My vehicle broke down at 07:30 on 15/09/2008. I phoned Tata who is 6 km away from where it broke down. They only arrived 8 hours later to tow it.It is still under guarantee and they charged me R450 for towing charges, contrary to the guarantee. It is now 17 days later and my vehicle is still not fixed. They did not supply me with a courtesy vehicle. I need the vehicle for business. They do not come back to me as promised.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

My tata indigo broke down on 15/09/2008 at 07:30. I phoned tata and asked for roadside assistace, as the vehicle is still under manufacturers guarantee. they arrived at16:15 (8 hours later), while the workshop is only a few kilometres from where the car broke down. they towed the car to the workshop and I explained to them that I need the vehicle fixed urgently, as this is my primary vehicle. on 17/09/2008 at 11:00 they called me and said that they checked the car and that they now see that my complaint is valid.
They informed me that my guarantee had expired because of the km's travelled. I went to see them and showed them that the guarante is valid for 100 000km and that the car had only done 80 000 odd km. they then said that they will repair the vehicle under guarantee. I again explained to them that I have no other vehicle. they charged me r450 towing fee, although the guarantee states that the vehicle will be towed free of charge! they now refuse to repay this.
Today 17 days later, my vehicle is still not repaired. they refuse to giveme a courtesy vehicle!
I should have bought a toyota!
Nawab motors has truly lived upto his name of being a "Nawab". The customer himself has to run across every dept. to get information & his work done. Buying a car is an experience where the dealer makes the Customer absolutely happy & satisfied. However, in my case, it was completely opposite. Initially, I had to callup nawab motors for arranging a test-drive. After that, I had to run to nawab motors to finalise my deal rather than nawab motors following up with me. Then finally, on the day of delivery (which was informed to nawab motors 2 weeks in advance), it took them the whole day to get the car ready for delivery. Basic bare things like, Mud flaps, mats, etc were not available with the Great NAWAB motors. I had to BEG them to get these things fixed.
Earlier, I was a die hard fan of tata motors & had planned for buying Safari this year. Unfortunately, the experience above has shaken me to such a level, that I would not buy any TATA vehicle ever & I give the same feedback to all my friends & family members. Certainly, NAWAB motors does not even know the basic Customer Service skills.
Infact, I would even request Ratan Tata / Tata Motors, to take back the dealership from the Great NAWAB Motors, noida.
I would like to inform that TATA Motors are duping their customers through their 24x7 on road assistance program. After warranty its is a paid service and I have paid Rs 550 as fee. As per the terms and conditions of their service contract they are supposed to provide 6 instances of on road assistance which also covers electrical faults. I called up TATA Motors today asking them to attend to an electrical fault with my vehicle. However, they insisted that since it was day time, I could take my vehicle to TATA Motors dealership. They wont attend the vehicle since the vehicle can move. This is totally against their own service terms and conditions. Nowhere under their 24x7 on road assistance program it is mentioned that the vehicle will be attended only if it is not able to move or the vehicle will not be attended during day time. It is neither mentioned in the exclusions of their service contract. I even spoke to their Senior Team Leader Mr Mukhtar and got the same arbitary response from him and he was not able to justify his response according to the terms and conditions mentioned in their service contract

CASE History: I owned theVehicle TATA INDICA EV2 Bearing Chasis No, *MAT600433CPC25525* from OberoiCars Pvt Ltd. on Monday 21st May 2012 . As i was busy in my office i sentmy driver to pick the car, he reached showroom 2:00pm, Showroom people handedover the CAR to my driver @ 8:30 PM . Without doing PDT (Pre DeliveryTest)
of the car it was handed over to my driver, no test time was given tomy driver, neither he was made to check the car, they just gave the carto him and closed the showroom.They Provided my Driver whose Meter Reading wasAlready arround 50 KM.
When car reached to me after a drive of 5KM i found following Problemswith it.
1) Meter Was not working ( Fuel Indicator), Meter Cover of the car wasFound Open and i immediately reported mr Varun Sales Person.
2) There Was a used and a Puncture Tyre in the Stepeny
3) The Driver Side Tyre Of the Car had a Cut Which is a ManufacturingFault, any technical Person can see and identify it.
4) Both Front and Back Bumper of the Cars are Repainted and there Paintis coming out due to poor quality of paint over them.
5) There Was Loud Disturbing Knocking Sound from te bottom of the Carmight be in stering or front suspention, asoon as we put the car toacceleration.
6) The Car was stopping as soon i leave acceleration
7) The Car was in very Dirty Condition from inside and outside ( TheSand which comes with water was all over on the Dashbord and Windows frominside and obver the Engine)
8) No diesel was put below the engine, No Greecing and oiling was doneover each SUSPENTION. All the car suspention and rubber parts were sohard that they were making sound.
When i complained about all this to the Sales man Varunand Manager Miss Madhumita, They Asked Sorry and Apologised i thoughthere is some humanity Left. they asked me to reurn the Car and they saide wewill make All Repairs Else they will Replace it.
Miss Madhumita was very helpful and Pleasing, So i sent my car to them after one Day .Through My another Driver Deepak.

I Veenu Tandon purchased Nano Lx car on 01/04/2011 the Invoice number is TechAu-R-[protected], and the car’s purchase receipt number TechAu-R-[protected].The car was driven only for 87km on 6th April 2011 at 7:00am and the car’s burned on the Road and never started again. I call mechanics from Techno Automobiles (p) ltd to repair it because of the poor quality of car. When contacting the company they failed to replace the car. After financing 2.40lakh for purchasing the car and it was done only 87km. I tried to contact the company regarding this issue but still there is no response from them. I am calling the company but still no proper response from the company. The company has to replace my car or my refund my cash.

I had purchased a car Regn No. UP -X- 7500 ( Indica Vista Quarderjet - Limited addition) on dated 31/7/2009 from the Automobile Sterling, sector - 8, Noida. After 3 months of purchasing the car its rear window ( left side) & diggi get rusted. I made 9 rounds to change the parts but nobody was able to give me proper answer. Lastly when I fed up, I written a complaint in tata motors, after that the above car dealer RE-Paint the door & diggi. Now there was a color variation between the car's original color & Re - paint color. Now my car looks like a accidental car & its AC is also not working, the above dealer is not bothered about that. I want to sell this car because I am So dis-satisfied customer but due to repaint & color variation its market value is very less, whereas it was totaly DEALER'S fault. Since last 3 days my car is lying in the work shop of the above dealer & they are not responding me properly.
Pls help me out from the situation & It was my fault that I had purchased a car of TATA Brand, world known company.

It is my request to everyone not to ever buy a car from TATA. Buy anything, but never ever buy a Tata car. They are pathetic, horrible, actually I have no words. I bought my Indica Vista from Sterling Auto, Noida in Oct 2008, since then the car has been in the service station more and with me less.
Its AC is not working, I gave it to Shah Motors Noida for repair, they claim to have repaired it twice, even changed its compressor but still the problem remains where it is. Now car has been with them since last 15 days, standing, they claim that spare parts have not come from Pune. A customer like me has no-where to go. I even called the Tata Motors Toll free number, put my complaint in writing to Tata, but nothing. I feel as a customer, I have everything to loose and as a seller, Tata has nothing to loose, they have got their money. It is me who is suffering, no car, scorching Delhi heat, two little kids, when I bought the car, has different thoughts in my mind. We very much regret to say that we are very much offended with the service that we have received from tata motors (hyderabad, andhra pradesh). the reason behind is that I have purchased a car tata indigo ls. initially I gave my card for servicing in tata motors, sanathnagar, hyderabad and got a very bad service from them. car washing done by them was the worst ever and any roadside washing center would have done 100 times better than this service center. it was a year back story. later I thought of changing the service center from sanathnagar tata motors to autofin ltd bowenpally as I don't have any other option as I had to get it serviced.
To start of, autofin ltd service center is at a awkward place in bowenpally where we do not have any transport facility once we drop our car for servicing. to start of the with the problems I faced with autofin ltd and the service advicer there.
1. service advicer gave me an estimation of servicing and repairs of rs.2600/-. when the car was ready in the evening he called me and informed me that the charges are now 3600/-.
When I asked him the reason he said he included some power steering pipe which was gone bad. here there are two things to say.
a) as per policy he should have informed me before actually changing/replacing any part which was not discussed and he dint feel like informing me as he says.
b) power steering pipe was changed exactly 4 month before by mallik motors as the oil from power steering pipe was leaking.
c) if the power steering pipe is broken then the oil should have leaked from it which was not the case either.
2. lights inside the car (roof top) and tail horn were not working as the fuse has gone wrong, so asked the service adviser to repair the fuse which hardly costs, when I came in the evening to my surprise, service adviser says that he replaced the lights inside the car instead of the fuse and he charged me for that again, here again he dint inform me before doing so.
3. as mentioned earlier autofin is located near a place where there is no auto or a bus stand available for any one to go.
I asked the service adviser if anyone can drop me to the nearest auto or bus stand and he refused saying they don't have any facility as such. but when I came back the next day to collect my car I saw a board mentioning that they drop customers who come and give their car for servicing to the nearest auto or bus stand. I don't know the reason but just for this I had to walk all the way around 1.5kms to find an auto for myself.
4. when I took back my car, to my shock again the car was not washed properly and I took a cloth by myself and cleaned my car in the service center itself as I know that they wont be able to that again.
I purchased my car 2.5 years ago and since then have the lots of problems with the service centers. tata motors mentions some core values on a wall board in all their service centers, truly there are core values for tata motors but just on boards, there is no one who can actually execute that.
I am Vijayanand from Chennai I brought a Safari-VX of reg no: TN 09 BB 9999 in the name of v. yuvaraj ten months before from V.S.T. motors, Mount Road . For the past few months I am continuously facing corrosion problem in the vehicle. Last time when we given the vehicle for service we escalated the issue with service station and some tinkering work was done by the service station to remove it, now again and again the patches of corrosion was seen all over the places of my car. We already purchased 2 more vehicles of same model, there is no such issue with that two vehicles. We are afraid that entire shell will be corroded. So we requested the V.S.T. Motors and TATA Motors to replace our vehicle with a new shell. But they are not doing that. I am very much surprised that for a new vehicle itself they are not providing the warranty properly, if the vehicle crossing the warranty what will they do? We need this peoblem to be solved as soon as possible because our business was severely affected with out the vehicle. We need a permanent solution for this problem. Other wise we will take the legal actions against your company. A person from TATA Motors had spoken to me regarding this, but he refused to change the new one. I agree with you for some dealers (u can not generalise this for TATA). I bought Safari Dicor VX2.2 more or less same time as you did. From Vivek Motors on Mathura Road near Appolo Hospital on 8- 9th January this year to be precise.
Your comments fits extremely well on them. I am regretting chossing a bad dealer who does not care once paid even if u make 50 calls for small genuine problems. .. Its a long storey for a NRI/OCI.

defective tata indica xeta
I had purchased an indica xeta cng reg. no. dl 8cm 3308 on the occasion of diwali last year 2006 from their dealer pawa motors. ever since I purchased this car, I am going through mental as well as physical torture and harassment. this car started giving troubles from the day of its delivery. till date it has gone for repairs on several occasions and various parts have been replaced without any success.
I am tired of sending numerous complaints to tata motors and to their dealer pawa motors. every time they ask me to bring the car to their workshop and then they keep it under repairs for several days. thereafter they give delivery of unsuccessfully repaired car with false assurance that the car has been successfully repaired.
I am sorry to state that till date all faults remain as they were. this car stops suddenly on a busy running road. as a result of which, I have already met with accidents and by the grace of god just survived my life and the lives of my family members.
Almost every month this car is needed to be sent for repairs to their workshop. till date they are just doing experiments, researches and trials without any success. even at present my car is lying at their workshop under repairs. its not only me who is facing manufacturing defects in this car. whenever I visit their workshop, I could see many other xeta customers who are also going through nightmares after purchasing this car. I am in touch with many of such harassed customers and we are planning to open a forum in order to collectively take this matter to the higher authorities.
I would like to warn others never to purchase a tata car. I have already lost my hard earned money and I do not want others to go through the same harassment which I am going since the day I purchased this car.
Also note that tata people are shameless and are not at all concerned about their customer’s grievances.
As of now, I am not able to use this car. even after repairing and replacing several parts on numerous occasions, tata motor is not able to successfully repair this car. this compels me in demanding the refund of my money.
I m facing the same problem with my tata indica xeta which bought in April 2008.I dnt think they have such engineers who can even tell the defect, repairing is out of question.

this is a friendly gesture to all Tata owners, i bought an Brand new Tata Bolt 2016 model a perfect car but with the worst after sales services and incompetent service staff ever found in Africa . A few days ago i recieved an sms telling me that my 45000 km maintenance plan has reach its end and i have the option to extend this . GOOD DAY TATA SA, I BOUGHT A 2015 TATA INDICA 1.4 IN AUGUST 2015. TWO MONTHS AGO IN APRIL MY DRIVER DOOR STARTED TO SLIGHTLY DROP DOWN WHEN OPENING IT AND TO CLOSE IT YOU WOULD HAVE TO PULL IT UP. BECAUSE THE CAR WAS DUE FOR ITS 90 000KM SERVICES IN MAY I WAITED TO TAKE IT IN AND ASK THEM WHATS CAUSING THE DOOR TO DROP DOWN OF WHICH IT WAS ADVISED THAT ITS A COMMON TATA PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES TO THIS TYPES OF MODEL CARS AND WAS THEN ADVISED THAT IF I TAKE THE CAR TO A PENAL BEATER IT SHOULD BE SORTED AS THEY CAN'T ASSIST. IT WAS SHOCKING TO BE ADVISED THAT WITH A COMMON TATA PROBLEM I WAS REFERRED TO A PENAL BEATER AS TATA CANNOT FIX THE DOOR. IN OTHER WORDS I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET FOR A FACTORY DEFAULT / MANUFACTURE DEFAULT. ON MONDAY 12JUN I CALLED TO FOLLOW UP ON THE QUOTE AND DATE FOR THE CAR TO BE BOOKED IN I WAS TOLD THEY NEED TO CHECK WITH THE LADY FROM WARRANTIES AND WILL CALL ME BACK LATER THAT DAY. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL UNTIL MY NEXT FOLLOW UP AGAIN ON 15JUN AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE LADY WHOM HANDLES WARRANTIES ONLY CAME IN TO THE OFFICE ON MONDAY AND CANT GIVE ME FEEDBACK AT THE MOMENT THEY WILL HAVE TO CALL ME ONCE SPOKEN TO HER. MY MAIN CONCERN WITH THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS THAT I FEEL THAT AS A TATA CUSTOMER I HAVE BEEN IGNORED AND THE FACT THAT TATA IS AWARE OF THE DOOR HINGE SO CALLED COMMON PROBLEM WITH THEIR TATA INDICA'S AND NOT ACTING ON THE CLAIMS AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE WHEN ONE COMES TO THEM OR LIKE ANY OTHER BRANDS IF THERE IS A PROBLEM OF THE SAME KIND WITH A PARTICULAR BRAND THEY NEED TO NOTIFY CUSTOMERS CALL IN THE CARS AND FIX THE PROBLEM. SO IN THE MEANTIME I AM DRIVING A CAR WITH A DRIVERS DOOR THAT IS NOT WORKING FOR OVER FOUR WEEKS FRUSTRATED AND ANNOYING TO HAVING TO KEEPING JUMPING OVER FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE TO BE ON THE DRIVERS SEAT. I AM WAITING TO SEE IF I DO GET A CALL ON MONDAY 19JUN FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT'S IF I DONT HAVE TO FOLLOW UP AGAIN TO BE TOLD WE WILL CALL YOU BACK LATER TODAY. Hi I have an tata xenon single cab my master slave cylinder has gone and I took it to tata Port Elizabeth to claim under the warranty. Had no problems there but after a week without feedback I contacted them. The said to me that the part is on order it will be there on the 5th. Weeks went by without feedback. I again phoned them and they said the part will arrive on the 15 now, that is an month and a half after I took the vehicle in. Today the 16th I phoned again only to be told they ordered the wrong part. I have no curtsy vehicle. I have been paying insurance and premium for an vehicle I dont have. middag ek het n Tata super ace bakkie gekoop sins Desember 2016 is ek sonder n voertuig ek het die bakkie +- 3 maande toe het die engen gebreek die maatskappy het n nuwe engen in gesit ons het die bakkie gaan haal en het net 60 kilos gery toe breek die ratkas en is tans weer sonder n voertuig dit is n nuwe bakkie het skaars 3000 kilos op die klok
so kan iemand my asb skakel om te se wat staan my te doen of waarheen moet ek gaan

I was shown a Tata Xenon double cab and said that I will take it.
When I arrived at Tata Highlands North with my pre approved finance, I was told that the vehicle was sold to a cash buyer and was offered another vehicle, with which I had problems from day one.
After many calls and emails up to today I am still battling to get the vehicle sorted. The so called customer call centre at the head office do not even respond to emails. Adriaan Strydom
Dear tata sa, I have two serious concerns, i bought a tata manza in 2013, the manza spend most of the time in the garage, it went for all the services as per guarantee, about 13000km i noticed a rumbling sound at first start in the morning, i then took it to the service center at Trchardt, the workshop informed me that it is the hydraulic lifters and will have to be replaced, unfortunately the car was out of guarantee and they cant help me, my second problem started when i bought a Zenon Evolve, the salesman advised me that the sd card to use the navigation system will be sent to me by tata.After driving to Witbank to speak to Eastvaal motors and lots of phone calls and e mails no joy.
I think tata sa is not interested in the customer at all, all they wants to do is to sell cars.

I have a tata superace which is been repaired under warranty for the past 6 weeks, this is a business vehicle . This vehicle is more in the repairs than with me. I have now had enough of tata and am going to speak to a lawyer there service is thee worst ever as well as there product ( tata). My business has fallen due to my service delivery to my customers. I really think banks should stop financing such problematic vehicles. I will never advice tata to anybody even to my worst enemy. Tata is very poorly manufactured and should not be on the road. We as tata customers are not looked after at all. I want tata to give me a bakkie to carry on with my business, but they refuse any other brand such as kia or hyundia would have given me a loan vehicle because warranty problems are the companies not the owners.We buy brand new vehicles so that this would not happen but it is.
I bought a Tata Xenon XT 2.2 Dicor Double cab in April 2014 not long I had to take it back as I had a problem with the radiator was leaking water and a leak on the brakes system and when I go over a little bump on the toad it keep on reset on the locking system and the radio was not working as it was mend to. I took it to the Boksburg repair centre where they had to replace the radiator and a brake pipe that was a factory fault. I got my vehicle back as they told me everything was fine. I still had a problem with the radio and the electrical system as it still reset when I went over a bump on the road and the temp went high. I took it back in September when they replace the radio and repair the electrical problem as they said. The radio was fine and it did not reset when I went over a bump in the road like before but the cover of the fuse box in the engine was missing. I phone them to ask about the fuse box cover they could not find it. In January I took the vehicle for the 15000km serves and complain about the fuse box cover and the temp that still go high. When I got the vehicle back they told me they are not going to sigh of the job card as they order a new fuse box cover and the temp of the vehicle is fine and they will call me when they get the fuse box cover. I phone and went back to find out about the cover. I still not got the cover and I must fill up with water every day after a short drive as the radiator water is still leaking and the temp dose still go high and I am still very unhappy.

I have a 2012 Tata 2, 2 Xenon, company bakkie, from the day we bought the vehicle it has given us nothing but trouble, first day the vehicle could only go straight or turn left! that should have been a warning to us, sent the vehicle back! when we got the vehicle back from Tata Pine Town the vehicle was leaning to the left, sent it back to Tata! when we got the vehicle back the turbo would cut out every now and then, Tata PineTown said it was water in the diesel! they removed the tank and drained the "water"(they did not tighten the inspection cover on top of the diesel tank properly and the tank leaked ) it still did not help, they later found out that it was the relay switch on the aircleaner that was the problem, I have a list of problems to many to mention. Tata after market service is lacking in many ways. I will never buy another Tata product again.(not a happy camper)
