Safeway Pharmacy

Good Day

I am currently having an issue with the pharmacist in Holbrook, by the name of Kelli, who has decided to be involved with my prescriptions.

Last month, Kelli called regarding to payment of my hydrocodone, during this call she informed me that my doctor, Dr. Larry Nichols of Snowflake was unethical in prescribing me six pills/day that I needed extended morphine.

Please understand, I have had this prescription by the same doctor for almost 7 years, filled at the same pharmacy.

Kelli stated that she knew more about what to prescribe me than the doctor. and she was the boss. At one point, she claimed that she wouldn't fill my prescription in July.

I went in today to see if there was going to be a problem in filling my prescription. Kelli informed that she was collaborating with Dr. Nichols and my new doctor, Dr. Trujillo on what plan should be developed in regards to my pain meds. Is this a common practice for Safeway pharmacist to get so involved with the customers and have the power to override what a doctor prescribes? Also, I'm not an expert, but does this violate HIPPA for her involvement? I feel like I have no say in my pain management with her involvement and this is very stressful not knowing if my prescription will be honored by Kelli next week.

Please advise me on my rights as a customer

I’m sending this message as a complaint regarding a pharmacist. I have submitted a request online for my Covid shot at the location in Cheyenne Wyoming on Greeley Highway. This would be my second Booster shot. Pharmacist was very rude and disrespectful to me and was arguing with me from across the pharmacy. I was treated very disrespectfully without any consideration of my feelings and how I was being talked to. I did not appreciate him not coming to the front counter where I was to talk with me instead he yelled across the pharmacy area where everyone and anyone can hear our conversation. The problem was I did not have my Covid card with me. He said it would be 30-45 minutes to an hour to help me and I told him well I made an appointment and I have my elderly father with me here so we would like to get our shots together. From that conversation things went out of control. I told him I would call my pharmacy to verify the information for him and he can talk to my pharmacist because I have a rapport with them at Sam’s Club pharmacy because I am ill and take many medication. He kept telling me it’s gonna take that long and that I just need to wait. He had no consideration towards that I had my elderly father there who is very weak and has a hard time moving around already and I wanted to see if he can get my shot for me too since I was there. The general manager came to the area because it was getting very loud all this talking across the Pharmacy area because he wasn’t in front of me. I had to yell across back to him and he was yelling back to me. Which it never needed to get to that point. It was ridiculous. I would hope a pharmacist would be a little empathetic. So, when GM came to talk to me and I explain to him what was going on with Pharmacist. Pharmacist was over talking me as I’m trying to talk to GM. Pharmacist was too worried about proving he was right and I was wrong. GM did not address Pharmacist. I know it’s probably just different department but GM should’ve managed the situation much better. GM just kept trying to tell me that our pharmacy is very busy and they have many prescriptions to fill and many people to take care of with their Covid shots. I asked GM well what about my appointment and what about me being a customer and needing assistance to get this issue addressed and taken care of. GM told me since I don’t have my card and information it’s gonna take longer which I told him that’s fine but it’s going to take one call to verify. Pharmacist did get the phone number for my pharmacy and he did contact them but unfortunately they showed that I did not have my third booster there . It was totally my fault I didn’t have my card available but I was not planning to have to come out to Wyoming again and so I didn’t have it with me . Regardless there was nothing they could even do for me after all that drama. If the pharmacist looked at my records in the first place he would’ve seen what I needed or didn’t need or what I had or didn’t have and then I would’ve known what I was facing from the beginning. I travel back-and-forth and I live in both places Colorado and Wyoming because my dad is sick and needs lots of my attention and help. While I am talking to GM he has one of his employees standing behind him and she’s just looking at me in this ugly way for no reason and I asked her why are you looking at me like that? I literally felt teamed up against Pharmacist , GM and GM employee. The young lady was stocking shelves and then all of a sudden she’s over there just listening to our conversation and standing behind GM. I told GM that I don’t know why your employees looking at me like this and he told me oh no she would never do that to you. I just shut up because it was a no winning battle with any of them they were all basically telling me They can’t help me. Well, that’s OK and that’s fine if it cant get help me but I didn’t deserve to be treated like that. I felt very disrespected in this situation. Neither one of them apologized for the situation and both letting me know they basically have so many more other customers to take care of besides me. I have never experienced that kind of Customer Service ever in my entire life and I am 58 years old. I asked GM who I can speak with that is above him because I don’t feel I was treated with care at all and he gave me a name of District Manager. I just let them both know that people are not feeling well and then they have to go through arguments and fighting with a pharmacist and a general manager at a store that is not right. The young tech that did give my dad his shot came in and was very professional and very kind to my father. The lady at the front counter in the pharmacy was also very kind and very professional. Pharmacist wanted to fight with somebody and argue with someone that day and it happened to be me. It came across as not putting up with anybody’s crap and is willing to argue with customers and I guess that was me. I’m just not someone that’s going back down if someone’s not treating me right or is being disrespectful. I was supervisor for many years at a call center and I’m sorry but I was told the customers always right and you try to accommodate your customer the best you can especially if your customers telling you that they’re ill and they need help and they just want to get an issue taken care of. Pharmacist finally did call my pharmacy once the general manager came over. There was some type of confusion on when my last booster shot I was and we’re. Again that’s my fault because I do not have a card with me. There was nothing nobody could do for me like I’ve said from the beginning because I didn’t have my card to show any information so nobody could help me anyway. I really didn’t think the whole Safeway store needed to hear our conversation as Pharmacist talking loud across the room to me instead of coming to the booth where I was at and explaining in a professional manner to me what was going to be the best scenario to handle the situation because I was without my card of vaccinations. It was a very embarrassing situation my father could even hear the conversation while he was sitting in a separate room and it made him very anxious and nervous but thank God he got a good technician that gave him a shot who was very kind of nice to my dad so that made it smooth and that was the most important thing. I can go back to Colorado and go to 20 different Safeway's that I wanted to go get my vaccination shot which I will do. I will never go back into this store again due to the fact how the general manager treated me and the pharmacist. I would like to be contacted by email or you can contact me by phone regarding this issue. Pharmacist and GM made it seem like a big joke that I wanted their names and who is in charge. If this isn’t addressed seriously and that’s on management but I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did especially an elderly person and a sick person like myself. I did at one point ask for their names and Pharmacist would not give me his name. I had to try to figure it out and see it for myself because he said no he would not give me his name? Why would a pharmacist not give his name ? He was just so argumentative. I wish you have a video so you can see how ridiculous Pharmacist was in this whole situation. I was there at 10 o’clock when this occurred. I just don’t need this type of stress. The whole mess was uncalled for. After I got home and I had a copy of my card sent to me of my vaccinations and I had all three shots there at that Safeway location and if the pharmacist would’ve at least even brought up my account he would’ve seen everything has been done there at that location and I should’ve been able to get my shot that day. If this locations too busy to help people get Covid shots and help them with their situation then maybe they should not be giving them out. If I feel like a burden to them then that’s not a good feeling when I’m trying to take care of my health. This epidemic we are all going through is scary. Instead of me feeling encouraged to get a Covid shot I was very discouraged.

Safeway Amex gift card not activated error

I purchased an Amex Gift Card for $500 on 6/12/22 and went to use it but it came up with an activation error. It said I needed to return where I purchased it. I have the activation receipt and the card and will attach the pictures on here for you to investigate. The store checked there records and referred me to online help. # 100699 with the web address:

Safeway Home delivery of Groceries

Sunday 6/26/2022 I thought I had received a call from the delivery person, that I had missed. I tried to call the number and it was not answering,it sent me to the mail box, which said it was full and I could not leave a message. I decided to get in touch with customer service. A pleasant person answered and took my account of what happened. Then after giving my info so he could verify who I was and what my account is, he looked it up and said that the order wasn't out for delivery yet and I would be notified when it was on the way. He also said he would try to contact the driver to let him know what was going on. I thank the customer service person and the call ended at 2:34pm. I received a text a 2:47pm saying my order was was on it's way, delivery time 1pm - 5pm with a link to track progress of the driver at 2:49pm a text saying my order has been delivered, came in. The delivery instructions are for the driver to call or text me so I can come and let him into the building, never received a call. I went to the building lobby and there was no sign of a driver or my order. Called customer service again, another nice person answered, to my info as before and what my problem was. He could see that text saying my order was delivered. He would not try to contact the driver. Told me that the driver only has to call as a courtesy and can leave the order in the lobby or mail area not at my door. Unable to get a result, he offered to cancel the order or reship it on Monday, which is what I wanted scheduled it for 12pm and 4pm window delivery time. I'm going to get back to you on how this works.

Safeway Avocados

I’ve spent about $20 on a few avocados here at least 2/3rds are brown and inedible.

Never buy them here just don’t do it. I know how to pick ‘em out and go for greener ones and even those are often wastes.

Soliel soda was $1.99 (sale) for a 12 pack. Now same price but only 8 packs. This is a 33% increase. Isnt this a Safeway (Signature) product? Why?

Safeway Delivery

First, I would like to say that my overall experience with Safeway is great. The variety and quality of the food is great. Before becoming disabled I could shop myself. The general staff was customer friendly.

Since becoming disabled I rely on their delivery service. They usually send a Doordash person. 50% of the time they are professional; however, other times it isn't. Some of the issues are as follows: delivery person claiming the items are too heavy; asking me to help them; leaving items outside security gate, just to name a few. Twice I've refused to pay. Safeway refunded charge for nonreceipt.

I need consistent service...not troubleshooting.

Desired outcome: Make sure drivers make an effort to contact customer before leaving groceries where they deem appropriate.

Safeway Employee harassing customers

At the safeway on 107th ave and Olive I have been harassed by an employee her name is Bailey she's kinda tall and has mid long length brown/ Dirty Blondish hair. This would be the 3rd time I have shopped here and have been harassed by her. Unlike other employees that would be on the other side of the aisle, She will literally be on my a** throughout every aisle I am on until the time I check out. The second time she had done this she walked beyond slow in front of me when i was trying to walk out of the store and kept mumbling [censored] to her self that I couldn't make out other then "Your a dumb little girl" Which I am sure she was talking to me since I had been the only other person near her . I kept walking to my friends car and we took off. This last time that had happened once I was done ready to leave until I stopped turned back around and asked her for her name. Her response was so beyond snobby and disrespectful. She said "why? You don't need to fuc*ing know my name." While she was telling me that I was able to get her name off her name tag that she was trying to cover up with her hair. (Which is why I could only get her first name). I felt very disrespected and had horrible customer service from her. I thought employees had to give them their name if a customer asks them nicely and respectfully?

She does not know how to be nice or have good customer service skills.

Desired outcome: I'd like if corporate and her manger says something to her and teaches her to learn good customer service skills and how to talk to customers respectfully.

Safe way customer service is terrible,

Bias to a certain category of customers. A employee named Antoinette refuse to assist me with downloading to use a digital coupon for certain product. Than she stated will manually apply the discount since she was unable to provide guidance on how to use it on the application. She also informed me it was forbidden for her to use her discount for me, which I didn’t ask her to apply to my check out, I just wanted what the store was promoting. The discount she was trying to apply was $3 lesser than the advertisement on the $5 off after spending $25. I informed the market associate Antoinette the discount she was trying to apply wasn’t correct and she scanned her badge in the cash register edit a increase dollar amount, instead of a decreased. After that moment the employee stated you wasn’t going to assist me anymore due to her being frustrated and worked all day and walked away. She still use her discount for another customer besides me on their self check out order, after she wasn’t able to help me.

I had to manage to find the coupon on the app myself and use.Than

Antoinnette asked another employee to assist me and that cashier stated the $5 off after spending $25 only applies when I buy $25 Pampers participate products. Why wasn’t I informed that with Antinnetto after spending over 15 mins trying to download the digital coupon off the app. Where if I new this information I couldn’t been left the store and paid my bill. That is deceitful marketing practicing and should be changed or the employees should be better trained on how to relay this information to the customer . The only good thing about this market is the bakery department. I had other issues with self checkout employee in the past as well that I won’t get into. Also, the hot food area like the pizza is nasty, one lady pick up the pizza with gloves on, at the same time touching the Dirty surface and viewing her Mobile device in front of customers. The sushi area and bakery is the best departments to visit there. Safe way has good products. But some employees at this location is terrible and I refused to visit this location only for a very special occasion . 2400 Peoples Plaza

Safeway Food

I was at 19th St Safeway in Sacramento to pick up dinner . Unfortunately I picked green chili chicken enchiladas for 12.99$

When I got home heated meal , it was horrible it had over cooked rice with a little chicken in what looked and tasted like an Alfredo sauce with green salsa in it, a few black beans and a tortilla on top with some cheese on it, to me it looked like somebody used old rice and an old chicken mix of some kind I did not find one enchilada it tasted horrible and I’m upset that it cost 12.99$ for this slop.. this store is bad enough with the crime and homeless their that I’m sure your aware of who ever is in charge of deli should not be making food . Safeway cashier

Safeway Pharmacy/pharmacist

My family and I have been using this pharmacy 20+ years, with out issues. Over the years I have noticed less and less professionalism in the way they conduct their business.

I’ve had pills from someone else’s prescription mixed in with my prescription, luckily I discovered them.

Their pharmacist Ramon, is refusing to fill my family‘s prescription because he felt that my physicians assistant was rude to him on the phone!

This is just 2 example of how unprofessional this pharmacy has become.

I highly advise that you do not patronize this Pharmacy.

I’m moving my families prescriptions to a new pharmacy as well so my grocery business.

Their pharmacist Ramon, blatantly lied about my insurance denying my prescription. I called my insurance they said they approved it. My insurance company called confronting Ramon he changed and filled my prescription.

This same pharmacist Ramon, is refusing to fill my family‘s prescription because he felt that my physicians assistant was rude to him on the phone!

Safeway Returning an item.

I have been a loyal Safeway customer ever since the Keizer, Or store was built. We also shopped at the old Safeway before the new one was built, for 44 years total. I am sure I am into thousands spent at that Safeway. We bought a Marion Berry pie for $11.00 that did not taste like Marion Berry and did not taste very good for some reason. I brought the pie back the next day and I was told because I did not have a receipt and the item cost more than 10 dollars they would not take it back. I called the manger also and he said that had it been $10 or less they would have give a store credit or refund, that is store policy. I would have taken $10 but that was not offered. I told him that I would never enter that store again, and you will lose a loyal customer for life. No comment after my statement. I know it is not much money, but to me, it is the principle of the incident. They made me feel like I was scamming the store and trying to pull a fast one, and they were ok with me not shopping there anymore. Very disappointed loyal Safeway customer

Safeway Winfield optimum crush blue

I brought a packet of winfield optimum crush blue from safeway 18/03/22, always smoke them, they do say vp114 like always however they are definitely not winfield blue optimum crush, they are 100% winfield blue crush duo. Falsely advertised, so disappointing I can’t smoke them they’re horrible. I don’t know who’s I got stooged into something else when my label and cigarette number is winfield blue optimum crush. But I can send them back so you know for yourself they are definitely not.
