SafeLink Wireless Motorola e6

I purchased a motorola e6 phone through safelinks website on (10/2/2020) received phone on 10/9/2020. Buying a phone through their site begins with me being prompted to enter my zip code (to make sure my phone is compatible with providers in my area) I was then given a choice of 3 service providers in my area (safelink at&t, safelink t-mobile, safelink version) of those I chose the t-mobile package.
But when I tried to activate the phone I was passed around to 3 different customer service people and none of them could activate the phone, I was told that t-mobile wasn't available in my area, I asked why would they sell me a phone I couldn't use?
After getting the run-a-round from 3 different people who did nothing but offer to sell me a sim card that would work for 10 dollars more.
I gave up and decided to try again in the morning. The person I talked to the next morning said paying for a new sim card was the only option, I told him that was not acceptable and I wanted a refund, he then tried to tell me I didn't purchase it through safelink but through amazon, I said no I bought it right through their website, he then started lying to me and saying he had the invoice and it said amazon, I said I have the invoice too and it says nothing about amazon and neither does the invoice on their site.
He just kept repeating that I would have to send it back to amazon, I said how? The item was purchased through safelink the invoice says safelink, nothing says amazon, how would I even begin to start a return with them when I didn't purchase it from them? Ive got nothing but the run-a-round from them, they won't fix my sim card problem without charging me and won't accept a return either.
This has been a horrible experience from a company who is paid through the government to help low income people and all they did was take my money and sell me a worthless product, try to extort more money from me to make it work then stick me with this useless phone that can't be activated while refusing my returning it.

If you use safelinks service never buy a phone through their website.
they sold me a phone that i could have gotten from amazon for 20 dollars less, it couldn't be activated and they wouldn't accept a return.

SafeLink Wireless Service

I paid for an unlimited plan before my minutes ran out... The next day when I checked my balance it only had the free monthly minutes posted and not the unlimited plan I paid for with my debit card but the money was taken out my account... When I called customer service they stated they didn't see a payment posted on there computer even though my account statement show the money was withdrawn from my account and was told to purchase another plan... As of date the minutes still haven't been add and still no record of a payment ever posted to there computer and im still out of the money spent for minutes I have yet to receive... If ever

SafeLink Wireless Minutes over charge requiring purchasing a plan, hang-up, phone, set-up poor customer service

It took 3 days, the use of 3 friends phones and countless hours of trying to get through to safe link, being disconnected and waiting on another phone while they tried to resolve the problem, as well as finding the right person to rectify the situation. First it was the setup, then the apn, then no data. Now they told me I used all 350 minutes when my phone records show only 177 and I had to purchase the $15+tax unlimited calls plan for one month in order to make calls. When I asked to compare the call minutes I had to there's, they would only give me the total minutes per day (which did not compare) and transferred me to a voice message (that I had to listen to 6 times to get all the information from) requiring me to submit: send completed sworn statement requesting call detail records form with a copy of the back of your phone showing the imei # under the battery. (never said where to send the request.) alternatively you may provide:
Name, address, cell #, serial number (under the battery on the back of the phone), time frame for call detail records, & statement confirming you are the owner of the phone. You must state "I declare under penalty of perjury that all statements contained in this letter are true and correct." signature
Provide a legible copy of back of phone showing serial number included with sworn letter. Fax request to [protected] (I don't have access to a fax machine.) upon receipt of sworn letter, an agent will call confirming your request & set up and confirm contact information on account. Requested records mailed 30 days after setting up or confirming your information."so pay $15 a month for their free service or go through hoops to show they're ripping you off. There is no customer service and no one at the company to escalate a complaint to, even though there website states"tracfone wireless has a very close working relationship with its retail partners, and are the brand leaders at many of the top retail chains. As such, we are held to a higher standard than other providers in terms of service and delivery." ha!

SafeLink Wireless Service on my phone [protected]

My name is robin garrison phone number [protected] I ran out of minutes july 26 I pd $15 dollars and I have life line I got 500 minutes while everyone else gets unlimited talk and text. I went to look up and see what everyone else was getting for 15 dollars. While I got 500 minutes. And yet i've been a costumer for a good while. Would you not be mad cause I ran out of minutes once again

SafeLink Wireless Lifeline service has been disconnected

I am Lillian Cobb 775/7376319. I had Safelink/Tracfon uninterrupted service for 4 years. March 2020 called Safelink for a phone, mine wasn't working. They refused. I called for a new number, only after my Grandson had my old phone fixed. After calling Safelink customer service at least 5 times with No results, I finally reached Victor at the 800 number. After talking with him, he advised he would "look into it". When I tried calling out, shortly after my conversation with Victor, I learned he disconnected my lifeline service for no apparent reason. When I try to use my phone it says I have run out of minutes (I have 4000 minutes and my service ending date is 12/28/2020) if you need the serial number or Sim card number, please advise. To date I have not been able to get any help getting my lifeline service back on or any answers on why my service was disconnected in the first place! My MSG # is 775/420-9320. I can be reached or a message can be left and I will return the call. I will follow this up with as many complaints to Safelink, Tracfon and any other agency in order for you to turn my service back on. Formal complaint next

SafeLink Wireless Expired sim card and did not receive free phone

My husband signed up for safelink and when he did he hit the wrong thing well customer service refused to let him fix his application sent him a expired sim card that was already activated I faught for 3 weeks with safelink tmobile and tracfone and still was being ran in circles with no help well when I brought all this to safelinks attention about the expired sim card and the free phone they wanted to lie to me over and over even when ibwas reading them the proof and everything so my husbands account is fixing to get cancelled all because u couldnt use his service to keep it active and for all this trouble we have had I think he deserves a free phone of his choice plus whatever network he wants to be on

SafeLink Wireless Service from technical support at safelink.

[protected] I just got off the phone with Safelink Wireless after what has been a three day ordeal. of trying to find out what happened to my account I called Wednesday [protected] after checking to see what my balance was, I noticed it said refill date May 1, 2020 at the bottom I wanted to know what refill meant as my minutes should just be applied. I was told I was disqualified from Safelink because my phone was in-active.. I asked what that meant. I was informed that I was not following the regulations of using my phone at least once a month.. I could not believe what they were saying. I asked them to check my records and they would see they were wrong. Was that to much to ask of them being they are cutting my lifeline to my family and the outside. I am in a Nursing Facility.. I am on Medicaid and I am 69years old.. I do not have to tell you about COVID-19... and how we in a Nursing Facility are high risk. I told this to the woman I spoke with today [ one of many over past 3 days ] she told me to call National Registry and see if they would give me confirmation. The woman I spoke to informed me that I was not due have to fill out anything until 12-27-2020. Here I call Safelink Technical back, First I was told everything was alright and then when he transferd me I was told my application was pending. What application? You told me I was disqualified because of inactive,... I had enough, of being bounced back and forth. I am asking for your help. PLEASE.. I need you to know I have used my phone everyday since the day I received it... Again ask them to check all the records... Now I have no phone for they took all my minutes off and my texts. What an awful thing to do, especially inthat is going on... the midst of all this... I need my minutes and my sms put back on my phone. SafeLink Wireless Being punished for taking care of my cell phone.

I'm on a fixed income with 2 kids & now, absolutely no way to be reached or make calls during a pandemic. My phone has been on aprox. 3/4 years. I've taken very good care of my phone. But it has sustained damaged, & although I have never requested a replacement because it still function thru actual calls, now, it's has begun dropping calls & making life difficult. I read online if never requested I am eligible for a replacement phone. But I was informed by "apple" in their customer service that I am not eligible for a replace because the warranty has run out. Basically I am being punished for taking care of the free phone given to my household toi. Well. (& other poor people) during a pandemic i'm being told if I can't pay for another "free" phone it's just too bad. So while governors & other advocates tells us about the resources out there to help us. Tracfone/safelink wireless have left my family & I for dead in the middle of a pandemic. While they get government spending they are denying help to those in need. They were only willing to assist me closing my account they had no other suggestions.

SafeLink Wireless Data

Safelink wireless, is a crappy company, with crappy customer service.
I am a cancer patient who also has just had heart valve replacement surgery. I live alone. I have no data. Haven't had data sin late march. I called support on april 3rd. None of them speak legible english, as support is outsourced to some country in southeast asia. The person managed to convey that my data was all used and it will recycle on the 3rd. It was the 3rd, I reminded her. She then said that it may take until the 5th. Today is the 5th... Still no data.
Today, I managed to get a supervisor (allegedly), and she said that I was given my allotted data on march 28, and that I have already used it all (a horrendous lie), and I wouldn't receive more data until april 27th.
When I asked to speak with her superior, she said she would transfer me, but she then hung up on me, instead.
I am getting no assistance whatsoever!

SafeLink Wireless Safe link needs to be sued class-action

These people are crooks and need to be held accountable for fraud

They charge the US government for services for low income individuals and then will not provide any services

Safe link has low quality employees who by and large cannot speak english very well; cheap labor is the name of that game

One trick these incompetent employees perform is to act very nice, put the phone down next to their keyboard so you can hear it, and then let you think they are helping you when really they are waiting for you to hang up.

The last employee I spoke at safe link told me he was just following orders when I politely asked to have my service restored through this current global virus epidemic; result is still no service and he made me re-apply even though they had everything already replete with uploaded proof.

I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and this phone is my only communication to the outside World.

What they did to me is immoral, illegal, and fraudelent.

I am using this forum not for help from Safe Link Wireless but to expose them.

Believe it!

I have been with safelink since August 2022. I have spent more hours with them using neighbors phones than I have spent on the phone with anyone.

My phone keeps stating "no network connection" and I have to call safelink in order to get connection again. It takes hours and sometimes this happens more than once a day.

The phone the sent me is the poorest quality phone I have owned since cell phones come out. I called them immediately after receiving the phone.

No matter where I go I only have one bar. I have dropped calls. The phone is under the Lifeline and ACP programs.

I was told by safelink they were replacing my phone with a Samsung phone of at least the quality of the original phone. They sent a Blu phone. I never activated it and am trying to return it to them.

When I try to log into my safe it says my phone number is not with safelink. It does not allow me to go in and try to up grade the phone.

A safelink employee said that we can not upgrade the phones although safelink advertise we can.

This company is ripping off the government and leaving disabled, elderly, low income people with no phone service.

I'm a disabled veteran living in Idaho. I live alone on a very limited income. I was approved by lifeli e to receive discounted internet service from safelink. For the first few months I received the discounted rate. And then they almost doubled it. And I'm sure the government is still paying them as well. I have complained and tried to get it sorted. Well not I've been completely disconnected because I can't afford to pay the outrageous rates they are charging me! I agree! They do need to be sued. And they need to have complete transparency so they don't do like they did last time, and just change their name and continue with the same dirty tactics.

Have been having problems with SafeLink for the last year. Spent numerous hours talking with Representatives. Now I don't receive my ACP 25 GB of data. Have to call every month just for them to tell me that they will give me 25 GB courtesy. August 2nd called again because of no data. Was told that I was D enrolled because of non-usage. I use it every month. I have to talk to them. Jump through the hoops and re-enrolled. Was told everything was good and then I would even receive a new phone. Here it is September 3rd. No data and no phone. I want my numerous hour spent with them back. But they are not God so they can't do that. So I want reimbursed monetarily. They need to be sued.

Just another note. Had surgery on 5/11. That evening had a complication, needed to get to ER. Don't have a vehicle, so needed an ambulance. Phone didn't work. Thought I was going to die. By the grace of god a friend stopped by. Lifeline! Death line if it doesn't work. Going downtown on Tuesday (holiday Monday) with my stack of papers, organized with dates, times, names, how many times I was transferred,what was accomplished, (nothing) and giving them to state representatives. No blanket complaint, separate one for each call. FCC,USAC,PPUC,BBB. While I am down there, may as well talk to a few lawyers about 5/11 trauma. Been nothing but nice when dealing with them up to this point. I am done.

SAFLINK should be sued under class action

THEY MADE A DEAL WITH VERIZON as a result of that our phone does not work anymore. THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT AND ARE ASKING CUSTUMER TO buy a new one on their website.

We have been with NO PHONE LINE FOR 3 months and they refuse to send a phone that works THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN BEING PAID BY THE GOVERNMENT TO DO SO>

I am also having a frustrating issue with SafeLink. Recently I received a email from SafeLink and requiring me to get a new sim card because they are switching to Verizon network for better service. I switch the new SIM card and my service is 2 bars and now I have no data service. Been on the phone for almost 2 hours and spoke to 5 or 6 people. I've been transferred several times and have been disconnected a couple times. I finally ask for a supervisor and on hold again with a 30 minute or more wait time. This is insane. Im starting to think this may discrimination because this is a lifeline account.

I too have had problems. Last month my account was closed and after dozens of phone calls resolved only to be closed again April 16! Here we go again...

havent been able to make or receive calls for 3 weeks, over 20 hours on hold and 46 calls, troubleshot my phone with customer service 14 times, tranfered and hung up on so many times i lost count, 4 times i made it to "Higher tech support" had troubleshoot each time then given instruction for phone and said theyd call me in 30 minutes and never called. today its 6pm and i been at it since 8am.

SafeLink Wireless My power button, this is mechanical not software, does not work

I contacted safelink on 3/15/2020 about my power button. I kept telling them that it was not a soft ware problem. They still made me take the battery out. I told them that if did so the phone would not turn on. I took it out and it took me an hour and a half to turn the phone on. My son had to take the back off and manipulate the power button. I do not have the money to replace this phone and I think they should replace the phone. I have yet to get any resolution to this problem Amy Gibbons

SafeLink Wireless Alcatel tli020f1

We have this cell phone with data issues not able to make calls out and unable to receive any calls. Readout: No Cellular Networks available. [protected] that is my phone number having problems with, no service since lasts Year December 18, 2019. We tried for the past few days, spending at about 2hours per-day. After, going through about 5 Tech. server, we asked today to be connected to the manager. An, that happen but with out good results handle up the phone on me, without helping me. That were the third Tech. that left me handing. Today, the last two tech. said that it were dysfunctional and transfer me to another tech, after waiting 68 minutes they had the phone to refer a message about losing phone, file papers to apply for another phone.
The manager that we asked for said, we need
Data update, my phone couldn't do that, gone to Access Point couldn't get any service, some minutes later hung-up the phone. The personal rate 0., very rude. We asked for help and gotten none. SafeLink Wireless Safelink phone complaint

I have a SafeLink phone I don't get pending minutes until the 11 day of the month also I'm using WiFi on phone I turned my data off but when I checked the data it's out, they are stealing data and minutes I can't call, I see if you buy a airtime card they will cheat you out of minutes and data then lie about it I don't like this company they need to be shut down

SafeLink Wireless the alcatel phone got wet and would not charge.

I would like the picture of my actual boyfriend that was on the phone and a couple of other things that were on it if you could do that Jeffery is disabled and he struggles with why people hate me to much and disappears a lot for his own sanity, which is a nice thing. SafeLink Wireless a205g alcatel tracfone

I have a Alcatel A205G tracfone through Safelink and it will not hold charge, shuts off all the time even when it shows that the battery is full, most of the time I don't receive any calls and or texts from family and or my friends, I'm not able to get online or send and receive mms messages, I can barely hear during voice calls on it. You can even see the inside of the phone from the outside of it on the front between the screen and where the numbers meet as its started to come apart in this area. I have had the phone for several years now and honestly it's been a really good phone it's just old and time to get a new phone but I don't have the money for a new one. I don't have to have a smartphone but I do need a phone.

SafeLink Wireless application status

I made out the application approved I than was asked to submit Medicare insurance card I did so and they said it wasnt good enough that I needed SS Disability form, Called SS had them print out the letter and I in turn E-mailed it to safelink, I also sent them 3 utility bills, they asked for all of this but said that the usps didnt match my address and none of this was good enough, they also sent me 2 coupons and I sent them back.I have nothing more to send you.My client number is [protected] Barbara Lampman.I would appreciate someone looking into this

SafeLink Wireless tracfone - alcatel a205g

This phone does not work anymore at all and it is terrible. I desperately need it in case of emergency and for job calls. My cell number is [protected] and I need a free upgrade ASAP PLEASE. IT IS IMPORTANT IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY FOR ME OR FAMILY.

I have to either go outside and roam around to get a signal and when I do I cannot hear or understand. The upper left corner of the phone says E a majority of the time surprisingly yesterday it said G and most of the time V. This is the worst phone ever it I definitely need a new one. I have tried to re-verify and keep getting told I am already re-certified!

SafeLink Wireless customer service

I called with an issue about my data the first rep tried explaining but was missing the issue. I was then transferred to a "supervisor" who over talked me, did not get the issue and he transferred me to an automated line about requesting call log. Once my call was dropped i never got a callback with explanation. I was sadly disappointed in his easily a customer can be tossed away. I am looking for another provider who may appreciate their customers.

SafeLink Wireless reverification

my names is james v brown, enrollment number is [protected] and I have submitted 6 proofs of enrollment which authenticate address, social security number, date of birth, and proof that I am a Missouri medicaid participant as well as the food stamp program. I have called safelink 10 times to ask them what they want and it is always one more thing.
Then half the time an automated response comes back to tell me that my authentic and correct enrollment number is not recognized or the image is not large enough.
Now what do I do?

SafeLink Wireless no satisfying service from live chat

In an attempt to upgrade my phone trough Safelink my original phone was shut off and it turned out that the smartphone I wanted to switch to a Galaxy S 4 wich I was led to believe was compatible with safe-link (it states that on website) well after 2 new SIM cards for whatever reason did not work. Now after 7 days without a phone, (I am a disabled senior) I have been told that my original phone that they shut off can no longer be activated due to technology advances. So I am left without service which I desperately need and no way to call the customer service line. I have been on live chat several for several hours and it always comes down to them telling me to call someone
For some reason no matter how many times I explain, that the phone does not work and I cannot call that is what I am left with.
