Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] review: With holding my refund 37

I haven't gotten my 2022 refund back yet. I called the IRS. They told me that it was transferred to "Green Dot Bank" and they gave me the phone number and my acct. # and I ended up here. My refund was only 520 but it's the principal of the thing.

Class action lawsuit I'm in. Let me know.

Everyone who hasn’t received their taxes from any previous time before is to contact the IRS & speak too the REVO department, if they say they don’t have it , then you need to speak to a manager because they do! I finally received mine & the IRS had claimed they had it since Oct , from when Santa Barbara sent it back. The REVO department is an investigating department with all the checks & when the employees that work there say they don’t have that department, they don’t know about it! Speak to someone from Santa Barbara, mention this to them that you need help with contacting one of their managers & they will get you , your taxes faster!

Don’t know if this helps you guys! It last year tpg sent my check to a closed account! The bank denied the check so it was sent back to them! They told me they were mailing me a check and I got fill out a form! Well that wasn’t correct! Because when my bank canceled the check my tax preparer was able to print my check and he mailed it to me! So if a tax preparer did your taxes see if they have it!

I received a letter in April of 2022 from the IRS saying that they owed me money from my 2020 amended tax return. I did my taxes with turbo tax in 2020 and had my fees taken out so my refund was sent to SBTG Santa Barbara Tax Group who took the fees and deposited the rest of my refund into my account. The irs sent my amended return to SBTG since that was the original place my 2020 return went but the account was closed as it was 2 years ago. When I called SBTG they confirmed that they had the money and that it was in the process of being returned to the IRS. The IRS had put a trace on the money as well and contacted me in August stating that SBTG told them that they had deposited the refund into my account which was a lie. Again I called SBTG who again told me they had the funds and it was still in process of being returned to IRS and that it takes awhile so give it a bit of time and call back. I waiting till December of 2022 and called SBTG again and still same answer the funds were in the process of being returned. I filed a complaint with the BBB and SBTG told them that they were unable to deposit the money into my account due to it being closed and they sent a check out to my address that came back undeliverable and that the funds are in process of being sent back to the IRS so BBB closed my complaint. I've been trying to contact SBTG since the BBB complaint but they have deleted my account so I cannot speak to anyone because when I go to enter my social which is what they ask for before the connect you to a representative but when I enter my social it says it's an invalid entry and disconnects my call so now I'm unable to speak to anyone at SBTG regarding my refund at all. Called the IRS and was told there is nothing they can do that I need to call the FDIC which I did and was told that since SBTG is not an actual bank I have to file a complaint through the consumer affairs. I'm at a loss of what to do at this point and just want my refund that belongs to me. There are hundreds of others having this same issue with SBTG holing refunds and saying they are in process of being returned. They say it takes 10 weeks but it's Feb of 2023 and they have been saying this since April 2022

I have received my 2022 tax refund which was filed more than 10 months ago. The IRS processed and funded my refund and somehow my bank returned it. Over the course of 10 months I’ve filed Form 3911 with two different IRS agents. Completed Indemnity Bond forms for TPG with notary. TPG took 6 months to return the funds to the IRS and gave me a Green DOT yet the IRS still hasn’t received any funds from them what so ever. The IRS has submitted the case to BFS for an investigation. At years end “2022” TPG website no longer shows my refund on the site. TPG stated they’ve mailed a refund check which was never received. Website stated funds were direct deposited which my account shows it was rejected and sent back to TPG. Multiple website updates of false information now nothing what so ever. No to mention the hours of waiting on hold to speak to some incompetent agent with no answers.

Has anyone contacted a class action lawsuit lawyer against SBTPG? I’m experiencing the same issues & even called them today to get the same runaround & they still haven’t returned my money. They never mailed my checks either. I had USPS do an investigation & they told me they were never mailed. I’ve been going around in circles with them since April of 2022 & they’ve had my money since February! It’s been 14 weeks since I’ve been told my refund was going to be sent back to the IRS!

I have been waiting on my refund since February 25, 2022 they told me they mailed my refund 3 different dates can't get anyone on the phone, can someone please help me I need my money about to file a lawsuit against them

I’ve been calling for days to get information on my tax return and I sit on hold for hours not being able to get anything else accomplished for hours and when I finally get someone on the line the representative hangs up the phone. I’m ready to contact an attorney

Is there going to be a class action lawsuit? SBTG has been holding my state refund since Feb 28th 2022 and my federal since March 2nd 2022. This is ridiculous!
