I contacted Sears Home Services to repair a Whirlpool double oven. I had to pay a $129.00 diagnostic fee. The technician professed a long experience bu he never used any tester or voltage meter, did not run a diagnostic program but declared the control panel had to be changed. A week later, another technician replaced the control panel at a cost of $734.00 to me, paid immediately. The very same evening, the microwave oven failed. None of the documents Sears gave me shows a phone number. I finally found it online. After spending 2 hours on hold and transfers to 5 different people (Including AI), I got a scheduled technician appointment. When I received the appointment via email, I noticed they would charge me a $129.00 diagnostic fee to check on their OWN Mistake.. The invoice for the repair clearly states it is guaranteed for 30 days and we are within 30 days of the repair. It is the worse service company I ever dealt with.
Claimed loss: $734.00
Desired outcome: Just the repair promised and paid for.
