We bought a used Jeep 2020 renegade in July 2023. The gear selector has got stuck in neutral 2 times and has left us stranded in the road. We had also bought the 7 year bumper to bumper extended warranty so we called Toyota of Greenville, they advised us to bring it in.

We brough the jeep in today Sept. 6th at 10am. The service technician hopped in the driver seat, took down the mileage and vin number. He moved the fear selector and it got stuck in neutral with him as well. You cannot cut the vehicle off when in Neutral and they had to push it while running.

We get a call 4 hours later telling us its the gear selector but it MAY BE still under factory warranty and that we need to get it to Big O dodge. We advised Toyota to call Big O dodge and explain this to them. They would not. We sked if they could drive it or tow it just a few feet from their location, they would not.

My issue with Toyota is, that when we brough the vehicle to them this morning and they looked at the mileage, and the vin number and I had the conversation with him that we JUST bought this vehicle in July less than 2 months ago, he should have informed me that it was still under manufacturing warranty, and to take it right down the street. Yet he did not inform me of this, and with it being used I was not aware. They kept it 4 hours, and they tore it apart, and found the problem, THEN they tell me it needs to go to Big O dodge. And that I would have to get it there. Its a Danger TO DRIVE AND HAS ALREADY ALMOST GOT US KILLED.We told him that , he didnt care.

Toyota of Greenville is the WORST dealership in which to deal with. This should have been handled better, professional, not a cat and mouse OH I just realized AFTER they have had your vehicle 4 hours and tore it apart and diagnosed the problem, THEN call me and say Oh you need to take it to Big O dodge. That should have been expressed this morning when he jumped in my vehicle and wrote the mileage down and looked to see it was less than 3 years old and less than 36,000 miles.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology as to why we were treated so poorly. Why we were give incorrect information. Why this man was not transparent. Wouldnt tell us exactly what Toyota had done to my vehicle, only that we have to move it to Big O Dodge.
