Pick n Pay unclear floor plan

Good day

The Pick n Pay Florida has an unclear display plan, finding food items at this store is difficult, and it doesn't make sense to put a cleaning isle in-between food isles. Its best that cleaning or toiletries be at the end no between food items.

The store is small and sometimes not as clean as desired. Can the manager also invest to putting people on all tills the services as not the best and it takes a person forever to leave especially on weekends and month-ends.

Can you invest on getting security because when going-in or leaving the store their are numerous buggers at the door which gives an uncertain feeling.

It is also doesn't make sense that when trying to buy baby items such as milk you need to go to a front counter in order to purchase those goods and leave you groceries to pay for it separate.

Lastly i would like to thank your packers for trying by all means to ensure all shelves are full however place make sure that the items have pricing at all times before packing is done.

Pick n Pay service and product

I have been trying for weeks to redeem my stamps for the vivo dish that you get with 70 stamps. Today I called centurion hyper as I've been doing since last week. They had said they will receive stock on Friday 9 August. Since then I've called daily. Today they put me through to customer service and the lady was so rude. She asked me what kind of solution do i expect from her if there's no stock.
I have literally been going to that hyper for months. Collecting stamps and everytime they got stock of dishes they only had the 50 stamps or 60 stamps and they keep saying they don't stock. This is very annoying . You need to fix this ..you make people idiots and they collect stamps only to get nothing at the end.

Pick n Pay bully beef

Good day. This is not a complaint. its a query. I bought 5 tins of PNP bully beef. On the lid under the wrapping is a date 09/01/19 00:05, but at the bottom of the tin it is 05/02/2019 08:43 and bb 05/02/2024 - some have different dates. can you explain to me why this is so? is the date on the tin (under the wrapper) not supposed to be the product date? If so, why is there a different date at the bottom of the tin?

Pick n Pay unethical behaviour

On numerous occasions, I find that I am being charged for additional large carrier bags, and it is now becoming habit, and beginning to annoy me.
My latest purchases, 04.08.2019 @ 13.07 at the little falls store. Cashier: temp cashier 31. I have decided, as this is the 5th time, that I have paid for an additional carrier bag, I am going to lodge a complaint, as it is unethical behavior and cannot be seen as an error. Different cashiers, all do the same thing, seems to me like you are training your staff to cheat your shoppers knowingly!

Please see following list:
1. Store is not clean; even after revamp.
2. When you come back after a few days the clothing shelves still look the same untidy way.
3. The same plastic, etc is still laying on the floor.
4 . The staff is still sitting in random places either on their phones or having personal conversations.
5. The customers are still in long lines with only a few tillpoints open.
6. Staff are not helpful and friendly.

We are a small business spending approximately R6000 per week at this store.

I have submittted a complaint before. I have phoned in before and nothing has changed.

Pick n Pay service at paypoint

Dear Mr Harry Makubhela (manager - Pick a Pay Savannah
If possible, when you see the store is busy, kindly get out of your chair and your office and assist where needed. I do not think that only three open paypoints is sufficient to help all customers (plus, might i ad, two of them seems to be in need of training.) I promise you it is not a nice experience when everyone around are complaining about the bad service, and the manager is nowhere to be seen. I have been waiting for more than 30 minutes, while the till operator was busy with one client only, having a conversation without doing her job... there were 5 people in front of me, waiting to pay. The other two cues were just as bad. I eventually left my shopping and went to checkers, where i received service.

Pick n Pay purchasing electricity

I purchased R1 000 electricity at Pick n Pay. How come I receive 130 units less than when purchasing through on line banking. Please respond otherwise I will post on social media.
We were advised by the municipality that the cost of electricity would be the same no matter where it was purchased. I received 621 units with on line banking and only 489 when purchasing at Pick n Pay. This is a rip off.

Pick n Pay out of stock on promotion items and services

On Sunday 5th August 2019

How pathetic!
I went to Brackenfell Hyper to get my vegetables ( R100 for 4)
They only had onions & patatoes in stock !
I then decided to go to Glen Garry. Where I only found 3 of my items. The green peppers that I was looking for OUT OF STOCK!
Calvyne that assisted me thought out of the box and said: we can weight you green peppers so you can qualify for the offer. The lady at customer service told him I need to come back when there is stock available!.
Sorry, I'm not going to drive up and down for my green peppers that Pick n Pay was supposed to have in stock! Im not running a promotion PICK N PAY IS RUNNING A PROMOTION R100 FOR 4.
I took my 3 items of vegetables. And yet again I paid full price for everything. After I asked the till operator what is her name and she refused to give it to me. ZINGISWA written on the till stop.
Monday 07th August
Brackenfell Hyper phoned me.
I don't understand why would Brackenfell Hyper phone me and apologize. Try to fix something that Glen Garry did wrong!
I'm utter disgust with the service I received yesterday and on top of it I had to pay full price for my special. Please educate your staff

Pick n Pay service at the kitchen counter

I was there on Saturday, 3rd August. Stood at the Kitchen Counter waiting for someone to help with service. There was an elderly gentleman in front of me that had been waiting for a while. There was a lady helping by the cold meats but she was so busy that she was not able to come to assist us. I then went to the front of the store to ask to speak to the Manager and one of the ladies that was packing asked if she could help, I then explained the problem and she pointed to a gentleman that was standing by the tills telling me that he is working in that section. I spoke to him and he was rude and said he was helping a customer that was nowhere in sight, he told me to go back and he would come through now, which never happened. The lady by the cold meats eventually helped us.
At the end of my shopping i asked to speak to the Manager, they eventually called her when they realised i was not going to go away.
i spoke to the Manager and she tried to make excuses for the staff member.
The sad truth is that the staff members forget that it is the customers that pay their salaries.
I will never use that store again and i will make sure my friends and family members wont either.
i will be putting this on hello peter as well and on fb

Pick n Pay service definitely extremely poor

Visited the pnp at Foresthill mall on 1 August 2019. Firstly no one available to serve you at the Delhi section, went back to kind someone cleaning and asked us to wait as she will find the person. Well we were not going to wait longer.

Cashiers extremely slow, more talking done with shoppers irrespective of how long the queues are.

I definitely won't visit pnp again and will surely convey this experience to family, friends and work colleagues.

Pick n Pay pricing

I reside very close to PnP Klipkop. I have constantly complained to the staff over incorrect product labels and nothing gets done about it. They blame the merchandiser and I corrected them and stated it may be the duty of the merchandiser, however, the Manager is there to see that it is done. This morning, I went in for a few things and amongst others was butter. In the fridge was stacks of Mooi River butter but no price. I spoke to someone and got some stupid reply so just left. I the phoned on 0219311352 and some person who identified herself as security answered the phone, could not understand English so had no clue what I was on about.
You need to send someone there to check this store and get these things corrected as I currently, after many years, find Spar to be more efficient.

Pick n Pay poor service

On 24 of July I was paying at the x press till. I was standing in the Que and went to the next tlll. A lady went in before me and I did say to the cashier (Puseletho Mojapane) that I was before the lady and she must also stand in the Que to be help. Puseletho say the lady did forget to draw money. But the lady did already pay for her shopping and went away and then return back and there was already a other client who was been helped.

The worst of my experience is that the cashier did refuse to speak English or Afrikaans. I did ask for the manager to be called. I did say to the cashier out of respect I speak English what is a langue every body understand. What she replied it is her right to speak her home langue. I did tell her I don t understand her langue and will she pls speak English.

Even when the manageress Sandra arrive at the the till she did ask the lady three times to speak English so that we can resolve the problem the cashier refuse and say it is her right to speak her home language.

What did make everything more embarrassing for me that more of the staff did come and stand around the till and start talking in there language.

I did ask the manageress to pls ask them to go away because why did they come and also stand at the till?

After the cashier did keep on refusing to speak in English the manageress did ask her to close her till and follow us to resolve the issue.

The manageress Sandra was very professional and I want to thank her for handling the situation so well. Even after the cashier did not evan show respect in front of a customer to her.

If it is Pick a Pay policy (what I did ask the cashier as well after she continue to say it is her right tot speak her language in work hours will she is helping a customer)

What will our customers do what does not understand a third language?

I always did think Pick a Pay language is for every one.

Pick n Pay customer service

Good day to you

I was in the cape Gate branch on the 24th of July at 17:28, to do a return in store. I was standing at the cash desk for 5 minutes waiting on someone to assist me.
I saw a lady busy hanging clothes up n asked her if she worked in the store and if so, could she possibly assist me.
She rolled her eyes and immediately portrayed an attitude of annoyance towards me. I kept myself calm and didn't say anything, hoping that the situation would improve.
The lady never greeted me, didn't ask me for my receipt, method of payment, why I'm returning the items, if she could assist in looking for the correct sizes that I needed, nothing.
I'm currently in retail myself, and has been in clothing for the past 14 years. A retail manager of a 3000 sqm store in Tyger Valley. At a very well-known brand across the country. And excellent customer service is what we strive for daily.
The behavior of Emlynn Jacobs (cashier) and supervisor Eden Essua did not amuse me at all. Eden did not even make an effort to greet or make eye contact with me. I left the store upset and disgusted.
This experience will definitely leave me thinking twice about returning to this branch, I was hoping to get much better customer service in this branch than at Tyger Valley, because at Tyger Valley it's even worse.

Kind Regards

Pick n Pay eggs

On 20 July 2019, I bought a tray of '18 Eggs for Africa' brand and 6 were rotten. The outlet was Willowbridge Mall, Carl Cronje Drive. The eggs were packaged by Windmeul Eierboere(Edms) Bph (Pty) Ltd, Malmesbury Road, Noodender-Paarl.

I am requesting for a refund or replacement of the eggs. I could not carry the rotten eggs back to the store for health reasons as the stench was unbearable. I am not sure if the remaining 8 eggs are ok or not.

The barcode on the packaging is: 6 002569 000358

My details are:

Pick n Pay catering service & interaction

We visit the Tygervalley store every Wednesday late afternoon and last Wednesday again at approx 18:00 . We experienced a major deterioration in the service from the Cashiers. We were completely ignored ( no eye contact ) despite the fact that she rung up our purchses. The Cashier and the packer did not for one moment stop chatting to one another on the top of their voice in their mother tong Xhosa. They never for one moment ran out of conversation. The till next door no 7 was exactly going the same way. It appears that we your customer doesn't exist. I am sorry to report that customer service/interaction doesn't exist. Most clients just happens to tolerate the situation too scared to complain.
