chat with a rep named Mary. The cell phone is a DORO 7050. Mary check my zip code 57717 and said it would work. My order number is [protected].
Received the phone via Fed Express on Monday Jan 20th 2020. Open the package and proceeded to activate the phone. Called Customer Care only to find out that the phone is not capable to my area and to return it to Trac Phone. They would e-mail me a shipping label. No e-mail or a shipping label.
I contacted Customer Care three times but I could only get get service people who speak broken english that I couldn't understand what they were saying. I gave up when the last one ask me the serial number of the phone that I had package to return. I wasn't going to open the package to get the number. I did over to give her the order number. She didn't want that so we ended the call.
I have spent a total of 8 hours trying to set up and talk to people to get a shipping label to send this back. I got one guy on a chat named Clifford told me I had to pay to ship it back.WHAT? This was your Reps mistake not mine. I have use Trac Phone for 20 years This is ridiculous.
Contact Capital One who's credit card I used.Told them the situation and they said they would take care of the refund. You have 15 days to receive this phone back before Capital One will issue a permanent refund of $85.80

customer support
Does it seem feasible to speak with customer service for 7 hours to resolve issues on two phones? I've never yelled at anyone but I yelled this time. I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone on issues until the very last person. Even then, he couldn't fix the issue. I had to wait 24 to 72 hours for a number to unlock and reset. Two phones and nothing but errors. I can't give all the details here because I would have to write for an hour to explain all I endured. Hung up on and evidently blocked from being able to get some results. Wasted a whole day. And accomplished not one thing. If you are going to have good service, for heavens sakes make sure they are trained. All I heard was I'm sorry. I need to put you on hold. I asked for a manager. Only to be told you will have to start all over. That's bull and I know it. They have transcripts and the calls are recorded. If I'd been given a manager when I asked, yelling probably wouldn't have happened. I'm appalled at the service I received after being a customer for over 15 years. If I did my job in this manner, I wouldn't have a job.
