How responsive is Popeyes's customer service?

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Popeyes handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Popeyes and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Popeyes Order not correct

On 7/1/23 at 4:45pm at Popeyes location 3262 address 6400 Baltimore national pike md21228 I placed an order totaling 35.03. I ordered a popcorn shrimp meal for my soon the popcorn shrimp where hard and over cooked he was unable to eat them. I order the new honey bbq wing for myself in the quantity of 6 and only received 4 pieces instead of 6. My family really likes Popeyes and this order was a disappointment and I did not want to travel back to the restaurant when I like 15 minutes away.

Desired outcome: I would like to get some type of compensation gift card or anything to try the wings again as well as get my son some better shrimp

Popeyes Overcharged, checked bank, account for transaction, no receipt given

06/29/2023 Popeyes at 4493 Commercial Way, Springhill, Fl. 34606. My husband & I stopped for dinner after a busy day, about 8:20 PM. Checked bank acct for transaction charged. We ordered 5 piece chicken strips w/ no sides, 3 piece dinner w/ side, and 2 small drinks. according to menu prices on line, total should have been $14.46 + tax. food was not hot. Our bank was debited $28.05. This is ridiculous.

Tried calling 4 times, phone just rings & rings. No answer. I have the transaction on bank statement of the charge. Was Not given any receipt. Management needs to be notified. Not happy at all. We are seniors in our 70's, w/ social security as our only income. Will never go there again.

Desired outcome: Please refund, would appreciate a timely response.

Popeyes Management problems

I had problems with a Popeyes store and I was contacted by direct manager, Joseph Martinez. The gentlemen listened to me and said "a credit will be posted back to my credit card. Said it may take a few days", and he apologized for my experience.

This was on May 25, 2023 it is now June 29, 2023 and I have not received that credit. And no one answers the number Joe Martinez left me.

This compliant was for store #12448, Santa Rosa NM

ticket ID; [protected], dated 5/24/2023

Desired outcome: I would like the credit that was promised me and someone to apologize.

Popeyes My entire experience & how I was treated by the workers

First I was charged extra for something that I didn’t want. The lady heard me but she still went ahead & charged me. When she admitted to not hearing me, she then lied to me about the price difference for the item that I wanted in the first place. While I was waiting for my food to be ready, the manager Jessi, was angrily throwing my food in the bag & was trying to rush me out the store being disrespectful. I feel like she was being racist & discriminating towards me. When I tried to ask her what her problem was with me, she responded very nasty saying im not allowed to come back to the store & that she’s busy & she’s doesn’t want to talk to me. It was a terrible experience & I don’t appreciate how I was being treated.

Popeyes Customer service

Why are the Popeye locations on Rice Street and the one on University Ave in St. Paul, Mn still closed to the public?

It's been 3 years now since the doors were closed in 2020 and the mandate has been lifted, so why are people still told to stand in line behind cars to order food?

Its not okay! Everyone doesn't have a car and people should be able to walk into a restaurant to order food.

This needs to be addressed, I'm not sure if they are doing this at Popeye location in Maplewood but if so, they need to stop.

This is bad business, and needs to be addressed. If you are elderly or on the bus or train and you decide you want to go to Popeye's, before heading home you will stand behind cars and wait your turn.

Disgusting customer relations and service to the community.

Desired outcome: Yes, I want to know why?

Popeyes Popeye's in Kennewick, WA

June 26 I went to the local Popeye's for takeout for two. (note: we tried this place when it opened, the food was terrible, but we thought maybe just opening, they had some wrinkles to workout. Tried it later again terrible, and the people were untrained or didn't care about customer service. (note: we ate at Popeye's in Huntsville, AL and all over the south, great service good food.)

Today I was told that they didn't have any white meat cooked. Keep in mind that it is 5:30PM and there was no one in the eating area and one car in the takeout and it didn't even smell like chicken was cooking.

Close it, it is giving Popeyes a bad name.

Popeyes Locked doors in the middle of the day for dine in.

Third time to this location at mid-day and the walk-in section is closed, only drive through is available. Then I sat in a long line anyway and ordered ghost pepper wings, $5, get to the window and ask why they are always closed, she tells me no coverage in employees. Then I give her $10, no change back. She said I gave you 12 wings, YOU ADVERTISE 6 wings for $5, and the huge sign on the building show it. I will never go back to this ghetto store again. Or Popeyes for that matter, Sorry to try to patronize your business. Burned three times straight.

Desired outcome: Do not care, you lost my forever

Popeyes Unauthorized use of personal funds, attempt to steal information

2:30 June 24th, a Saturday - they weren't busy at all mind you.

This popeyes is scamming cards. The manager is in on it too and plays stupid. Beware your card! At the drive thru today I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, was told to pull around. Gave associate my card. She brought back the food quickly in about 10 seconds - with no receipt - then walked off with my card. I got the card back a full 30 seconds later as she was holding the whole card in her palm with the 3d numbers face down. She was smirking at me as she dropped it in my hand. I've had my card ripped off in a drive thru before. She was tracing the numbers. Told the manager to watch her and I get back defensive screeching and was told she had no idea what she was talking about after I watched the manager as she was standing there - watching the associate take my card. I called the store later, asking for any information about the store's owner. If I could please have district manager's name and phone number. I didn't even say anything about a complaint - but immediately the associate on the phone played stupid and pretended she didn't know what I was saying. She didn't understand what "manager" or "phone number" meant. She gave me the store number as 12356 and said "oh no I don't know nothing". I explained that a subpeona would be the only other way I could get that information - including transaction that I paid - which suddenly exposed that she didn't even have an accent the entire time! And understood exactly what I was saying!

Hola Jennifer! I speak Spanish too! LOL

Desired outcome: Please refund me, give me some kind of apology and while you're at it fire Jennifer and the drive thru girl (who didn't have a nametag on)! She is a liar, a horrible manager and totally unprofessional!

Popeyes Using wi-fi service

Hello I reported this store the first time after their stupid manager told me to get up and get out because supposedly I was sitting in here for too long, first things first I wasn’t I was only in there for an hour and a half using the wi-fi he had the nerve and said I was in here for 3 hours I don’t understand why he said that… the workers act like they don’t realize they have public wi-fi… they make new rules and take it out on other customers… I live around the neighborhood i’m not a crackhead I don’t bother anyone and I always prove I don’t bother anyone the manager who is a male was very rude to me… every time I order the blackened chicken sandwich they always tell me I have to wait, I will admit I did started being rude a little to them because of how rude the manager was to me after he told me to get out… for godsake I was on my phone using the internet I was in here for an hour and a half and people come and go in here people do sit in here but hardly… he exaggerated and said I was in here for 3 hours and I wasn’t… so yes after that situation I did started being rude to them a bit but even that i’m still nice…

Desired outcome: Let people sit inside and use the internet look with their damn eyes and realize not everyone is terrorizing them… especially people like me who do what they have to do and move on..

Popeyes Disappointing Experience at Popeyes: Misleading Signs, Poor Customer Service, and Unprofessionalism

On the evening of October 10, 2022, I made my way to Popeyes' restaurant located on W. Evans St. I was excited to try out their signature meal, but unfortunately, my experience was not what I had hoped for.

Firstly, I found that the signs and coupons within the restaurant were not clear about the details of the meal. It was either a misrepresentation of taxes or the items that were supposed to be included in the signature meal were not clearly stated. This left me feeling confused and disappointed.

Furthermore, the customer service and professionalism at this particular Popeyes' location were lacking. It seems that the youth of today are unfamiliar with the meaning and context of these words. As a hard-working individual, I was looking forward to a satisfying meal, but instead, I was left feeling annoyed and frustrated.

The display on the wall for the 2 pc signature box included 2 pieces of chicken, a drink, a dessert, and two sides. However, I did not receive my desserts, and when I approached the manager (Lee), he refused to give it to me. This was unacceptable, and it left me feeling even more disappointed.

To make matters worse, I was charged tax for a "free" meal with a coupon. This was not indicated on the receipt, and it left me feeling cheated.

It is important for management to understand that their businesses are closed without satisfied customers. The customer is always right, and the manager's remarks were appalling and nonchalant. This is not a good look for the company, and it left me feeling disrespected.

In conclusion, I hope that Popeyes' management takes note of these issues and works towards improving their customer service and professionalism. It is important to ensure that customers feel valued and respected, and that their needs are met. I hope that my experience will help to bring about positive change within the company.

Popeyes Terrible Customer Service Experience at Popeyes in Fort Smith AR on Zero St

I have a story to share about my recent visit to Popeyes on 1-6-2023, located in Fort Smith AR on Zero St. When I arrived, there was a long line, but luckily, two people gave up their spot in the drive-thru, so I was able to move up. However, when I finally got to the ordering window, there was a sign that said to pull up to the next window. I waited for 20 minutes before finally getting to the next window.

I was ordering three meals for my office, and I had coupons for each of them. However, the employee informed me that they could only accept one coupon per order. I explained to her how long I had been waiting in line, but she still refused to accept more than one coupon. I asked to speak to her manager, but she gave me the same answer. Finally, I was able to speak to the general manager, but even she was unhelpful. I asked for the phone number of her supervisor, but she refused to give it to me and claimed that she was the GM. I expressed my frustration and called her a "horrible general manager," to which she responded by telling me to leave and calling me a derogatory name.

I am not writing this review to receive any perks from Popeyes. In fact, after this experience, I am completely done with this company. I wouldn't accept anything from them even if they offered it to me. I will share this story with everyone I know because I believe that it's important to speak up when we receive poor customer service. While I know that my experience won't put Popeyes out of business, I refuse to stay silent.

Popeyes Disappointing Experience at Popeyes Greenwood: Long Wait, Incomplete Order, and Poor Service

I recently placed an online order for pickup at the Popeyes in Greenwood. The website instructed me to go through the drive-thru and give my name to pick up my order. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I was told by the drive-thru speaker to come inside. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by seven staff members who seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. The five adult women working there were doing the bare minimum, and it was clear that they didn't care if anyone got their food or not.

I waited for over 30 minutes with five other customers for my order. I wouldn't have continued to wait, but I had already paid $43 for my order online. When I finally received my order, it was incomplete. However, after waiting for 50 minutes at the store for my online order, I decided it wasn't worth going back in to get my missing items.

I understand that the world is short-staffed right now, but this wasn't a staffing issue. It was a work issue that resulted from a lack of organization and poor work ethic. The only reason I gave one star is because the food I did receive was pretty good. However, I won't be returning to this location. It's not worth almost an hour wait and only getting half the food I paid for. I will be very surprised if they stay in business with this level of service.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at Popeyes. The lack of organization and poor work ethic of the staff made for a frustrating and unpleasant experience. While the food was good, it wasn't worth the long wait and incomplete order. I hope that the management at this location takes steps to improve their service and organization, or they may not be in business for much longer.

Popeyes Disastrous Experience with Popeye's and Doordash Delivery Service: A Review

So, I gotta tell ya about my experience with Popeye's. I was feelin' like some good ol' fried chicken, so I decided to order from their website. Little did I know, they use Doordash for their delivery service. Now, I ain't gonna lie, I was a little skeptical 'bout using a third-party delivery service, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

I placed my order and was told it would be delivered in about 25 minutes. I was gettin' pretty excited 'bout my chicken, but then 25 minutes turned into 45 minutes and still no sign of my food. I was startin' to get a little worried, so I decided to give Doordash a call.

After waitin' on hold for what felt like an eternity, I finally got through to someone. They told me that the driver was on their way and should be there any minute. Well, any minute turned into another hour and still no food. I was gettin' pretty frustrated at this point, so I decided to call Doordash again.

This time, I got a different person on the line who told me that the restaurant had closed and my order couldn't be fulfilled. I was pretty upset 'bout this, but then the driver called me. He thought he was callin' Doordash corporate, but he ended up talkin' to me instead.

He told me that he had been waitin' in line for half an hour only to find out that the restaurant had closed. I couldn't believe it! I was so angry that I had wasted my time and money on this. Doordash support called me almost 3 hours later to tell me that they had a second driver waitin' to pick up my order at Popeyes. I was so confused! Why would they even attempt to deliver 3 hours later?

I told them that I had made other arrangements and to cancel the order. They did cancel it, but they couldn't or wouldn't process the refund. I was so frustrated with Doordash at this point. I felt like I was bein' sent in circles tryin' to get my money back.

Overall, I gotta say that my experience with Popeye's and Doordash was a complete disaster. I wouldn't recommend usin' either of them if you want to avoid the headache and frustration that I went through.

Popeyes Terrible Service and Lack of Change at Popeyes in Philadelphia - 1 Star Review

stars.

I recently visited a Popeyes location in Philadelphia, specifically the one located at Broad and Champlost Street, right across from the 35th district. I ordered my meal and my total came out to $6.42. However, the manager who was on the register gave me back only 15 cents instead of the 58 cents that was owed to me. When I questioned him about it, he pointed to a sign that stated they didn't have change because the bank did not have it.

Now, I understand that businesses may sometimes run out of change, but customers should not have to cover the cost of a full operating business because of it. We wouldn't be able to walk into an establishment and ask for food if we didn't have the money to cover the cost. It's the store's responsibility to take on the cost of the change shortage.

When I let the manager know this, he became defensive and started placing my items in the containers aggressively. I stopped him and asked for a refund because I don't have to accept just any kind of service when I am spending my hard-earned money. However, he was rude and would not give me his name or the store's identification number.

When I asked for his name and store ID number, he was dismissive and stated that I didn't need it. When I asked another employee for the information, he informed me that the manager was Italian and couldn't pronounce his name, even though it was clear that he was African American and spoke fluent English.

Overall, my experience at this Popeyes location was terrible, and I will not be returning. If I didn't have to submit stars to submit this review, it would be zero stars.

Popeyes Disappointing Experience at Popeye's Chicken: Missing Order and Spicy Food Mix-Up

I went to Popeye's Chicken last night to grab some dinner. It was around 5:00 pm, and the traffic was crazy. I knew it was my fault for going at that time, but I was craving some delicious chicken. When I got to the counter, I asked the guy if the shrimp was spicy because I can't handle spicy food. He said it wasn't, so I ordered the Shrimp Basket. I also ordered an 8-piece Classic all Dark Chicken. When I got to the window to pay, I was told to pull up and wait for about 15 minutes. I was surprised because I thought this was fast food. A lady pulled up behind me, and she was also told to pull over and wait for her food. There were no other cars in the parking lot, and we were the only two customers.

When I got home, I realized that my order was missing. I guess it was the other lady's order that I had. I called them, and they apologized and asked me to come back to get my order. I was annoyed because I had to drive through traffic again, but I wanted my dinner. When I got there, they had my order waiting for me. However, when I got home, I realized that everything was spicy, not Classic like I had ordered. I was so angry because I can't eat spicy food. I had no Friday night dinner, and I was so disappointed.

If I had called them again and made another trip to get a correct order, it would not have been pleasant. I could have understood this if they were super busy, but it was just me and one other customer. I had to put some Chicken Pot Pies in the oven for dinner. I am so done with Popeye's Chicken! I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon.

Popeyes Delicious Food at Popeyes: A Solid 8/10 Review

Popeyes is a solid 8/10 in my book. The service was just okay, but the food was absolutely delicious. Let me start by talking about the chicken cheese biscuit. It was so buttery and crispy at the same time, and the flavor was amazing. The cheese was cooked to perfection, and the fresh jalapeño cheddar added just the right amount of spice. It was definitely a winner in my book.

For an appetizer, I tried the Parmesan fruit nuggets, and they were something else. The fruity cheesy crisp was reminiscent of fruit loops, and it was absolutely delicious. And let's not forget about the cum loaded French fries. They were slimy and salty and peppery all at the same time, and they were just perfect.

For breakfast, I had the scrambled eggs mixed with hot sauce, buttery bacon, and nutmeg milk. It was all perfectly balanced, and the buttery bacon was better than my dead grandmother's tortillas. It was that good.

And for dessert, I ordered the Great Bambino, which was a combination of peanut butter, jelly, crumbled Oreos, ice cream, and a half gallon of cheeseeeeeeeeee. It was absolutely fantastic, and words can't even describe how good it was.

The only downside to my experience at Popeyes was one of the servers named Fat Holly. She was very rude and smelled like an elephant's queef, which made me want to leave. But other than that, the food was amazing, and I would definitely recommend giving Popeyes a try.

Popeyes Terrible Customer Service at Santa Maria Popeye's Location

I had a really bad experience at the Santa Maria location of Popeye's. The lady who took our order was really rude and didn't seem to care about customer service at all. Our order was completely wrong and she didn't even bother to repeat it or try to explain or upsell. We asked for the deluxe sandwich and the order came out basic. The fries were offered half empty and when I asked her to put the proper quantity, she said no because the other two orders were full. I said no, I need all to be the same, but she still insisted on no. When the conversation started to get loud, another gentleman came and politely apologized and offered new fries.

I was really upset because first the order was wrong and then the lady's attitude was not right. She sounded arrogant and rude. At the end of my meal, I asked the manager about the location name because I wanted to write a review. He asked what was wrong and I explained what exactly happened. But the lady insisted on saying that she did me a favor by initially putting extra fries. I said I'm not getting free food to do me a favor. I paid for what I ordered and you got me the wrong order because you don't have customer service skills or upselling skills. It would be better for you to learn from your other colleagues. She replied loudly and in a rude way that she didn't want to learn from anyone.

I left the location very upset because it started to get busy and I didn't want to be embarrassed in front of other guests. There was no point in complaining to someone who wasn't ready to listen. I'm not sure why the service was so bad this time. Maybe it was because my wife was wearing a hijab and we were treated like this because of it. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience at Popeye's and I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

Popeyes Incompetent Staff and Poor Customer Service at Popeye's Chicken on Cobb Parkway

I recently visited Popeye's Chicken on Cobb Parkway, store #***, order #39. I can't quite remember if the cashier's number was displayed on the receipt, but I do remember spending just under $20. I ordered two different combos - a four-piece and a two-piece - each with a drink. However, I was charged an extra $.70 for each drink, even though they were supposed to be included in the combo! When I complained at the pickup window, I was told that they didn't have the drink that came with the combo. I was pretty upset because they should have told me beforehand and not charged me for something they didn't have. I believe that any substitution that would have to be charged should have been passed by me first before they charged me. It's not right to charge me extra without my consent. Unfortunately, there was no offer to refund my money.

But the problem didn't end there. When I got home with my orders, there was only one order separated into two boxes! I called to complain, but I was asked for my "access code." I had no idea what that was, and the call was disconnected. I called another number from online, but the same thing happened. It's frustrating dealing with fast-food places with non-working numbers and lazy or overworked employees who don't care about customer service.

However, there was a bright spot. When I drove the three miles back to complain, I was met by a manager who was very empathetic. He couldn't believe what had happened when he saw that my order was nothing but a cold bag of fries. The fries weren't even mine to begin with! They had been included with my son's order as a second side, which he hadn't even ordered. My order had been left off entirely except for the drink! The manager did his best to rectify the situation and make me a happy customer. I have to give him credit for dealing with such an incompetent staff and doing his best to keep his customers happy and coming back! I wonder who hired the employee because it seems like there's a big difference between management and employees.

Popeyes Popeye's Chicken: A Traumatizing Experience for My Daughter and Our Family

I gotta say, I had a really bad experience with Popeye's Chicken. I didn't want to write this review, but I gotta do it to save other people from what my daughter went through. She's only 16 and she was so excited to start working there part-time. But things quickly went downhill. On her second day, she told me that a man was staring at her and making her uncomfortable. I went to the restaurant to talk to the manager, but my daughter didn't see me. I saw the man walk up to her and she looked really uncomfortable. Later, I saw him and another man smiling at her like they were hungry dogs. It was disgusting.

I talked to the manager and she said that the man was her uncle and that he was just playing with my daughter. But then my daughter's hours got cut and she was only working on weekends. I asked her if anything else had happened and she said no. But then one night, my daughter was cleaning the bathrooms and the manager's uncle walked in and held her down. He threatened her and hurt her really badly. My daughter told the manager what happened, but the manager didn't do anything. She just told my daughter to go home and that she would check on it in the morning.

I called the corporate office and they didn't do anything either. It took them weeks to call me back and when they did, they just wanted to have a meeting with my daughter and me. They fired my daughter and didn't do anything about the man who hurt her. They even gave her paychecks to the manager instead of giving them to her directly.

My daughter is traumatized and she's not the same person anymore. She's afraid of men and she's not doing well in school. I had to pay for her counseling because my insurance wouldn't cover it. This Christmas was the first time my kids didn't get any gifts because I had to pay for my daughter's counseling. It's not fair and it's not right. Popeye's Chicken needs to take responsibility for what happened to my daughter and make sure it never happens again.
