Shoprite Checkers

On the 7th of October 2024 I was robbed(pickpocket) of my cellphone. The robber is a known repeated offender at the shop and they still allow him to enter the shop and commit robberies. How do they allow that amazes and its clear they don't value their customers. I have a files a police report due to this unprofessionalism from Shoprite. The ShopRite at your Stroudsburg Pa location needs to value and be more considerate of their customer’s time. Today, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, and several days during the last couple of weeks, I have spent 20 minutes or more waiting for someone to service me at one of their specialty areas. I understand that workers sometime call out sick, and staff shortages, However, it’s unacceptable for key areas such as the Bakery, Seafood, and the Deli area not to be staffed/manned. All these areas require staff assistance.

I’m sending this formal complaint on behalf of all the customers and myself that have wasted valuable time waiting for customer service to send a worker over to these areas because no one was official assigned to the area on some days.

I bought a wors with the name of "mnandi sizzler" at shoprite sunnypark shopping center on the 14th of November 2024, when i cook that wors there's a bad smell , when i check expiring date on that wors the wors was expired. I took the left wors n the one i cooked I went to the store and ask for a manager they showed me a lady by the name of safarai, i told her my story she said i want refund or exchange and i said i want exchange , the other employee took that wors that I'm complaining about he smelled it and say yes its rotten and it's expired i bought it expired compared to my slip, he came with the other one for exchange and that lady safarai told that guy that " he can't give me a R32.76c while i bought the one for R27.26c because it gonna cost her a lot it must be the exactly same price"
As a customer what she said in front of me doesn't sit well with me because they're selling expired food and at the end of the day she told me that statement, I'm staying far i prefer to buy my groceries at shoprite , i came from far ,she's not ready to work with customers her service is very poor instead she was supposed to apologize from me because the wors was expired and the wors was in the fridge for customers to buy. They're selling expired food. Thats bad.

Charged 2/$5 for burpless cucumbers/ was 2 zucchini @ $1.67/lb. Misweighed orange pepper 1.16lb @4.99/lb.It was a .73lb orange pepper-sale for $2.99lb returned to store for $8 refund-cashier errors. asked if I get the pepper free as per store policy, I was overcharged & the register price wrong 4.99/lb-sale price of $2.99/lb was told no. Also carton of milk expire date 9/16, picked up a 2nd dated 9/12 today is 9/21 yeah

I have been a Shoprite customer for a very long time. I have been doing my grocery, paying my bills etc. I was very disapointed by one of the cashier by the name of Caroline Mashalane at Phumulani mall Shoprite. everytime I come in the store to withdraw the money, she keeps on throwing some funny remarks and she will make it a point that I must feel that she is in the store on that particular day and she always refuse to assist me. the last time I went to the store on the 21 july 2024 to withdraw the money. she told me that she did not have money at her till and all the shoprite cashiers at phumulani mall doesn't have money and even the shoprite office (controllers) are not going to help me anyhow. I could not understand if this is how she treat other shoprite customers or this kind of treatment is only happening to me. she is so arrogant towards me. the other cashier overhead our conversation and she decided to come and assist.

I went to withdraw cash from my app don't know what the cashier did next best think my account was locked saying pin entered wrong but I entered right pin got the details to withdraw but he insisted it was wrong now I'm unemployed no money for id what can I do my cell number [protected] so I didn't get my money 27th January and I got no money to make a identity document as it was not my fault but your cashier

I bought it at Checkers Plumstead, just to find out its expired.

While at store in springs Mall on the 07/04/2024 at the bakery, the staff that are working with the food does not have any head caps or disposable gloves.

This is highly un-acceptable, when working with food, there should be gear.

We have complained to the manager on duty, and she did not take the matter seriously (Cindy).

When I called thabang on the 08/04/2024 he had said that it is not necessary to have a head cap and disposable gloves.

This is highly disgusting, for clients to see the staff working I this manner,

The cashiers are also ignorant and chat to the people packing, they do not listen when you ask them foe something, I believe that the cashiers should focus on the clients.

When the store is busy, there are few cashiers.

Please I request that there should be better management.

Am not happy with shoprite in baragwanath kokwana road diepkloof... Last week I brought a hair product when I get home I found that the best before date for the item was removed... Today I brought 2 cadbury ps, the taste of the chocolate was not good its like I was at the shelf for the long. That ps you wont eat it, can they pls sell quality products

On friday afternoon I went to shoprite tshwane mall. When I got to the till I greeted the lady, she kept quite and she rolled eyes on me while she's busy holding her ears while assisting me after she holds my food with those same filthy hands.. Throughout the whole transaction she gave me a stinking attitude her name is kedibone

I reported her to the trainee manager, while I was busy speaking to her manager she kept on backchatting me..

Is it how you guys train your cashiers to treat customers?.. Im never coming to shoprite again

I would like to complain about the service I received at Checkers, festival mall branch. On the 16th of February 2024 I visited set branch requesting assistance to collect money that was sent via wiCode. I went to the money market and I was turned away and sent to the tills. Apon my arrival, I was told there was no money and I waited. That is when one lady as me to move away, to make way for other customers. When I asked if I would be assisted she continued to say there was no money and I would wait. I then decided to leave as I was anxious the shop I needed to visit was closing soon. Without any altercation I left. I then return to Checker on the 17th of February 2024, with the hope I would be assisted and instead the same thing happened, the money market turns me away and I get to the till. I meet the same lady and I ask for assistance. Instead of helping me she drags me for leaving and insinuated that I was rude for leaving and refused that I talk even when I try to explain that I couldn't wait.

Please try and treat your customers better, leave emotion and pride out of your interactions. Instil the values of client centricty.

I was belittled for wanting service.

I work in JHB CBD and will normally shop by the mini Shoprite in town, lately

the store never has cashiers and when I request to speak to the manager they are on the tills as cashiers, this is un called for and its making it difficult to go shop there because of the long queues and no-one to service us.

I'm not sure who needs to hear this or who will attend to it but this is terrible customer service and a huge inconvenience and really tiring please hire more cashiers or make sure there are sufficient cashiers to make our shopping experience easier.

I am an extremely disappointed client.

I am a very irritate customer of Shoprite Yeoville Johannesburg. Every year their service is more than poor. There are 14 tills but only 4 tills are working, why do you bother having 14 tills. today I stood on the queue for more than 2 hours. That is pathetic, there are lots of unemployed youth that can be given jobs by Shoprite since they have many tills, come on its time you change and treat us like people that were, treat us with respect, by providing excellent speedy customers service, or is it because we are black. The manger was there doing nothing, the quoue was starting at the back. It did not only happen today, it happens all the time. Please do something. The other thing, there is a leakage when customers stand to pay, the water is dripping so hard, please fix it, what will you do if a child or anybody slip and hurt themselves. You are not a spaza shop, you are a big company, I will send these complains until something changes at Shoprite. Thank you.

Please teach your cashier customer service’s at Shoprite Delmas, Sarel Cilliers Street, Mpumalanga . Cashiers name is Gabsile Mamba .. I purchased some little items that included a vegetable combo it included Spinach so the spinach didn’t have a bar code and it was no longer fresh wich I ddnt have a problem with but she said to me how am I supposed to scanned the spinach without a barcode which I didn’t know oh notice so we both stand until I asked her what’s the way foward she continue to say it doesn’t have a barcode I must go look for it where I took it … my husband looked for it and find it then after that she gave me a plastic to pack my groceries… my solution is please have the codes for loose items in the cashiers till atleast to avoid all this drama and try to have more staff so they help customers to pack their groceries

We are having a problem with the manager at Yeoville shoprite his name is Sipho we are the workers at Yeoville clinic ,we buy breakfast and lunch at the stores but he want us to join the que and our time is only 15minutes for tea and 30 minutes lunch so we ask for the changes that he makes at the store we are not happy with him,since is goanna be a black Friday how i we gonna support our shop if he treating us as if we are not a human beings can you please assist us as your customers i thank you
