Extremely negative experience at a Metro store located at 2410 N Federal Hwy, Hollywood, FL 33020 on Oct 28, 2025.
I've been a loyal Best Buy customer for phone purchases due to their excellent customer service, but I decided to visit a Metro store for a quick fix when my phone started acting up.
An employee (Khadar Basha) informed me that my phone's motherboard was gone and I needed a new phone. I initially wanted a Google Pixel, which was not available, but he convinced me to purchase another device. During this process, he repeatedly mentioned "free gifts," yet the final bill came to $600. When I requested an itemized receipt, he refused to give me one. Upon further questioning, it became clear these "gifts" were unwanted items he had added to my purchase without my consent.
To make matters worse, he did not have the phone in stock and asked a random customer to drive me to another store to pick it up. We arrived at the second store only to be informed that we had been sent to the wrong location. At this point, 2 hours had passed, and I was frustrated. I returned to the original store demanding to void the transaction and receive a refund. He asked me to wait. Eventually, someone brought the phone. He still did not provide a receipt but stated I could return the phone for a full refund within 10 days. Less than 24 hours later, I returned to the store to get a refund, but they only offered a 50% refund. I called customer service and explained the situation. The representative confirmed that they had received numerous complaints about this specific store regarding overcharging and failure to provide receipts. She assured me I would receive a full refund.
I visited the store again this morning, and the same employee mistakenly believes my frustration stems from not receiving a receipt.
I have already spoken with 3 different representatives who assured me a full refund would be issued. However, each of them stated they could not locate the transaction in their system?
I am currently still at the store, attempting to resolve this issue with this guy who isn't helpful at all and is just a scam artist.
