PSI Services unethical behavior

I've written a NJ Real Estate salesperson conbo exam on 3Feb. 2016 at one of the PSI exam center in North Brunswick, NJ. During the exam, the fire alarm rang and we were asked to vacate the build which we did. we were outside in sub-freezing temperature for over 35 mins. when came back we were an option given that we can wave the exam and come back some other day. I decided to carry on with writing my exam. After getting my bearing back and almost 3/4 my way of the exam the fire alarm rang again. This time I decided to carry on and complete the remaining exam while high pitch alarm kept ringing. I was not asked for the waiver the second time not I signed any waiver the second time. Making story short I end up failing the exam by two points. I am asking the PSI center to refund my fee due to not providing services for a quality and quite an atmosphere to complete my exam as per paid services. I escalated the issues to the PSI Manager but he insisted not to refund. The point I am making is not passing and failing of my exam. what I am saying is that if I had the liberty of writing my exam under the normal circumstances I might/could have passed the exam but that was not the case. Under the benefit of the doubt, I am sure any other normal exam facility would have refund the fee.

PSI Services testing facility

I too share the opinion that PSI is poorly managed and not customer focused. As I am sitting here on hold, as per usual, my frustration is increasing. So I went to the web and see there are an enormous amount of people who share my exact same frustrations. I started thinking, how can this company still be in business. The answer is actually simple, the consumers are complaining sure, but there true “customers” are the organizations who contract with them for testing management. So, in addition to posting my complaint here. Moving forward I will send a complaint to the organization that has contracted PSI, I will send my complaints each and every time I deem there service is unacceptable. For instance, this morning I have now had to place six (6) calls to try and schedule my next test. Six calls starting at 6AM PST. It is now 7:23 AM PST, I have wasted an hour and 23 minutes waiting on hold. Sadly, I am still on hold and will probably have to call back another 2-3 times before I am even successful in actually scheduling my test. This is not a fluke or one time problem, this happens EVERY single time I have to schedule the next test for my module.

It is absolutely absurd to have to dedicate 2-3 times the time it would take to test for each module into the simple process of scheduling a test. I would recommend that each person reading this review, and each person who posted a review to focus your complaints toward your referring organization. Perhaps these complaints would be taken more seriously if they were coming from the customer that they are profiting from rather than the end customer.

2/4/2016 One of my complaints is about the exam I took on this date. I went through the exam thoroughly 3 times before submitting and I am pretty certain that there were 30 questions on the exam. 30. When I received my results(FAIL) it clearly shows the break up of the test questions and only 25 questions are accounted for. It clearly states that I got 18...

I just took the test for the second time. The first time I took the exam, I failed by a few points. I messaged the school I got my certification from and they suggested I retake the class' online exams in those sections. I did. Repeatedly. Scored at least an 80% on both over the course of two weeks. Consistently. Attended a group cram session hosted by the...

10-14-15 real estate exam test date. On the way to the site got stuck for 40minutes in traffic backed up due to serious car accident. Called customer service to report the situation but could not get through. My complaint is that there should be a way to contact the test site directly in an emergency rather than go thru the 800# which is customer svc purgatory.

PSI Services worst experience ever

Does anyone even monitor this company? On 8/21/2015 my daughter took the CNA skills test through the local community college and was told that only a Visa or MasterCard is accepted. Five days after they took my Visa credit card number, the test results were still on hold "waiting for payment". We call and are told that they don't take Visa but only take Discover or MasterCard. We provide a Discover card number over the phone to somebody named Patrick. Then we're told that they don't take credit card numbers over the phone. So I fax my discover card over, per their instructions. I call to verify receipt and then am told by some woman in Las Vegas or something that I have to mail a money order, after I already gave them 3 separate credit card numbers. I now have to stop 3 credit cards and order new ones because I have no idea why they kept taking my credit card numbers when they claim not take credit cards. Who in 2015 only takes a money order when the rest of the world mostly prefers electronic payments? Are they that worried about $76.00? I'm concerned that they have 3 of my credit card numbers and felt like this was some type of scam.

PSI Services number of questions

I completed the proctor tests for the PA National as well as State, Real Estate Salespersons exams. I have attempted to pass the Sate Exams (National and State) and fell short of the required score on the exam. In the PSI Study Guide, It is listed that I must complete 80 questions for the National portion and 30 for the Sate portion. When taking both attempts, at the PSI testing center, I was given a test with 90 questions for National and 35 questions for the PA State exams. I fee that I was chested out of 15 questions. What can I do?

10 Questions from National exam, and 5 questions from State exam are experimental. They don't make that clear before the test, you kind of have to do your research before you go for your test. They also don't tell you which questions are experimental so its totally possible that if you answer 34 out of 45 questions correctly for the state exam, they might make 5 of your correct answers experimental and disregard them leaving you with 29 Correct answers, and hence failing the test.

PSI Services horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I tried for 7 days straight to get through to a human. I left my name and number for a "24 hour callback". No one ever called. I am very disappointed that in order to take a state exam, this is my only option. This feels unfair. This company is not representing our government the way it was intended I am sure.

PSI Services fraud

Psi state exams is a fraud if Ive ever seen one. I took their real estate salesperson test, confidently knowing I studyied hard and long. Failed. The questions they produce on these tests are absolutely deceiving, usuary, and several other harsh words I don't want to mention. I missed by 6 questions. The proctor tried to insist I retake it the next day at another 56.00. Do I have fool written on my face? without even knowing what I missed or how to restudy for this, why would I give them another 56.00 to fail again? the state needs to do do something about this fraudulent business that is taking good peoples money. Don't even try to tell me I didn't know the material. I did. they will not get anymore of my money.

PSI Services rude

Set up to test @ 9:00am got there 10 to 15 minutes late because of weather & multiple accidents. Drove 2 1/2 hrs. The ladies were very rude. One said, you are late! My boyfriend tried to explain when he was rudely interrupted by the other lady saying, "take off your coat and hang it up!" Then they proceeded to say how booked they were. REALLY! All these testers schedule this. The testing facility can only take so many. I should have recorded these ladies. People are nervous enough coming in there. They don't need to be like that. If they don't like their jobs then they need to stay home. You do not treat people like that. I tested for my insurance license at a different facility and wasn't treated like that. This needs to stop! I will file complaints over & over if this continues. It took a lot for me to not go in there and say something to those unhappy people that work for PSI.

You were late... They said you were late... He did not need to explain because it was not a question... They make these appointments so that they can do the job in a set time otherwise you would not need an appointment...

That said, YOU ARE COMPLAINING BECAUSE YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG THAT MADE THE JOB MORE DIFFICULT...

I have been a proctor for exams and I didn't let people in if they are late because it upsets the other people that are on time...

PSI Services Exam scores

I have taken the PSI Real Estate State Exam 3 times.
I studied from a book that said "Pass the Real Estate Exam the First Time." I studied the material, on all the examinations I took I scored from 85 to 100%. When I took the exam, most of the questions in the exam were not in the material that I studied. Especially the questions that they ask about Miss Utility. Even at that, I still don't believe that I missed 10 questions. I spent countless hours of studied time, and also have previous experience as a real estate agent. They tell you that you have 40 questions on the test, but in taking the test there was 50 questions. When I talked with PSI they informed that the additional 10 questions are not counted against you, and that these questions are asked to get more test questions. But expecting to test on 40 questions, and then there are 50, kind of throws you off a little bit. My first examination I didn't pass, which cost $60.00.

I asked if I could retake the exam. I was informed that I could do it as a walk in the next day at 12:30pm, but it would costs another $60.00, and an additional $15.00 that had to be in a money order. But I shouldn't make it out to anyone. So, that afternoon, I did get a money order for 15.00, left it blank, (paid PSI over the phone the $60.00) and the next day arrived at the PSI Testing Center. The evening and morning before the test, I restudied, also found a resource on the internet on Real Estate Regulations that consists of 84 pages. Studied this also, along with the real estate book that says pass the first time. Arrived at the exam center to take my exam for 12:30pm as a walk in. As I was checked in I was told to make the money order out to PSI.

I took the exam, double checked my answers, and was confident that I had passed. They have a survey at the end of the exam that you take before you get your test score. So being confident I had passed, even though unsure about the Miss Utility questions asked, that where probably 2 questions, I did the survey, gave an excellent score. Ended the test, and didn't pass again. The proctor signed me out, as he did, he wasn't able to choose my name, because an error came up. So the other proctor signed me out, and I informed her, that something wasn't right, because I know that I didn't miss 10 questions. This time I missed it by 2.

I contacted PSI to let them know that there was an error in scoring my exam. I was told that if I would have made a comment on any of the questions than they would be able to do something. That there were no adjustments that could be made. In PSI's bulletin information, it state's, should there be error, which is "rarely". That scores would be adjusted. Meaning that it does happen sometime.

After, awhile I cooled down. My husband encouraged me to retake the exam. This online exam company did cover the material on the exam. So I studied that, along with the regulations that I found on the internet, that also covered material on the exam. I took the exam until I scored 100%. But, still no information on Miss Utility. I did find information about Miss Utility on the internet. Studied that. But, still unsure if it was enough information to cover any questions on the test. So, I took the exam again. Didn't pass. Missed it by 1. On this same computer, the proctor was not able to print out my score, the other proctor had to. I noticed that these were different proctor's than before. I asked what happen to the other proctors, the gentlemen gave me info and stated that they were a husband and wife team. I also informed the proctor, that I know that I didn't miss 10. He encouraged me to try again, since I just missed it by one. I was really upset. Because, I double checked my answers, and knowing in my heart, that I didn't miss 10 questions on the test.

In regards to the questions. in the prep exam book, that I have, it states that you have 3 banking business days, to deposit an earnest money check, but in the other information, that I have, it says 5 banking business days. I went with the 5 banking business days, which seems to be correct according to one of the questions on the 3rd test that I took. $195.00 have been spent on a test that costs $60.00.

I have also sent an email to the President, in regards to this issue.

I didn't read your entire post, but from what I read. I agree that this test is ridiculous.. I studied for days as well and also recieved 89% or higher in the practice tests.. however, when I took the actual test I did pass but I did not feel confident. Towards the end I was feeling defeated. Such poorly worded questions and had questions about amortization and did not even provide the chart. Just makes no sense. Your post is from 2013 and even tho they just re started doing real estate in minnesota again, same situation. I COULD COME UP WITH A BETTER TEST THAT ACTUALLY MATCHES THE MATERIAL!

I passed the first time. Did you take a course? In my state you must take an approved course which I did with Freedom Trail and I used their stuff and Prep agent.youtube videos to study and passed without issue. Not all the study material is current as they claim. Prep agent was spot on.

I’m so glad I’m not the only person questioning this! I’ve spent my entire summer taking the required classes and studying for the exams for Iow Real Estate. Failed the National exam 3 times consecutively by 1 point. How’s that possible? I’ve known the questions and felt confident! Then…bam! Missed it by 1 point, Then again…then again! I think they want my $95 again!

I took the PSI exam to get my license to sell insurance. I studied and just knew I was going to pass but when I got to the testing station and started to take the test a lot of the questions was not what I studied for and most of the answers were reworded a whole other way. My first failing grade was a 78, but as I look on the internet they tell me that 70 is the passing grade to pass the test. I think that this is so unfair to pay for something that you have studied for weeks and just knew that you were going to pass the test and you fail. I think that they should put on the test what they make you pay for. what good is it to take courses and you still fail the test because everything that you studied for wasn't on the test or it was reworded very different? I am so pissed right now because now every time you fail the test you have to pay for it again. So now I'm at the point where I don't know what to study from because the book isn't helping because none of the questions are not in it.

Something isn't right here for sure. I'm so glad I found other people saying the same thing I experienced so I know I'm not crazy. I took the GA real estate exam and I was also completely confident I was going to do totally fine that day and I'm not a good test taker, so that says something that I was feeling confident going in when I'm normally terrified and nervous. I was prepared and I knew it. I made a 97 on the final exam for my course, I purchased a cram course and was able to ace those practice tests, I took exams on other websites and aced those, I purchased the practice exams from PSI and aced that, I studied so hard for this and I knew I was ready. Well, apparently not because unlike all the other exams and tests I had taken where I made a 95 or above, I failed by 2 points. I noticed there were 157 questions and not 152 questions. I also noticed they used words I had never seen in my life and know one of them was NOT a real word at all. and I giggled to myself thinking it must have been an extreme typo. I remembered it started it "aa" and I couldn't remember the word but when I got home I typed aa into dictionary.com and low and behold, there's only a couple of words that start with that and it wasn't one of them. It just wasn't a word, period. There were questions that were completely unintelligible and impossible to make out what they were asking. I couldn't have answered them correctly because they made absolutely no sense. The notion that they just throw extra questions in there for whatever reason they came up with and they don't count against you is ridiculous. For one thing, the GA RE commission governs the questions on the exam, they say it's 152 questions, and if they are just tossing in extra questions, then that needs to be looked into. I really think they use those extra 5 questions to replace 5 other questions you answered correctly to give them a better chance to fail anyone that is right on the cusp of passing, so they can make more money off people having to re-take the exams. I reported this to the GA Secretary of State today (because after looking at the Commission's website, I couldn't figure out who else to report it to). If I fail my second attempt I'm letting the whole thing go a lawyering up. This sounds like it's happening to too many people all over the country and a class action needs to be filed against them to give the test takers back their money for the exams, practice exams, and to compensate us for the course we had to take and the opportunity to be working and making money.

Wow! This just happened to me in Ga. Failed by 3 points. Out of 157 questions

The test before this 161 questions. The first 152 questions. This has to be a scam! You only get 240 minutes in the first place. How can they just give all these additional questions that takes away time for you do any review or missed questions it’s unethical and seems like a ploy to get money. This needs to be investigated immediately or they need paper test. A.I is holding people’s lives in their hands. SMH

I can almost relate to your complaint
I also feel something is wrong with the scoring system. The residential builder exam is an open book test and supposed to have 110 questions but they give you 120. I took the test 3 times and failed miserably all 3 times. The first time I studied an online course that had questions not on the test and I had the wrong code book. I knew I failed before I finished. Only got 40 out of 120

The second time I had the correct code book and got 28 more questions right and was 8 away from obtaining a passing score. 77

The 3rd time, I took a 2 day seminar to prep me had all tabs and highlighted items in my books and was very confident I would pass. I failed again missing 8 more questions than I did on the previous test. The residential builder test is open book and I literally looked up the answers to 80% of my questions to confirm they were correct. So in the worst case scenario I would have gotten an 80 only needing a 77 to pass. I failed scoring a 60
I got a 60 when I know I got atleast 80 right because I was able to find the answers in the books. This tells me something is very wrong with the scoring system or the answers in the book don't match what they have. It's hard for me to believe I missed 60 questions when I looked up and confirmed 80. I will definitely be on the phone Tuesday morning calling PSI because this is ridiculous.

PSI Services noise

I went for the second time to take my real estate exam which i missed last time by one question! The entire time during the exam the proctor was literally having a party in the waiting area the entire time! The whole time we were trying to take the test there was shouting, laughing and all kinds of CONSTANT loud and disruptive noise. I even put in the ear plugs and could still hear them! Needless to say we couldn't concentrate at all! I failed AGAIN by 1 damn question! I was doing the compucram at 85 and 90% last night and having no problems! This was very unprofessional and a waste of my money!

The staff are completely rude. I felt like I was at a boot camp or jail instead of taking a board exam. Noone need to be talked to the way they did. We are paying money for an important exam. Being nervous as this is a huge deal. I have tested at other places similar and was not treated this way at other places. They need to be taught how to talk and treat people!

PSI Services you all are crazy

My fiance took the electrical test thru PSI a few weeks ago. We had read all these complaints on how no one ever passed this test on the first try. It made him a little nervous and thought just maybe he would not pass. Well, the first time he took it, he DID pass the exam. So for anyone reading this who is fixing to go take a test, don't read all the complaints and get discouraged because when it comes down to it, it is all based on what you know and what you don't know.

PSI Services real estate exam

I dealt with psi now for the past like 4 months now nothing but headaches. I have a learning problem. They think its funny and its a game 2 managers laughed i got a retake test free from that but not they having problem with state law thinking its not really a law for people disabled. I told them willing to show any and all proper paper work they said no. We can only do this for you half what i need, lucky i get some help. but state law demands school and testing to help out much as possible. Psi is a joke...if you are looking for any schools that need testing after check if psi is it if so do not take the course i am warning you.. plus other headache things i can add put would make this post way to much

This test is a scam! I passed 5 practice exams that the state said would be almost identical to the exam once I took the exam THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE QUESTION FROM MY COURSE OR FROM THE PRACTICE exams I had trouble logging into the exam and once I was half way done I got disconnected… once I called them they said “they will be investigating it” and I will get a call within 3 days. Total scam how none of the questions I studied and memorized were on the exam.

PSI testing system is an absolute scam. My daughter took the real estate class during her summer break from college; however trying to take the real estate licensing exam has been a total nightmare! Her online testing proctor had her go through the secure environment protocol; then instructed her to show her cell phone and place it behind her. The proctor watched her place the phone behind her. Nine questions into the exam, a "cell phone detection" notice covers the screen and terminates the test. My daughter called PSI to asked what happened. They told her she was terminated for cellphone detection. She explains she knows that but her cellphone was placed out of reach and not used. They inform her that an investigation will have to be done and will take 3 days. She calls in 3 days to be informed that the investigation determined there was cellphone detection; however does not explain what other than cellphone use could possibly trigger a cellphone detection. There's no way the proctor saw her using her cellphone because it is behind her where she was instructed to put it. No evidence has been provided of cellphone usage; just that there was cellphone detection. If no cellphone is being used, what is being detected? The proctor cellphone? The cellular powered home security? What? There is absolutely no accountability and no reasonable recourse with this company. You're at the mercy of their word. I am beginning to believe, by looking at their horrible reviews, that they have rigged this system towards milking people out of their money requiring them to pay for multiple tests. I cannot believe that this totally incompetent system is the ONLY facilitator for real estate exams. The most horrendous thing is that you have to deal with PSI's incompetence until the real estate commission realizes this company is problematic and unethical.

Having just taken the sales person exam for the 2nd time in New Hampshire I can attest to the fact that these are set up for failure. First time around, 2 points off (state) 3 points off (national), this second time…1 point off (national) and 2 points off (state). There’s so many questions with either 2 or 3 answers that could be considered correct. Beyond annoyed, but a little relieved to see that I’m certainly not the only one that feels that way. Also in all my networking I’ve yet to come across someone who passed their first time.

I’m not sure what to do as I felt very prepared this time around, but to no avail. Luck of the draw? Maybe round 3 is the number.

I totally agree that these tests are rigged for failure. I have take the test twice and failed. The first time I thought I just needed to study more so I did hours of preparation and thought I was ready. I was so shocked when I saw the Fail again that I think my brain was in shock for the rest of the day. I was embarrassed to tell my family and husband that I had failed again. I had a deep feeling that something was just not right. Some of the questions have no answer that make any sense! I am so glad to find this page where other people are having the same issues and concerns as now I know I am not crazy. This failure time and again is emotional and draining. I don't know whether to try again or not at this point. I have a good career in Health Insurance I just thought dabbling in Real Estate would be interesting. Maybe the third time is the charm. Perhaps that their break even point where they have made enough money off of you to finally pass you! Sleepless in Oregon!

@clairecastagno, I'm also in MA. Same position here. I'm just going for a Sales licence, but at this point I feel like I may know more than some seasoned sales associates out there (only because I have so much done so much studying haha) I am beyond frustrated at this point. When I called about the multiple correct answers, and even stating that I understand the "which one is the best philosophy", all I got back was "it is what it is". Really? I also keep getting the same score over and over. I don't understand how nothing can be done about this?

PSI sucks. I am so pissed off. I am in MA and took my Broker's exam today. Failed both portions, 65% and 60%. It is such ###. at least 85% of the questions asked had 2 correct answers - I understand there's only one BEST answer, but when they are BOTH the same, how the heck do you choose? When I called to complain I was told I was able to "comment" on the questions if I thought there were multiple answers, or none were correct, and that if I failed I could use those questions to dispute it. Well foolish me didn't read that in the tutorial before starting the test, well, because lets face it I know how to use a computer and was anxious to just begin the test. I honestly would have spent all my time commenting on their questions being so screwed up that I would have run out of time to answer any questions! I'm so pissed off, I studied so much and know all of the information, there is no reason other than being tricked that I didn't pass. I will be calling my state board tomorrow and complaining about PSI and the test, because it's ridiculous that the are intentionally trying to trick you. Seems like a big scam to me.

Replying to comment of Claire Castagno

@clairecastagno, I just failed my general retake for the 7th time. Even with more studying, I have a strange feeling that the more I study, and the more times I take the exam, the harder the questions become. Went from three 46% results to 58% in less than a year. I know my stuff. And I couldn’t believe the questions. Didn’t match the material on their practice exams. Which I aced. Which I had to use my credit card to take again.

My landlord (who is a state rep) couldn’t get through to them. And that’s saying a lot. I guess I’ll just have to keep guessing, studying and rescheduling until either I get lucky and pass, or watch my dreams go up in smoke come March. I’m so lost just like everyone.

On and the proctors were making fun of me in the exam and mocking my disability. Keep laughing, guys. I’ll find a way.

PSI - Is a total scam. I have 2 masters degree, TOP of my class. I have been processing Real Estate titles work for over 20 Years. When it comes to PSI and taking the Exam, its always 2-4 points you fails by. The computer will not allow me to go back and answer the questions. NOT TO MENTION the person they hire to proctor -- DOESN'T HAVE a clue about Computers and can't answer why the computer is having technical difficulties... END RESULT, BOTTOM LINE. PAY TO RETAKE AND GET THE SAME RESPONSE...

I WILL be contacting WASHINGTON DC...PSI is the only game in town so they are allowed to do anything...ITS ILLEGAL, SCAM, FRAUD and EXTORTION.

I NEED HELP TO OPEN MY OWN TESTING CENTER TO COMPETE.

I THOUGHT AMERICA WAS SUPPOSE TO KEEP BUSINESSES HONEST - Oh, except for the GOV't..

PSI Services test facility

WARNING !
Please read the following facts before dealing with these con men.

NRED confirms that PSI Test Center is the only game in town. Can you say "kick backs" ?!
Secretary of State/Nevada can not confirm certain CEO licences. Nor do they care...
PSI will not acknowledge any study sources, and/or outside learning material. They compose the testing, and grade it themselves. You basically take the test based on outside entity materials unrelated to the actual exam. Exams and pass/fail statistics are not published. If you fail, they don't tell you why. You receive a one page print out on what you allegedly were tested on. WITH NO PROOF. You basically pay for a service and leave empty handed.
Test questions are based on semantics, and speculation, only half are factual.
They publish NO information what so ever. You go in blind, an leave frustrated less the $100 test fee.
They make more money on failed tests because of the return rate, and fact that they have no competition.

I found this opportunity on Craigslist and applied then went to the orientation, a few minutes into the presentation came how much pay you will make $300 to infinity. Well I said I don't want to discuss money I want the facts and he presumed with the outline. The company is called "Metro Public Adjustment Inc." which is under PSI Services LLC. The testing and incensing and registration with the state costs somewhere about $350 dollars to get going, doesn't sound bad doesn't it? I researched the responsibilities for developing a payed "commission" YOU have got to go out and fetch the clients and convince them they could get more on a claim then their insurance company would bring? This is nuts a total 3rd party rip off on insurance companies doing a complete job 5 to 20 times more than the insurance company would pay, that will raise the cost to the home owner. They say your premiums would not increase. This challenge to convince home owners to take this approach is very difficult and scandalous position to take. If YOU are a unconscionable type of person go for it, for me I live a clean life with no regrets.

PSI Services not accepting gov id

PSI wouldn't allow me to take exam with model I provided because examining proctor refused to accept models Government Issue Identification. But under PSI guidelines It's stated that a Government issue identification is acceptable. PSI is robbing the State of Texas, solely because I have to reschedule my exam and pay an additional 78.00 dollars which the state is paying for through the Department of Assisted Rehabilitative Services. They are only concern with taking money and not following state guidelines for examination procedures.

PSI Services rip off

PSI Seminars are a rip off and they destroy families and friendships. My sister has been brain washed by them. She has just ended a 10+yr relationship one that she told me just 6 mos. ago was the best thing she ever had in her life. Now she has walked away from it..destroyed our family with her new attitude towards all of us….spent upwards of $30, 000. towards ‘healing’….and it isn’t stopping….these groups need to be stopped…they are racking in the money and destroy many lives along the way….they aren’t helping them at all they are taking their money and making them believe everything they say is ‘gospel’….one of their lessons is ‘if a loved one won’t come with you …won’t find the money to pay for these seminars…then you need to walk away from them and find someone who will…”….I once loved my sister….now I can’t stand to be around her….and if she ever talks to or treats our 81 yr old mother again the way she did….God help her.

PSI Services electrical exam test site

took the electrical exam the first time with the 2011 code book and failed it. I scheduled the second test weeks later and the same 2 ladies that checked my book the first time said i was not allowed to use the 2011 code book on the test. they said either take the test without the book or loose my money. I would not only be loosing my my for the test but also a day off of work and gas to drive to and from. I lived about 35 miles form the psi test site. I had no choice to take the test and hope that i would pass it. I had no book or charts so needless to say i failed it a second time. I called the psi headquarters in utah and they basically said there wasn't anything they could do about it. I think its wrong for what they did and i am out all this money because of there mistake. They sure know how to rob you thats for sure. $78 dollars each time and now i have to go a third time and pay for it again and i may need to buy a 2008 code book. Really, how much of a differance is there between the too books.

PSI is a monopoly - plain and simple! How can a "testing" agency tell me I am not qualified to work out of my local IBEW Union hall, when I have completed their 5 yr apprenticeship program, earned my Journeyman's card, have 35+ yrs. experience - I even have a valid C-10 license and PSI, with their ambiguous and unrelated and strange question test test fails me... Ha - really!?! Another $200.00 down the drain! I should have never let it expire, but I didn't need it with a C-10 Contractors license and didn't see the point in paying $125 every 2 years and showing proof of continued education in my field. What a bunch of HOG WASH! SO now after 20 years of contracting on my own I've decided I want to deactivate (put on hold) my license and work out of the Union Hall to pay bills & feed my family, but this crazy totalitarianistic testing company who is a octopus to ALL it can FORCE to it's mercy (even beauticians now have now come under it's radar) can tell me I failed and remit another $200.00 after 2 mos. of waiting - This is a travesty!
