We will start with the two positives we experienced on our recent cruise.
1) Embarkation was handled better than any other cruise line we have used. Very quick, efficient and smiles all the way.
2) Although an older ship, it was pleasant and nicely outfitted.
Now to the not so pleasant part.
We had requested a non-obstructed balcony. Our booking agent was led to believe 9026 would meet our request (see picture below).
When we approached customer service they blew us off!
We found the service, both for our cabin and meals to be inferior, uncaring and well below the standard we expected. Waiters were standing talking together while empty plates sat on tables beside them. The buffet food was boring and always the same things each day.
Juices were removed after breakfast and even lemonade and ice tea were removed by early evening. The last two days there was no creamers for coffee.
As to our cabin steward, we had to request face clothes on more than one occasion. Our room was never cleaned until mid afternoon with linen carts and vacuums littering the narrow hallways most of each day.
We were shocked to find that you had to pay for beach chairs (US$39 for 2) on Ocean Cay, their private island.
