O'Reilly Auto Parts Sales product

Hi. I purchased a set of Spark Plugs on 03/22/2023. I realized that the packaging was damaged, but I didn't think much of it. I placed the spark plugs in my 2015 Kia Forte Ex and when I started my car the RPMS kept dropping and fluctuating then the check engine light came on. Mind you I was changing the plugs as they were due to be changed and i wasn't having any issues with my car. I then took the plugs out and upon examining them the plugs had been used, were damaged, not calibrated. I have pictures of the 4. Then I return to the location in question, and it was 8:49 pm and they were closed. I had to try to make it to two different locations with two of your competitors to get new plugs. I finally reached advance auto purchased new plugs (I checked they were new, and the packaging was new and not taped up) and the car was fine. I am a loyal customer of O'Reilly's and I refuse to go to any other auto part store. I go because of the knowledge, savings, deals and convenience. Yesterday I felt like selling me the product was just a sale and that no one paid attention nor cared to check why the package was the way it was and if the product was fine. I trusted the staff and I should not have.

Desired outcome: Policy - all staff must exam the product before selling & giving to customer.Compensation for hassle, stress it caused trying to fix the problem. don't have access to provide the pictures but if you provide me an email, I can send them ASAP

O'Reilly Auto Parts Refund

I tried getting a refund for a product that I purchased and the representative Cesar at the sylmar California location Sam go ahead and grab another one. Manny tells me he can’t because the manager has the code so then I told him why would he tell me to get another one? If he can’t even do it Danny’s has a smirk on his face saying he hast to wait for his manager. He’s in lunch. I spent $90 and he’s telling me why do I have an attitude because it’s almost $100 that I spent and there’s nothing he can do about it. The Freon spilled out from the hose. It’s a factory defect and there was nothing that could have been done. That’s what Cesar said. Very unprofessional and rude.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund of the attic freeze

O'Reilly Auto Parts My car was damaged due to incorrect installation of battery I purchased

I purchased a battery on February 20 and the O'Reilly's employee installed it incorrectly, resulting in major electrical damage to my car.

O'Reilly's agreed to pay for repairs but as I was without the use of my car for two and a half weeks altogether, I had to use the services of Uber for some critical transportation needs!

I asked the District Manager to help me with reimbursement; I have the list of payments I had to make - unbelievably he told me "we don't pay for that." Please help me; I spent a lot of money associated with O'Reilly's mistake in February.

Thank you, George Dively. [protected]

Desired outcome: I wish to be reimbursed for my expenses incurred due to O'Reilly's mistake installing a new battery incorrectly.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Employees

Your store at 8817 N. 7th st, Phoenix, AZ 85020 needs better employees. I've been going there on and off for a few years now. Cecelia and Victor are always lounging. I can here them joking and laughing while one new employee helps customers. Extremely unprofessional and I'm tired of it! I need a starter today and Orielly's is the only store that has it. I lost my mind and had to leave. I can't see myself ever stepping into an Orielly's again.

Desired outcome: Fire them!

O'Reilly Auto Parts Poor customer service

Around 6:45 I walked into O’Reilly’s on Broadway in Oakland, CA to buy some new headlight bulbs for my Land Cruiser, along with some other small things while I was there. From the second I walked in the door and straight to the electrical section to get some wire terminations when I noticed one of the employees was following me around. I thought it was a bit strange, but didn’t think much of it at first because I had only been in there a few seconds. The next thing I know the second employee was following me, only a couple feet behind me. As if I was trying to steal something. She was standing directly in front of the wire terminations that I needed to buy, and at the same time she kept dropping an open package of the wire termination on the ground. I looked through the parts that I needed for a minute. It was a bit difficult, because I have extremely poor eyesight. Not once did the female employee asked me if there is anything she could help me with she just continue dude. Stand uncomfortably close to me and drop things on the floor. After I found what I needed, I moved to the next tile to get some carb cleaner. The female employee followed directly behind me, is if she was trying to catch me for stealing something. For the record, I’ve never stolen anything in my life, especially from the local auto parts store that I go to all the time. Finally, I turned around in and asked the female employee why she was following me and that I don’t appreciate being treated that way. She then accused me of stealing and said that I had put something in my pocket. I showed her that I didn’t have anything in my pocket and she said “ what are you looking for? “ I told her “I was getting some carb cleaner“ while I was standing and looking at the carb cleaner, which should’ve been obvious to her. At that point started began to get upset. I asked her if she had a problem, and again, she continued to accuse me of being a thief. I’m not sure why she thought that I I was stealing something as I had not done anything to provoke her or raise suspicion, or why she would think I would try to steal something with her only 2 feet away from me so I showed her that the only two things I had in my pocket where my keys and my cell phone. at that point I felt so uncomfortable I couldn’t stand being in there anymore so I promptly walked to the register to pay for my items. While at the register, the male employee Kept pointing at my address on the computer screen and laughing and commenting to the other employee saying “Oh you live in Berkeley?” In a very sarcastic tone,“ It’s eautiful there!” at the same time he was laughing and smirking at me. Obviously, to me, he was being sarcastic and seem to have some kind of problem with people from Berkeley. After that he then made me repeat my phone number that was associated with my account numerous times, presumably, trying to make me feel uncomfortable in someway. The mail employee did this about five or six times laughing and giggling at me the whole time. He then repeatedly asked me, “ why are you so butt hurt?” At this point, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was the only customer in the store and wanted to leave extremely bad. Because of the harassment, I ended up forgetting to get the headlights I originally went into the store to get. I contemplated going back inside to purchase the headlights, while I was in the car in the parking lot, but when I looked in through the window, I could see both of them staring and laughing at me from inside the shop, so I decided it’s probably better right not go back in there and I left. I still don’t know why they would think that I stole anything, especially since they started following me only seconds after I walked in the door, or what they're reason was for following me and treating me that way in the first place. I haven’t had any previous problems with any other employees there and I’ve gone in treating there many times in the over the years. Unfortunately, unless something is done about the two employees that work there, who harassed him me, I never wanna go back in there again. It was totally humiliating and degrading and extremely unprofessional.

Desired outcome: I don’t think that’s right it’s up to me to decide what should be done, but I do know that I definitely don’t wanna shop there ever again if I have to see either of those two employees again.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Battery warranty

Purchased a battery in 4/22 with a year warranty. Someone else picked it up for me and did not have receipt or phone, and has since passed away. I don’t want money back, just a battery replacement. Had to jump this battery often when deciding to take it back. It seems to me that a company should back the product to everyone. I do understand some out there may be nefarious, but if you only give an exchange, am not sure of the disadvantage to you. I did have to purchase a new battery for replacement as I couldn't wait. I purchased the same battery and put it on my card for payment.

Desired outcome: Just want an exchange

O'Reilly Auto Parts Customer service at store 6052, 1185 s. Camino Del Rio Durango Colorado

January 15, 2023, ~4:59 p.m.

Employee 529819

Ordered part, was contacted by phone to let me know the part was not in stock even though the part was in stock per the computer at that store. Said the part would be available at the store the next day. Arrived to find that the item did not arrive from the other store in Farmington, though was available at the other store in Durango, CO. Used my $5.00 off coupon for the gasket (item). The clerk (529819) provided my money back to my card and said that I could not use the $5.00 coupon for the next purchase. He then ordered the gasket from the other store in Durango, made a "will call" slip, charged the full amount less a 10% courtesy discount and sent me to the other Durango store to pick up the item. So, I lost my $5.00 coupon, had to do the legwork for this facility AND had to listen to foul language during this whole process by the same clerk as he launched "f-bombs" and "GD" while on the phone and using the computer to try to remedy the issue.

Desired outcome: I would like a district manager to stop by the store and experience the salesman's demeanor, reimburse my $5.00 coupon for future purchases (not at that particular store) and reimburse my gas to have to drive to the other store.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Employee in Milton Fl

Monday, January 1, 2023, at 5:53 p.m. Nick Dialed Oreilly's in Milton, Florida, at 6572 Caroline St.

Paul, the employee who answered the phone, was unable to assist us with our questions, so Paul put Anthony, another employee, on the line. I was asking my guy's what part size we needed when Anthony tried to assist. Without completing my order, Anthony hung up the phone. I called back, and Paul picked up. I questioned Paul, "Why did Anthony hang up the phone?" Paul said as a result of his mounting rage. This, in my view, is intolerable.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Management

Harassment in the workplace. I started at the Bamberg SC store in November 1, 2022 and was not trained properly. Other team members did not try to help. I did the best I could ever day with limited training. After the first month money started missing from my register. I saw a team member taking money from a register and putting it into her purse. After my register was short twice in a week I decided to leave the employment of the Bamberg SC O'Riley store.

Desired outcome: Investigation of facility financial department.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Manager is aggressively rude to female customers

Business location

5151 Atlantic Ave.,

Long Beach, CA 90805.

Counter # 20259

Date 12/19/2022 at 10:59 AM

Drawer 8

Employee name, Jose

This employee is aggressively rude to women customers. There were three employees on duty myself, and one other customer in the store. I asked where the location of an item was, and I was given the wrong location and heard laughing in the back. Realizing that the location given was not the correct one and probably why they were laughing. I took my items to pay and check out. He did not ask for a phone number for customer membership and I had to tell him I wanted my number added since I shop for automotive parts frequently. When he got the change and receipt at the end of the transaction, he handed my receipt and my cash and change to the other customer which was a man and completely ignored me, and gave away my money and my receipt to somebody else. When I said hey, what are you doing? That’s my money that’s my receipt he still did not acknowledge me. The customer told him it was mine then he acted like I existed in his store. This man needs to be written up and sent back to classes on how to be a decent employee since he’s obviously not a decent human being disgustingly rude. This location needs better management. I will also be posting this on yelp and social media and sending it to the local news because I did have my phone recording.

Desired outcome: Written up and if he is the manager he needs to be reevaluated and educated on proper customer service behavior and skills and how to not treat customers of the female gender so disrespectful and rude

O'Reilly Auto Parts Rude associate

I came in Saturday November 26 at 3:00 pm. Anthony would not stand by the warranty of the brake pads that I bought. Told me I was full of [censored]. The brake pads that I bought had been on my truck for less than a month and the right brake pad broke, this left me stranded. I was told by Sean the manager and Jessica that I could return them once I put the new ones on and get my money back.

When I went in to return them today Brandon and Anthony were very rude to me and argued with me that they were broken.

Anthony went to help other customers and in the middle of helping the customers blue was yelling across the store at me that I was being rude and he was going to call the cops on me and have me removed. He did this several times very loudly.

I do not appreciate being treated like that.

I have bought a lot of parts for my vehicles there. I will not and will tell everyone I know to never go in there.

I believe Anthony needs to be disciplined for his Terrible customer service!

Desired outcome: I did get my refund from Brandon, he wasn’t very nice either. Anthony needs to be fired for the way he treats people!!

O'Reilly Auto Parts Mark was too lazy to look at my headlight

November 17, 2022 approx 5:30 pm O'Reilly in Channelview, TX on Sheldon Rd

I drove into the O'Reily parking lot and purposely parked in a spot directly in front of the store, so I could ask the clerk to see the burned-out headlight and what I might need. My husband hasn't had the time to get the part for me, so I had to stop and buy it.

I gave the employee, Mark, the year and other details. Mark looked at the monitor to see what I need he could not tell which light I need. I answered that I only need one light, because he said I could get one or both. He asked if I need the high beam. I asked him if he could look at my car to see if I need both bright and dim. I told him it's right there and pointed at the car. He looked at it then back at the monitor. Obviously, he was too lazy, I thought. He just looked blankly up and down the screen. He obviously didn't know how to help me.

Then he asked what color do I need, yellow, blue, white. I said I want the same color that is on it. I know it's not yellow. So he pointed to a vehicle driving in the street. He said that is blue. There were many cars driving by at that time. I didn't see what he was looking at. I told him that I don't want yellow and I don't think it's blue, and would he look to see what I have. Could he look to see what I need. Then he asked do you want the dim light or the dim and bright. I asked how does it come? He said I can only buy a dim and bright light in one. Then another employee comes along to help and I was getting two answers. By this time I was frustrated. I said I'm leaving, this guy wants to sell me any old [protected]@@m thing. I got his name off his shirt and told him I am going to report him. I really don't think he even knows why. He was mumbling to the other guy as I was leaving.

The guy obviously knows very little about car headlights.

I went around the corner to another parts store and the guy went out to my car and in 30 seconds told me what I needed. He sold me the factory light and said they don't make the combo dim and bright for my car.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Employee acting unprofessional

Palacios Texas O'Reilly's. There is an employee named Dalhia that (while in O'Reilly's store) discussed with two different neighbors of mine that my family uses drugs and the my kids are drug addicts and attempted to get my Assistant to quick because Dalhia advised my work from home position is a drug den and that i am cooking meth here.

I am a NFIP FEMA Catastrophe Adjuster with a PIV Card and DOJ security clearance. I live alone, I work 16 hours a day during Hurricane Season. My name is Patty Thompson, My son is Logan Thompson. As a single mom, I put my son through A&M University and he has a Biomedical Science Degree with a minor in Public Health.

My son works as a Genetic Engineer who works in a lab in Austin under DEA management. (Potency Tester) also with high security clearance. I only have one child.

I don't know this Dahlia person, I have never seen her or met her, but while she is under your employment in your facility, I do expect she keep her crazy to herself.

O'Reilly Auto Parts Unauthorized charges at Store #5572

To who may concern:

My name is Victor L Cuadrado I am a veteran from the armed forces and served for 22 yrs. Retired with Honors. Today Friday October21, 2022 at or around 7:10pm I went to the store mentioned above in Harkers Heights, TX and Mr Justin who is the Assistant Manager tender me during a purchase of a vehicle battery for the amount of 143.00. At the moment to authorize payment the Custumer's machine where transactions are maid, made 2 separate transactions for the amount of 1)$60.48 and later another for the amount of $140.00. I explained Mr Justin what took place he insisted that he is not aware of such transactions and he will not give me the merchandize nor provide any reimbursement and that If I wanted the merchandize I will have to paid an additional $143.00. I had my bank of USAA to hear everything he said, the lady explained him over and over he refute that he doesn't work for the lady and nothing productive was going to happened from our conversation. At the end I left the store without merchandize and without money., I had to contact the bank again and initiate a charge dispute in order to recover my hard earn money. I have been a member of Oreilly Auto Part Store since I was a new recruit in the Army back in the 1980's and have never felt this way. All I wanted was the merchandize and a reimbursement for the excess charge. I am very disappointed and I am convinced that no one deserved this kind of treatment as a custumer while purchasing at any store.Mr Justin make everything look like I was trying to either steal the merchandize or get any with any type of fraud I don't want to experience this kind of treatment ever again, I'm closing my electronic accounts and will never ever purchase from this auto part again nor recommend it to friends and family.

Desired outcome: Mr Justin branded me and make me look like I was lying and making The Whole thing. He cost the company a loyal Custumer of over 35yrs. I leave you guys any disciplinary actions that goes in accordance with what I just experienced. I'm sure
