Sprintax charged me for processing my state tax return and never delivered. I asked for a refund, and they didn't reply. I'm now worried if the site is even legit, and if my info is safe in their system.

Sprintax NR is a frad tax prep company. They accept payments from individuals on false promises and never process the tax return. When you ask for refund, they refuse and finally when they agree, they will tell you that they have processed the refund, but one month out, the refund is never credited back. I had to raise a dispute with my credit card company in order to get my refund. Please avoid this fraud company. They should be banned from doing business in ***.

My au pair used this service for tax preparation and what a predetory worthles service. Because of their monopoly in the *** market she must have heard about it from other au pairs. Sprintax took her money before doing the tax forms and before telling her that she would not be able to e-file because she didnt have a W-2. Then took several days to complete the state taxes and we still had to correct those for her too. What an utter joke, predetory, waste of money stealing from au pairs who do not make enough in wages to necessitate paying a service for tax filing assistance. Shut this place down.

Finally found a place to write about my experience with Sprintax.com. No feedback option on their site, so here goes. I needed to do my 1040NR as a non-resident J1 scholar in the US. The software is awful, with a bad interface and shallow questions that don't help with tax prep. The worst part? Can't save entries after an hour of filling everything out. Overall, a terrible experience. Can't believe they're still in business and bragging about their ComplaintsBoard.com rating when their software is bad and the rating is low. Seriously, what were they thinking?

I tried Sprintax for my federal and state tax return and it was a really bad experience. I finished entering my information and sent it to Sprintax to do my state tax return. They told me they needed my income statement (w-2) to continue. I contacted 4 different customer service reps in 2 weeks and gave them my w-2. But it seems like NONE of them helped me add the document to my profile. Every time I talked to a new customer service person after waiting for hours on the online chat page, they just kept saying "we need your income document to do your return." I sent my w-2 to all the customer service reps during these weeks and nobody has prepared my state return yet.

I used Sprintax to file my state tax for the tax year 2020 and I've been getting tax income notice mails in my mailbox showing a penalty of $750. It took me the whole week to figure it out and after a stressful time, I realized Sprintax didn't check the *** box in my 540-NR form! I'm so disappointed about their service and the way they didn't update the system for the recent changes and tax requirements in the year 2020. This is a shame to spend $$ for a service to help file the state tax form and later deal with penalties, interests, notices, and almost face a collection step! The same problem happened to all my friends here at UCSC who used Sprintax to file their state tax form and I'm not gonna recommend Sprintax to anyone to save their time and money. I also had a hard time finding a way to talk to the customer support from their website and an online chat TALKING TO A BOT! was the only way to contact, no phone line or email address.

Refund to be ishued with damages cost due to miss information and in appropriate resolution.

In case I filed on ComplaintsBoard.com, they promised a full refund but 2 weeks past I still didn't receive anything.

I sent a complaint to the ComplaintsBoard.com last month. The company responded and said they would give me a full refund for their not-so-great service. It's been over two weeks since we settled things, but I still haven't gotten my money back.

I'm using Sprintax to do my state tax return. But I couldn't finish it 'cause the website had a problem. I tried to fix it so many times for over a month. The deadline for tax returns already passed, and my problem still ain't fixed! I need some help.

I paid the required fee and the website assured me that my state tax return forms would be ready within 2-3 business days. However, there was no mention of any potential delays. I am frustrated because I paid the fee with the expectation of being able to file my state tax returns immediately, but they are not ready yet. I even requested to cancel my state tax returns and get a refund, but they refused to give me my money back. I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this matter.

I got scammed by this company called Sprintax NR. They didn't give me the service I paid for like they said they would. Then they lied and told me they refunded the money to my credit card on April 1. I've been going back and forth with a customer representative named Alexander about getting my refund, but now he's not answering me anymore. I've complained to *** and I'm even considering taking them to court. I've attached the proof of the merchant's response. I just want my money back and some compensation for all the stress and lies they put me through.

I did my tax amendments with Sprintax on April 6th this year. The federal tax amendment is fine, but they said I had to wait for the "tax expert" (who never shows up) to give me the state tax amendment document. I reached out to sprintax after one week because I didn't receive it, but they only got back to me after one week and asked for my email. It took them a few weeks to realize that they entered the wrong email in their system (which is ridiculous). Then they told me to wait for the "tax expert" to send me the correct document. But then they just disappeared. I sent them several emails asking about it, but they just ignored them. This really annoys me because they don't even seem to be trying to fix it.

So, back in February, I used Sprintax's software to do my State Taxes. I paid the money for my state tax return, but they didn't say anything about it taking longer to prepare. It's been like 2 months now and I still haven't gotten my state tax return forms. I'm really mad because it's taking so long, so I reached out to them and they keep saying it's still being processed. I've been using Sprintax for a few years now. On their website, they promise that once you send in all your papers, you'll get your tax refund in no more than 5 business days. But in the past, that hasn't always been true. This year, I sent in all my documents on June 9th, and on June 12th, I contacted their customer service to give them another copy of the papers I sent. I originally asked for 2 state tax refunds, but so far, I've only received one of them, and it's been more than 14 business days. Their customer service is saying they got my documents on the 23rd, which is wrong, and they're not taking my concerns seriously. I've tried asking to talk to a manager or someone else, but they've refused all my requests.

I signed up with Sprintax to file my 2020 Tax Amend on April 30 and paid the full fee of $120. However, instead of receiving the correct form for the state tax refund, I received the wrong form, specifically the 1*** form instead of the *** form. When I tried to address this issue, they simply told me that my "Tax returns are filled out based on the information I have provided." Even though I clearly pointed out that there was no error in the information I provided, they finally agreed to provide the correct form after a week.

But even on the correct form, they once again incorrectly stated that I am not eligible for any refund, contradicting their own auto-calculated forms that clearly mentioned the refund amount I was eligible for. After following up for another week, they sent me updated forms with the amount changed on only one sheet, completely ignoring the need to update the other sheets. I had to follow up again to request a refund, but my request was denied. As of June 6, I still haven't received the correct forms. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and utterly pointless.

I'm using *** for my tax return. They said they will be finished my *** tax preparation in 5 business days. I still don't see my tax form after 5 business days, I contacted the customer service and they said they don't have the permit to do my tax, I think it's illegal that someone prepares my tax without a permit.

Hi, it's been 5 business day and I still not see my *** tax form. For which *** are you applying? California. Please, be advised that there might be a delay in the *** returns preparation as we are still waiting on legal permits for all schedules for the *** forms. Once we receive everything needed we will get back to you by e-mail with further information.

What is legal permits? Who should give you that? You don't have legal permits then why you charge me? I don't want to wait, I want refund. The legal permits are being given by the State, in other words. The are currently working on preparing the forms required for 2019`s applications. Once we receive them we will be able to start with the *** tax applications immediately. Usually it takes 5 business days, however we are still waiting on the *** tax office`s update. I believe that we will be able to start with the applications before the deadline.

You charged me and you don't tell me in advanced, that is lying to your customer, I want refund. Please, be advised that the payment page is the last step of the software, however it is needed to be passed in order for us to receive the information we need in order to start preparing the return. They always provide us with the forms before the deadline, so there is nothing to worry about.

All I saw is you will finished the *** tax in 5 business day, did you mentioned that you don't have a permit on the payment page? If you have, then I won't pay it, that's not your reason to delay my work ...

I bought services from Sprintax, Inc. on 02/28/2022 for $158.70. They offer an online tax tool for non-resident aliens. They promise to fill out tax forms based on the information you provide. Before buying, I noticed a problem with one of my state tax returns. I tried to get more information through their help line and live chat. I decided to buy their service because they offer post-filing help (for an extra fee). Throughout the day, I tried to solve the issue, but I kept getting the same answer about how they prepare documents based on the information I give. This answer is partly true and partly false because there was a clear mistake. I immediately asked for a refund, but their Terms & Conditions don't allow it, and I knew that. However, this mistake is clearly their fault because when I filed my taxes with a CPA, almost all state tax returns were calculated differently. I want to mention that the CPA helped us file separately, while the Sprintax application was for filing jointly. The CPA explained how to request adjustments, which is exactly what I expected from Sprintax. I also disputed the charges with my bank in early March, but today the dispute was reversed, and I ended up paying $158.70 for a service I didn't use. Their Terms & Conditions explain these situations well, and I know that. However, they force users to buy their product first and file everything, even if it's incorrect. Why should we spend money and time to fix their mistakes and risk our status in the US? They don't provide an honest service, and their responses are very condescending.
