I used the FREE TAX service to do my taxes in 2025. The process was as I thought for the moment flawless. Fast forward three weeks. I checked on the status of my return with the IRS. It was stated it was just refunded. So I checked with the original website that I did the taxes with and it led me to the SBTPG website. After manuevering through the various pages I finally came up with my information. The page stated they received my refund of $69 and all of it was applied to their fees, and I would receive 0$
Claimed loss: My whole federal refund minus the $14.99 state filing fee
