sundaes
I visited the location on Martin Luther king jr. N Adress here in St. Pete at 5pm today.
I ordered 2 sundaes in the drive thru. They proceed to tell me they have no ice cream, that it's different from shakes. So your store cant make a sundae from regular scoop ice cream? No wonder this store is rated poorly.
No wonder this store has a poor rating. The drive-thru is ridiculous anyway. They should have people pull forward instead of holding everyone else up!
Never again & it's not even 1/2 mile from our house.

Terrible service, sat for an hour before drinks were ordered and when she arrived she stated "to hurry up she had a ton of [censored] to do" as if we hadn't been there for an hour...never brought us shakes or our ticket, we tried to pay up front and were told we couldn't without a check? Which was another 30 min to find her. The store had maybe 3 other tables occupied with 4 sets of people waiting to be seated. No one apologized. Not expecting fantastic service but also not expecting to walk by and hear my waitress complaining about the table behind us (who had been there an hour and a half with no drinks) that "they were complaining they were F***ing here before others and [censored] like shut up" not a very professional face they're putting with your name.

I was just at the batesville Indiana location. We ordered our food it was brought to the table. When I placed my order I specifically asked for no ketchup as I am allergic to ketchup. Before I took a bite I looked to make sure it had no ketchup. Unfortunately it did. My husband brought it to her attention. She came to the table and said you didnt want ketchup I replied no.
My complaint with the whole situation is when placing the order I asked for no ketchup she in turn repeated what I said back. Then after it was brought to her attention she asked if I wanted them to remake it. To me she should have said I will have it remade NOT do i want them to remake it. I paid for a drink I didnt drink and a shake I have no desire to drink.

Every time my boyfriend and I go to steak & Shake drive thru or dine in for some reason we always end up waiting more than 35 minutes just to get our food. It's been two times that my order has been taking wrong. When I tried to submit a complaint in its website it wouldn't let me submit since it was a bad review. I live in Pineville NC . It's not been only one, two or third time. Only reason we keep going there it's cause my nephew love it's milkshakes but TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My wife and I along with our kids went into Steak N Shake for a meal. When we arrived we were greeted and placed behind the manager that was interviewing a potential employee. We moved ourselves one seat up not to be in there conversation. We waited 10 mins. No one came over to take our order nor give us drinks. I notice 4 people standing around doing...

Yes, me and my husband lIves 30 minutes out of the way where a steak and shake is. The restaurant is located in Tifton GA 31794. Anyway my husband ordered me food when we was getting off of work I asked him to get me a CAJUN BURGER! With lettuce and tomato, they repeated his order and when he got home and gave it to me it's was the wrong food! It was a regular burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, mayo, and ketchup. I didn't order that even though the order was said twice!
milkshakes
The milkshakes at the 3800 College Rd Ocala Florida Location are horrible. They are icy and lacked any flavor. There was nothing creamy and smooth about them. This item has been a key selling point of Steak and Shake. The food has always been tasty and enjoyable. Service today was wonderful, however one never knows what type of service one will receive each time one eats there.

I'm extremely disheartened that you took Speculoos Cookie Butter off the menu. WHEN are you going to BRING Speculoos Cookie Butter back? I would be inclined as well as other people I know to be a regular customer again. Before it was taken off the menu I would go out of my way to be a patron at one of your franchises...but since it was taken off I no longer do that. I wonder how many other patrons feel the same way!

We stopped at the edwardsville location last night after a concert. Submitted a to go order st 12:01 am ( the register acted up which the employee commented- always happens )
Ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and orange freeze, mushroom Swiss, fries and onion rings and a strawberry banana shake. Received the shakes about 10 minutes later but waited until 12:46 for the order. Sat at the counter while waiting. Now we have two soggy shakes and when we checked the order the burger was incorrect too. Too frustrated to call at almost 1:00 am. Add the fact the orange freeze was something vanilla- not sure. Had to pitch that one along with the fries that were cold and hard, the other shake that was disgusting. Not many cars on the lot or customers inside. Bad service to say the least !

My friend and I purchased two burgers at the drive threw Boardman Oh, store # 489. The hamburger meat had a bad taste to it. I thought that I was imagining it when my friend said to me this doesn't taste wright. Later we got stomach cramps. We go there a lot this never happened before.You must have purchased some contaminated beef. We visit your store in belton mo. On may 7.2019 at 6:00 pm. When we got there there was one other couple. And us. We sit there for. 5 min. The guy came over and ask us about drinks. Not face to face but to our backs. We ordered 1 double cheese burger with fries abd bake beans and chil mac. Will 15 or 20 min went by our food came out. The chili mac looked bad look like a kid dished it up. It looked like nothing luke the pic. Little spaghetti. Big pieces of oinion. Little chili. The the hamburger had 2 small piece of pickle. A great big piece on onion. Like some one just take a place off. Little fries. Order baked beans. Will they had none.4 customer and they could not get stuff right. The helped was just standing around. Was was not happy and your manager could nit come out to talk to us. We will never come there again. If you want to know more here is my name abd number. The worst service I've ever experienced. It took 10 mins to be seated because at least 12 tables were filthy. After telling the waitress we need a minute to look at the menu, she left for 30 minutes. When she returned she wasnt even sure if she asked for our drinks and seemed disoriented. After she got our drinks and our order, it took her another 30 minutes for her to make our shakes and she gave them to the wrong table. When she came over to tell us she still hadn't made our shakes we told her we wanted to leave. I over heard her talking to the manager about our situation and she said, " Yeah, I told them to not START making their food because they want their bill for their drinks." Finally, she took 15 min to bring out complementary shakes that we no longer wanted and then told us we can go. I was so upset with the service I couldn't even accept the shakes. This is not the first time that this location has performed poorly and taking discounts off my meals is not enough compensation for all the time I lost waiting for service. I love your food but until I hear of change at this location I will never eat at a steak and shake again. I would greatly appreciate a formal apology and confirmation of change. Your location in Grandville MI on kenowa has really gone down hill over the last few years here. As someone who lives across the street I go often. It takes forever regardless of if there is a line or not. My order is often wrong or semi warm. For instance I waited over 15 min on a Sunday night ( not exactly peak times) to have my shake ( that was made wrong) to be replaced after waiting over 30 min ( again a very common occurrence at this location) in your drive thru in my last visit alone. The uniforms are usually dingy it dirty. I love Steak and Shake and have continued to come because I like the food and milkshakes. As someone has been a restaurant manager for many years I thought you should know. Hope this helps and good luck in the future.

My local steak n shake (54th Street) is supposed to be 24hr, yet on a REGULAR occasion they tell me they can't help me and that they're closed in spite of the fact that the website says they're supposed to be open. So, we drove all the way to 96th street. Only to be met by an employee with his girlfriend in the parking lot. He walked inside to tell us that they were closed, even though the website boasted 24hours. I know that the corporate office makes enough money to not care about customer service, but it's situations like this that land me at Denny's instead. Maybe the company should care more about customer care instead of money, but what do I know.
was charged full price for incomplete meal
I sent my grand father to pick up 2 4 for 4. He was told that they were out of chili. He was not offered a substitute. He was charged full price roughly 8.41 but was not given a receipt. When he returned home we were also missing both cookies from each meal. When calling the manager Tashonda approximately 20 min later she stated she knew nothing about them being out of chili but if so he was just charged the regular price for the fry a sandwiches which come out to the same amount that's why the cookies were not there. I stated that made no sense he should have been offered an alternative side especially after waiting in line for 15 min. She sigh very hard and stated what you want me to do. Then said I will give u a credit for two chili's and two cookies. Then she took my name and disconnected. I feel as a manager she should have offered a suggestion before asking me what I want her to do. She could offered to refund me for the entire meal or to replace the entire meal. I think she handled by he situation very unprofessionally. I am very disappointed in the service and my children were unhappy with their dinner. We were also not given a receipt for this purchase. While on the phone he phone with the manager I could here the drive thru attendant asking another customer if they wanted a receipt it not. It is good business practice to provide a receipt with out asking.

Horrible for the environment and a big turn off from a sanitary standpoint. Please make sure to fix this, I witnessed employees just adding to the pile of trash which is gross. The wind was then picking up the trash they were tossing outside and blowing it everywhere.
horrible experience and over charged
I just went to the steak and shake no 379 and went through the drive through it took 5 minutes for someone to come an at my order then 10 minutes for someone to come to the window for me to pay. Then the guys tells me he made our shakes and will bring out our shakes and food to the car and to pull up. We waited another 15 minutes and went into the store and asked where our order was and were told we had to wait. We asked for a refund and finally we were given our order. The shakes were melted and our food was cold. They would not refund our money. Here is a copy of my receipt. Horrible customer service and I want my refund.

I had visited the steak and shake off rocky river drive in Cleveland Ohio on Friday 5-3 at 2:14 a.m. the time that I received my food and got out the drive through was 320 a.m FIRST, WHAT FAST FOOD HAS A HOUR WAIT AT THE DRIVE THROUGH? WOULD YOU WAIT A HOUR? RIDICULOUS! The business your company lost was crazy, from me sitting there I seen over 10 cars leave out of line... THE ONLY reason I stayed is because I was picking up 2 door dash orders... after receiving the food a hour later they still didn't have the order right... UNBELIEVABLE.. I had 2 angry customers I had to deal with because of the lack of customer service and workers that work for your company... this location may need a secret visit and you will see for yourself.. ANY explanation on what happened tonight would be greatly appreciated... p.s. the milkshake machine just happened to not be working by the way ! Thank you for your time
the whole meal
I wanted a good burger for lunch and I remembered the last one I had at the Niles Steak n Shake so I decided to go to the one here in Boardman, Ohio store 489. I sat down to eat completely disgusted it was such a waste of time and money. Will not do it again. I sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes to wait for this garbage and I could have and should gone to Wendys just because of instinct but figured I would give another business a chance
