Lord & Taylor return
Bought a dress from Lord & Taylor. Order # [protected] placed on June 16, 2023. Sent it back on July 15th, have email from L&T that I need to do my return until July 18th, so I did within this time frame. Today is August 17th but still no way to find out what is going on. Contacted L&T two times by email and once via chat, but no clear response when I will get my refund, only 'your item is still under inspection'. Per their return policy, it will take up to 10 business days to get refund (at least the response on my first email was saying this and their online help). Today I was trying to chat with customer support but again, first got my item is still under inspection and then chat was just not available. I see, a lot of people complaining about this company not returning money for the returned products. Unfortunately, I read all these reviews after I placed my order. Is it actually legal to hold customer's money for as long as they want? I am not sure what else I can do to get my refund. Thanks.

Terrible Customer Service and Bait-and-Switch Tactics: My Experience with Lord and Taylor
I had a really bad experience with Lord and Taylor. I thought they were a good company, but I was wrong. I ordered a dress from them, but when the package arrived, it was a child's pair of jogging pants. I was really upset and tried to contact them, but the phone numbers I found online were discontinued. I sent an email, but it was returned as no such address. I was really frustrated and didn't know what to do.
I called American Express and they told me to file a complaint. I wanted to try to get the dress I had purchased, but they told me that they didn't have it and probably never did. I was really disappointed and felt like I had been scammed. Their customer service was terrible and they didn't seem to care about my problem.
To make things worse, they charged me $7.99 for returns, even though it wasn't my fault that they sent me the wrong item. I didn't have a printer, so it was really difficult to get the return label printed. In the end, the "not available dress" cost me $11.00 and about $50.00 in total frustration.
I decided to take action and bundled their emails, ads, picture of the item, etc. and sent it to the Attorney General and Better Business in Pennsylvania. It was a pure bait and switch, and I want to warn others to avoid Lord and Taylor. I'm not sure how I will get a refund, but I hope that American Express will be helpful.
Overall, I would not recommend Lord and Taylor to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't seem to care about their customers. If you want to avoid frustration and disappointment, I suggest you shop elsewhere.

I recently had an experience with Lord+Taylor, and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I remember the days when Lord+Taylor had a few beautiful stores in New York, but now it seems like a completely different company. The stores have closed down, and the company has been purchased by a team that seems to be running a scam.
Firstly, their customer service is terrible. They have a 650 area code customer service number that nobody answers, and if you have an issue, you need to email or text them. I ordered something from their website because of their 20% discount, but a few minutes after placing the order, I found out about the scams they are capable of.
Immediately, I sent them an email and text to cancel the order, but it was on a Sunday night. On Monday, I received a response saying that the cancellation is not guaranteed, and almost 48 hours passed without any other answer from them. They charged my card for $250, and my order was not canceled, processed, or shipped.
I continued to send emails requesting the cancellation, but I received no feedback. It was a frustrating experience, and I felt like I was being put through hell. I have read many reviews that describe how their products are fake, dirty, or used, and in many instances, they do not return the charges.

I recently made a purchase on Lord+Taylor's website and ordered two dresses. After trying them on, I decided to return them via mail a few days later. However, when I received my credit, I only received credit for one dress. I was confused and frustrated, so I decided to call customer service to inquire about the missing credit. The representative told me that she would email the return department and send me an email with an update.
A week later, I still had not received an email, so I called customer service again. This time, I was told that the second dress was damaged beyond repair and could not be sold. I was shocked and confused. The dress was received in perfect condition and returned exactly the same way. If the dress was damaged, why was I not notified? Why did I have to call twice to inquire about the return?
I can't help but feel like Lord+Taylor did not realize there was a second dress in the box (although the packing slip indicated there was). If the dress was damaged, it was damaged in their facility. I would never damage something and try to get credit for it. It's frustrating to think that the consumer is the one who has to pay for the company's downsizing.
What's even more frustrating is that Lord+Taylor takes pictures of how the dress looks when they ship it, but they don't take pictures of how the dress looks when it comes out of the box. This would have been helpful in determining if the dress was actually damaged or not.

Terrible Customer Service and Product Quality at Lord+Taylor
I gotta say, I've been shopping online for years and this was the worst experience I've ever had. Lord+Taylor, what's going on with your customer service? Lord and Taylor: Nightmare Customer Service and Refund Delays
My experience with Lord and Taylor has been a complete nightmare. I had a problem with a duplicate order that was charged to my account for over $500.00. When I tried to get in touch with them on the night I placed the order, I was unable to reach anyone. The next day, I finally spoke to someone in the Philippines who assured me that they would credit my account because it was indeed a duplicate order. This was on October 09,2020. She told me that it would take a few days, specifically 7 days, for the credit to appear on my account.
However, after waiting for 10 days, I called back to check on the status of my refund. The same girl I spoke to before answered the phone and told me that it might take up to 2 weeks for the credit to appear on my account. When I called today, November 30,2020, to follow up again, no one answered the phone and they were offline.
I was told by one of the salespeople that Lord and Taylor no longer owns the store and that it is now owned by creditors. This could be the reason why they are not processing returns and refunds in a timely manner. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of customer service and communication from this establishment.
I would strongly advise anyone considering making a purchase from Lord and Taylor to think twice. It is no longer the same company it once was and the customer service is severely lacking. I am now forced to contact my bank to seek help with this issue.

I had an order from lordandtaylor.com a while back, before the end of 2020. They sent me a physical card with their name clearly marked on it. It was before the Saadia Group bought Lord & Taylor. My order number was #***181. Unfortunately, I never received the package. The store gave me a gift card with the number xxxxxxxx 3292. I recently remembered that I had it and tried to redeem it. To my surprise, it was not redeemable. I tried to contact lordandtaylor.com, but there was no customer service phone number to call. They only had chat and email. Can you believe it? This is Lord & Taylor, a hundred-year-old reputable company! I asked to redeem my card, but all they advised was that they have no option to refund the balance on the physical gift card. They changed management and have no contact or documents for previous transactions or gift cards. It seems like somebody just took that money!
I was really disappointed with my experience with lordandtaylor.com. I mean, who wouldn't be? It's frustrating to have a gift card that you can't use, especially when it's not your fault. I was also surprised that a company like Lord & Taylor didn't have a customer service phone number. I mean, come on! How are customers supposed to get help if they can't talk to a real person?

Lord+Taylor Needs to Change Dress Code Policy for Employees to Maintain Reputation
This store, Lord+Taylor, has a pretty good reputation, but if they want to keep it that way, they really need to change their dress code policy for employees! It's just not right to let employees wear clothes that are later put up for sale in the store.
There's this lady in my neighborhood who works at the L&T store in Schaumburg, and she has the most disgusting body odor. Her name is Beata, and she's admitted to many people that she wears the store's clothing not only when she's working her 2-3 hour shift, but also when she's doing yard work. And when she sweats in those clothes, the smell gets absorbed into the fabric, and then those clothes are brought back to the store and put up for sale. It's a really bad practice, not just because of her stinky body odor, but also because of the coronavirus.
She even sent some of those clothes to customers who ordered online, but before she shipped them out, she wore them! It's just so gross and dangerous!
So, L&T management, please change your policy and don't let your employees wear any clothes that are meant for sale in the store! Until then, I'm going to stay away from shopping at L&T.
Lord+Taylor's Terrible Customer Service: A Nightmare Pink Gucci Shoe Experience
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Lord+Taylor. I mean, I was really excited to buy these Pink Gucci Shoes that I saw on their website, but it turned out to be a total mess. The shoe description said "beige," but I wanted to make sure I was getting the pink shoes that I saw in the picture. So, I reached out to L&T and talked to this guy named Hani H. He told me that the shoes were actually beige, not pink, and that the picture was wrong. But the next day, I checked the website again and the description had been changed to say "pink." So, I was like, "What the heck?" But then, when I tried to order the shoes in my size, they were sold out. So, I had to settle for a different color in a size 9 1/2.
But then, when I got the shoes, they were a size 10! I was so frustrated. I returned the shoes and ordered them again in my size, but they sent me another size 10! I even included the Gucci size chart in my return to help them get it right, but they still messed it up. I've been trying to get this resolved for over a month now, and their customer service is just terrible. Every time I contact them, they just send me a generic email saying "I'm happy to help," but they never actually do anything to fix the problem.
Honestly, this whole experience has been a nightmare. I started trying to buy these shoes on February 4th, and it's now March 4th, and I'm still waiting for someone to help me. They promised to issue the proper refund, but they never did. I had to call them again and again over the course of five weeks, and every time I called, I was given a case number. However, when I called back, I was told that my case was closed and that I had to re-open a new case. It was a never-ending cycle of frustration and disappointment.
I felt like a beggar every time I had to call them and explain my situation over and over again. The last straw was when I called them demanding my refund, and I was transferred and put on hold several times. Return label denied for a one shoulder dress I purchased online. I need you to understand the reason this dress I can not wear
Need to return a dress. It doesn't fit properly due to having a mastecomy. it is a one shoulder dress and this is unwearable. Please help with this issue. The dress I thought would be perfect for an upcoming wedding. I can not wear this style dress the way the one shoulder dress fits. I need to return this dress and need a return shipping label. The return shows that they received the dresses and it's delivered to the dock-North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Now it's been 3 weeks and still no return. I contact customer services via chat message since that seems to be the only way I can get a response from somebody. They are investigating the situation and will not respond to my emails or text. The dresses together are more than $1000! I feel that I have lost my $ and that they will not help my situation. With the proof that the return arrived, they should refund me. I have all the chat and text saved for reference and proof of conversations.

I purchaed a gown from the on Friday March 10 2023. After 7 days there is still no email or correspondace about the dress being shipped. I send an email asking for shipping details . i receive an email back saying someone is working on packing your order. I write back asking for an ETA , i then get a response stating order is cancelled , dress not in stock . Minutes after i get this last email, another email comes in , thanking me for my order (which i did not place) . My credit card has been charged for 7 days and now i have another authorized pending charge for another 1111.09$ USD, The credcit for 1 charge finally comes through today March 21rst but there is a balance for 97.00 cdn that remains un-credited due to the exchange rate. I still have the second charge thats in my authorized transactions that still hasnt been removed after approx 14 emails and plenty of screen shots sent. I tried to start a chat but receibed a message stating chat is not available. Tried looking for a toll free number , the ones i googled are not working. I asked for a supervisor & they respond thats noot possible. They have now stopped responding to my emails.
Desired outcome: I need that balance of 973.00 credited and i wasnt them to remove that authorized hold for and 1485.44 CDN so i can continue to use that amount of my credit if i wish to.
Men's suit jacket
I purchased a navy blue men's suit online at the website in December 2022. I received the merchandise on December 21, 2022. I requested an exchange of the suit jacket. It was too small. I received an email from them stating that I reached the 30 day return period which was not true. The 30 day return would be 21 January 2023. I paid 117 for the Suit jacket and i'm looking for a full refund. The company was going out of business and still allowed people to order merchandise and didn't say all sales were final. I went online in search of a Cusisnart Velocity blender it was advertised at Lord and Taylor from $127 to $76.20 with coupon if you signed up to program. I did but opted out of email alerts. When I went to check out it said coupon not accepted. I took a photo emailed them was led to a live chat where I was encroached to sign up for email alerts then I'd receive more coupons for other deals. I had purchesed 3 orders. The first one had 7 items in it. I returned 5 items the same package it was sent in and tracked the package to NJ and a Sammi accepted it. I received $32 dollars. I was told only one thing was in the package. It has been weeks and there is no number to call only chatting for hours during working hours and all different people, they all say the same thing. Either you have the items or someone stole them.. Now I returned the other Items I purchased two labels two packages, again only received one credit back for the wrong amount. Not to mention the fact that you are charged 7,99 for each package returned. It is crazy. This store used to be a reputable store what happened? How can you function with no one to speak to about anything even when you can't help the customer. I already disputed the first order and I guess again I will need to dispute the others.

I returned an item to Lord and Taylor, order #[protected], on 6/25/2022. I returned this package via UPS as instructed by Lord and Taylor. Unfortunately, UPS lost the package. I informed Lord and Taylor on 7/6/2022 after I discovered that this happened. Lord and Taylor did nothing to resolve this issue. I filed a claim with UPS which was approved. However, UPS indicated that the check (approximately $1,000) would be sent to Lord and Taylor because the package consisted of a return. Although this made no sense to me because I had paid for the item, there was nothing I could do. Over a month later, on 7/28/2022, I contacted Lord and Taylor to check the status of my refund. The Lord and Taylor customer service representative indicated that they are "still coordinating with the warehouse team if they have already received the check from UPS." Mind you, this has been over a month and Lord and Taylor is well aware that I sent the merchandise back and UPS has admitted that they lost the package. Why should I, the customer, have to wait for UPS to cut Lord and Taylor a check. Lord and Taylor selected UPS and the shipper, not me. I would like my refund processed asap.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I returned two items in one package and it took them 6.5 weeks to refund my money for one item. For the second item they are telling me I need to send proof that I returned it. It was a $200 formal dress. Needless to say I am so upset I am sick. I returned two orders to Lord & Taylor with separate RMA's. 1) Order [protected]/RMA [protected] for Size12 Halter Slip Gown Icy Lilac; 2) Order [protected]/RMA [protected] for Size 14 Halter Slip Gown Icy Lilac. I placed both items in the same package using UPS label 1ZXY69099098296010 which was affiliated with size14 order. I placed both RMA slips in the bag along with unused UPS label for size12. The package was received on April 27. I reached out to them on May 12 asking about my refund for the two items. On May 13 L&T responded and said they did not receive return for [protected]. I relayed to them at this time that both items were in the same bag. They said rest assure that our warehouse team will check into it. On May 27 I reached out to them again and they stated a return request was received but my return for [protected] has not been received and send the item back at my earliest convenience. I reiterated that both items were in the same bag again. They responded and said upon checking there are return labels that were confirmed from your order. Without using the correct and specific return label we will not be able to find the returned item. Our warehouse receives high volumes of incoming and outgoing transactions every day which is why we do have the system to automatically check the orders. They did refund me $152.03 for order [protected]/RMA [protected] on June 13. The returned item that I have yet to receive a refund for is for order [protected]/RMA [protected] in the amount of $193.49. I brought this to their attention in advance to be aware that there was 2 items in the bag to ensure this was handled properly. They are telling me they need proof. I have screen shot copies of both the RMA requests and both shipping labels and sent to them. I brought this to their attention immediately for them to seek out package. They kept reassuring me the situation would be resolved and to have patience now they are telling me to provide proof? Please assist in getting this rectified.
