I purchased a vacation package in October 2024 for about $1,000, which included six trips and gold insurance for cancellations or rescheduling.
I booked a trip to New York and was first told I'd pay hotel taxes on arrival, but then was asked to pay upfront. When I tried to change the location within the allowed time, I was told I'd lose my $150 deposit, even though I was told I can change any trips w/o being charged as I paid 250$ for the "gold insurance".
Later, I booked a Europe trip and paid nearly $600 for resort fees and amenities in advance. But when I arrived, the resort asked me to pay another $150, unaware of what I’d already paid to Monster and told me they dont know anything and have nothing to do with that.
Every time I speak with someone, I get different information, charges, and policies. Unfortunately, I no longer feel confident using the remaining five trips and have essentially lost my $1,000.
