SafeLink Wireless recertification

I have been trying to recertify my Safelink account for over a month now. I've called and spoken with individuals, tried to submit documentation via email, and tried uploading online through the Safelink website. I'm still left waiting! It's mid May ‘19 and I've been trying to recertify since the end of March! I am very unhappy and will be doing whatever it takes to ensure another customer won't have to deal with all this nonsense! Not only have I been WITHOUT a way of communication for 6weeks, but I have been treated extremely poorly as a customer.

SafeLink Wireless bad phones they are selling and will not return or exchange

I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy for $119.00 on www.shopsafelinkwireless.com because I dropped my other phone I had with them for 3 years. I called to activate my service the phone worked for 8 days then the sound stop working on both sides of the phone call when a call was made. So I called back they ran me through 3 transfers the tech sad it was beyond his skill set so I was transfered to a supervisor he said my phone is bad since it's not a Safelink phone where's nothing else we can do for you". I said I bought the phone off your website he asked me for my IME number and said they have no record prob by that I told them I have an invoice to prove it I can send you and he transfers me to his manager. The manager had me do the same thing confirm IME # told me I didn't buy the phone from them there's nothing they can do them without any working or allowing me to reply I was sent to a recorded line that after the recording disconnected me. So I called back and went through the same 3 hour process hopeig I would get someone else that could help me and this time the manager just put me on hold without warning I sat on a blank line for 2 hours before I hung up and called back I went through the process again after getting manager after only a hour this time I remained calm cool and collective I am a professional disabled Firefighter Paramedicso I don't get much income every month so if I want to have a phone I have to make it work I told the manager first thing this timen that the last time I called I was told I didn't buy a phone from you that I bought from you but they failed to be kind enough or professional enough to let me send my invoice to prove it so I can exchange my phone for one that works or just get a refund completely he looked up my IME then said call this number they can help you it's a company called quality one at 1-855-677-7895 so we hung up I called the number they tried to give me a hundred dollar gift card they just needed me information after I gave my name the man said now we just need your address to send your Walmart gift card I replied I don't need a gift card I just really my refund on my phone that I bought on the safelink website and he hung up on me I don't know what to do they took advantage of a crippled old man with a set monthly income that barely allows me to have a phone if it wasn't for the $15 per month service plan when talking to a safelink agent they would say they can't help it trackphone not safelink transfer me and trackphone would say it safelink not trackphone so they can't help me and transfer me again please help me I'm at a loss and can't belive how they lie and treat their customer I need my money or a phone that works

SafeLink Wireless safelink phone transfer and other services

they said phone servive was untransferrable even though I had tracfone service over a month and that zipcodes wouldnt work. I call it [censored] because the phone was set to 37090 previouly and was repeatedly told even after 3 simcard changes one sent by safelink that 37122 wouldnt work nor would 37076. this is stupid because I transferred from iphone 5 to se 4 days ago ans was transferring from android to iphone 5 which I did previously 2 monthhs ago.

SafeLink Wireless service

I'm angry at Safelink, I've had SafeLink for a long time, I mean years and years all of a sudden just recently they shut my phone off accusing me of trying to switch to another company, now I'm going through heck trying to get my phone back on it may not have the best connection and a few other problems but I have depression, Anxiety, P.T.S.D and Epilepsy I need that phone with me . Not only do they need to go through and fix a lot of issues like my phone hangs up when I called some one no matter who it is, or if I do finally get through only one of us can hear the other one.

SafeLink Wireless cell phone service

I had government phones before safelink, but this is thee worst service I ever had! It has very poor reception signal. You can be on the phone and the phone call drops in a blink of a eye. Sometimes, you can hear the callers voice, but they cannot hear yours. Then at other times, when your on a call, the static is so bad you cannot hear what the caller is saying. You can be waiting on a very important call, and it gets sent to voice mail with out hearing the phone ring. Then the worst of all complaints is when you have to make a important phone call and you cannot get a signal to dial out! I have friends with the same phone and they hate the service as well! When I got the phone, the safe link customer representative stated all there phones are old and you cannot even purchase one from them. I wouldn't recommend safe link or donate one to a refugee from a poor third world country!

SafeLink Wireless free tracfone

My son is unemployed, on Medicaid and looking for work. He applied for a phone on Feb. 9. 2019. Long story short they decided his mailing address, in their "system" was invalid. He lives with family in a house that has been there and receiving mail for 50 years. The phone was sent to an address three blocks away which they said was the address he gave them. He sent them a copy of his driver's license which also had the same actual address where he lives. I tried to arrange to have the phone sent to my address, care of me. They said that this was doable. When I called a few days later to see if the phone had been sent, I spoke to a different person who said my address was also "invalid" in their "system". Every time I called, I got another person who told a different set of lies. Today, almost one month later, they told me he is ineligible and cannot apply again. I suspect there is some kind of racket or scam going on and I have contacted my state attorney general's office and am going to call the FCC. They need to be investigate. My son, with no income, had to buy a regular cell phone so he can look for a job. Oh yeah, and everyone you talk to is a "supervisor"

He is a college student trying to get some part time work. He is an award winning math major with a scholarship who has worked since the age of 16 but was laid off from a job. I am retired and 68 years old, having worked since the age of 17. I would not call a person or persons I do not know lowlifes, but that says more about you. Have a blessed day.

SafeLink Wireless I need a replacement safelink phone

February 12, 2019 after months of issues with my phone I finally called and got the run around I always get when calling, which is why I put it off for so long. My phones speaker is barely audible, I have to use speaker phone to hear a conversation. I cannot hear it ring, or if I do I only get one ring. The numbers/letters are worn off. The space bar does not work.
I explained all this to cindy the first rep I spoke with. (her broken english did not make this any easier) she insisted I find another phone for a call back. I do not have that option!
I asked to speak with a supervisor, who also insisted I find another phone. I explained... I do not have that option, I am snowed in, I live alone, am disabled and old.
He said they needed numbers to trouble shoot, and I must disassemble phone. Ridiculous...
That didn't matter. There is nothing that can be fixed by trouble shooting... Numbers reappear, volume/speaker? I want a new phone plain and simple, I have had this one for years!
[protected] if you call... I wont hear it ring!
Next step bbb and fcc and ada!
If I were wanting new service, or wanting to buy something, service is great. Its when somebody actually has to do something or handle a disgruntled customer, service is ridiculously difficult.
A simple new phone, not a smart phone.

SafeLink Wireless textbook case on poor customer service!

Safelink wireless is definitely a textbook case on poor customer service!
This so-called company has no intention in providing or improving customer service. You will be connected to some clown in the philippines if you can possibly get threw the endless maze of their phone system without being disconnected. These people barely speak english, and definitely do not understand it. You will be given wrong information almost every time, and it is highly unlikely that anything will be resolved. Your best bet is to try to solve a problem on their sorry website if possible. No question the worst excuse for customer service I have ever encountered!

SafeLink Wireless dawn baldwin

I was told on Jan 11th 2018 that I would receive a new phone on Jan 18th 2019. I called and the supervisor which I could not understand her name. Stated that I would not get a phone that I had to. use my broken broken. My sister heard the gentleman on my speaker phone that I would receive a new phone. Company needs to get employees that has respect to us. Supervisor who can do their jobs instead of being rude and calling me a lier. Email me at [protected]@gmail.com or call me at [protected]. Called multiple times about the same issue. Customer service agent dont know anything. Put me on hold for a good 30 minutes and comes back . Didnt solve the issues. Just wish they would speak English hard to understand .

SafeLink Wireless recertification of safelink phone

Let me first say I do not feel this complaint will go anywhere and we customers need to get this program looked at/checked out by the upper government agency (President). There is way too many complaints about this to just ignore. My issue has been going on since May 2018. I have been trying to re-certify my Aunt's phone service with safelink . I will give the basic info I have been given from Safelink customer service. First the reason I am helping my Aunt she is disabled. I was not the one who submitted her application that got the phone service so neither one of us knew of the yearly re-certification. When I asked about how does customer know how to re-certify I was told they send a msg (my Aunt only uses phone for calls because she does not know how to check or use msg/text). I also asked how do they know when to re-certify (date/time frame) She said "I cannot give you that information" Do they just pick any time in the year and call to recertify? She stated the same thing. And this year has been the first year the phone was cut off so how it was re-certified for the past years we do not know. We did the same things as all the other customers to re-certify; submit documentation by mailing & faxing but they always reject saying to send again can not read. I am not being nasty, but I would love to say here what about when customers call and we can not understand anything they say. I just re-sent the paperwork and was told to check back with them in a week to find out if everything was received and processed. Which was yesterday (18Dec2018) & I called and spoke with 2 different people then transferred to the 3rd person. Again rejected and now account closed and must start from the beginning. I was told they received the faxed info needed but unable to read (which they do not let u know must always call and find out about your acct they do not send out a letter, nothing- very hard for old people to do this). I asked her about why was I told to call back and find out the status if they were going to close the account before we even called to check (fax was sent to them on 7Dec2018 and I was told they rejected/closed account on 10Dec2018) I informed the lady that was not a week (3 days). Long story short I asked for a supervisor/manager, a phone number or means to submit a complaint. She kept telling me acct was closed/reject and that she was the supervisor and there was no one else. I do not know the polices for SafeLink on customer service, complaints etc but I do know someone needs to look into this program because it is not being run very well. This lady (Animel - not sure how to spell her name) she would not even tell me how to submit a complaint and also tried to say she was over the program. I told her I wish they were recording our conservation as they usually state for training purposes. If you have this option it would be great to make them use it so you can verify and know how the program is being handled.

Hello,

I've been on the phone on & off for 2 months trying to rectify my problem.

I've been a loyal customer of Safelink Wireless since 2016 - with no problems.

About 2 months ago, they turned my service off, out of the blue (my renewal is in Nov)

Ever since this has happened I can not get my phone service to work for more than a week tops. 3 times they reconnected me, and then out of nowhere they turn it off again!

I qualify on the original Lifeline program & qualify on the newer ACP program.

I have been without a phone for 2 months now on & off. This phone is my only lifeline. I am disabled and very much need it for survival. I am a single girl & live by myself in a very rural area. I dont have a landline or even neighbors to help if anything should happen to me. I don't overly use it, don't play games or watch vids like crazy. It's supposed to be UNLIMITED TALK TEXT & DATA with 10 gbs of hotspot.

So why does it keep disconnecting me? I feel like I'm being scammed or maybe not calling the right numbers, bc everytime it welcomes me back and then a week later I get cut off again. EVER since Verizon merged with Safelink, this garbage has been happening.

If anyone could help me I would be much obliged.

I have the same complaint as the first caller. Cutting off my phone because I didn't recertified. The first couple of times I was recertified on the phone itself. This year they sent the form I filled out and my phone was cut back on. The following they claim that I didn't qualify and sent me to the Lifeline site.The person said I didn't qualify after 30 minutes of talking to her because I lived in NC. sHE SENT ME BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PERSON. In May, of this year, 2019, it was cut of again after they said I wasn't qualified, and they thought I was going to fill out another application and I said absolutely, NO! i HUNG UP ON 3 PEOPLE AND CALLED FOR Supervisor to give me a number, to complain to. You need to hire so people first of all that speak English correctly! You need to hire people who listen to people and use their customer service skills. They make it harder is necessary. I finally got someone with good sense! But it required an hour of my time. I've had this same phone for over 15 years. They was trying to send me to lifeline.org and there was something wrong with that site. It says it was not takin g NC again! I am through. I will go through a new company. I agree completely, my disabled wife of 51 years cannot do this recertification thing, I can't seem to each year either (she's had the phone for several years), each year it is the same: submit (nothing's changed), and they reject. I believe they must be a bunch of sadists who delight in making old folks stumble through hoops! Thanks for the usage we've had...

Unfortunately, I've been trying to get my mother's service re-activated for 4 months! I have bought, yes, BOUGHT & PAID FOR plans the agent told me would work with her phone until we can get everything stranightened out. The plans will not work because it is a SAFELINK phone. I would be happy to buy another phone and pay for the minutes myself but my mother is 82. She learned to use the phone she has and even the same phone, or what looks to me like the exact same phone at Walmart is different to her. She has learned to use the phone she has and nothing else will work. I am SOOOOOOO sick of this. I would gladly pay for the phone & minutes myself just to stop messing with this crap! But she wants the phone she has now & can't learn a new one. She is very limited. I've tried to show her how easy the other trac phones are but she can't understand. I've called, I've mailed applications, I've mailed the documents they have asked for, I have bought 3 different plans that WON'T WORK because it is a SAFELINK phone. I've called. I've spent HOURS talking to someone who can barely speak English and get NO RESULTS. I've tried Chatting online. They tell me to call. This is nothing but a piece of crap. They say they want to help people who can't afford cell phone service? Just another piece of government sponsored CRAP

SafeLink Wireless safelink phone rep

So my service was cut off yesterday when my service is still paid up for another two months. I've called and talked with 7 different people each giving the run around transferring me to person to person. Then the last person I spoke with was supposed to be restarting my servicing and rebooting my phone via wireless remote. She first said I'll be placed on hold for two minutes. She came back on the line and said another five minutes. After that I sat and listened to her talk to other employees and sing. Yes she sang and sang. After 35 minutes of this I said hello and dialed numbers trying to get her attention. Nothing. Then after 40 minutes I was redirectted without taking to her but this time it was a recording saying they are closed!
I am convinced these people place us on hold so they don't have to do work. They are on an automatic call system that automatically sends calls to them if they aren't already on a call. So, the trick is to take a call, ask for information then say please hold and then go jerk off somewhere. The business owners are at fault here. If they can't run a business they shouldn't have one.

SafeLink Wireless online chat representative

I contacted safelink through online chat and spoke with a man named Marco. I've never been so unpleased with safelink in my life until this conversation. He was rude and didn't want to help me what so ever. I honestly believe he needs to learn how to treat customers. Just because this is a government based cell phone program doesn't mean I should be treated like a piece of trash.

I started over a month ago to get a phone, my phone was dying, its been absolutely terrible ! My phone did die, I bought a new phone it didnt work, sent it back for replacement it got 20 miles away from me & was SENT back, wth, That was 2 weeks ago , I'm still waiting, order numberS i was given don't work , I think they're using my information & giving other people phones ,what else could it be ? I been with these people since 2011

SafeLink Wireless robo calls

For over a year now I've been receiving two to three calls per day, seven days per week, even on holidays stating I need to call and recertify. I've recertified. I've called and talked to reps at Safelink (have a hard time understanding them). I checked the computer and it says all my paperwork is ok. I've written letters to their Oregon and Florida offices but no reply and no stopping of robocalls. I've texted back to them to stop the calls. Why can't they stop these robocalls? Why aren't they being sued for this? This is getting out of hand. I see a lot of other people have the same issue with them.

SafeLink Wireless survey texts from safelink that are unknown to customer support.

Received 3 texts over the last 3 days from SAFELINK that asks if I would participate in RESEARCH SURVEY and receive $100.00. Texts provide your website and [protected] number. When I called this number today your customer rep.could provide me with no information. I have been deleting these texts for the last couple of days, but thought in order to stop your texting almost every day I would take the survey. Now I am told there is no survey. Please email me with some competent information or stop texting me.

SafeLink Wireless technical support operators

My name is Lisa Christiansen I have been trying to help my brother for 6 months to reactivate his SafeLink phone his knock on minutes for almost a year and I can't figure out why everytime I call they send me a new application we sending the pictures and all the information needed and every time I call they tell me for the 4th time to fill out an application and the technicians are very rude they cut you off when you're talking it's just terrible and I just don't know what else to do about this situation this will be the fifth time that he is actually filling an application out again his phone is cracked I asked them to please send them a new phone they won't do that they won't even put minutes on the phone he has what is the problem with SafeLink and they're technicians and somebody somewhere is dropping the ball his cell phone number is seven two four 961-9326 please help please activate his phone and give him his minutes that he hasn't received for almost a year thank you

SafeLink Wireless my phone is broken

My safelink cellphone had broke something in the last week of September 2018 of this year. I send in my documents they asked for and I still didn't received my safelink cellphone in the mail at all. I had send a xerox copy of my food stamp card about 3 times this month and mail my food stamp card copy as well and then I had so send the food stamp application form in as well. I turn in all of my documents that I was suppose to turn in but, I didn't receive any cellphone in the mail at all this month. Can you please send me my cell phone in the mail please. I had sent all of my documents that you requests in the mail any I had send everything you requested by to to you. I still don't have my cellphone yet.

they have poor phones that break down and if you are lucky to get a replacement one you have to wait forever. I miss metro pcs. I was paying 67 a month but because I lost my job I couldn't afford it anymore. no problems with my old phone except for the bill.

SafeLink Wireless service

I was currently a storm victim of Hurricane Florence in September of 2018. Due to flooding damage and loosing personal property, including my safe link phone. I called to report the damage. I was told I didn't qualify for a replacement and told to buy one. If I could afford one I wouldn't have called or be using the government phone. I think it's pathetic you wouldn't help, me or other flood victims in our time of need!

I applied for a compatible sim card through safelink and they sent me the wrong sim card the sim card safelink sent me is only compatible with t mobile i need the one that is compatible with at&t the t mobile sim card will not work in the phone I have so can you please fix your mistake and send me the sim card that is compatible with at&t so i can use my phone and get my benefits

SafeLink Wireless poor service from a phone representative

On Saturday October the 30th at 3:00 p:m a supervisor roman gave highly unsatisfactory service on the phone. We were discussing an issue about me getting a cell phone. now I am trained in active communication skills which I used in our exchange. he said comething which I was not clear about. so I asked a question . his reply did not awnswe my question. So I replied" let me repeat back you're answer to get on the same page. I did that and asked is that what you said. Have I left anything out. "Yes. That's what I said. then I repeated my unanswered question. he repeated his same unsatisfactory answer. I again used the same communication tool. I repeated his answer with the same results. we did this 3 times with the same results. so I asked to speak to his supervisors and he said " I am the supervisor. I asked to speak to his manager and he hung up. Additionally a week ago My phone broke and I asked you to send me a new one and did not receive it. I called you about that and a mistake was made and you did not send me one. I am going to switch to assurance. Sincerly Dennis.

SafeLink Wireless cell phone

I am low income and I have a free phone with safelink. I've been having nothing but problems with the service and every time I call and speak to someone, they claim that the problem is fixed but it never is. I submitted all of my documents as proof that I am low income and I was approved and given the minutes that I was owed, but now, again, as usual, when the beginning of the month came, I did not get my minutes. Also, I tried to make a call today and I was informed that I couldn't make the call. I've been having nothing but problems with this service for the past few years and I can't seem to get anywhere with customer service. I am now at the end of my rope with this company.
