Tim Hortons review: Cleanliness

I was at 166 Trunk road Tim hortons.

We were dining in, while I was waiting in line my friend requested a sanitary cloth to wipe our table.

I understand that customer service is challenging especially when staff are almost all young or new. I understand the pressure of prioritizing.

That being said, there was a young man changing garbages. Who seen my friend was trying to get anyone’s attention to get a cloth to wipe our table. Each staff member ignored my friend and kept on the task they were already busy with.

Eventually a lady who looked like a manager or a supervisor pointed to other tables and said there are other tables to sit at, which by the way we’re also dirty. When my friend again kindly requested a cloth to wipe the table they manager rolled her eyes and walked to the back and came out with a dry salmon cloth and ignored my friend when she tried asking for the cloth to be dampened.

So my friend tried to wet the cloth in the washroom which was locked and needed a staff member to unlock the door.

I pulled a hand sanitizer out of my purse for the cloth.

Needless to say, we just improvised cleaning our table to sit at.

If it weren’t for my friend enjoying tim Hortons so much I would just leave and not return after observing how my friend was ignored and treated.

I feel for the staff. I understand. There was no smiling faces just faces expressing the stress of busy service.
