LG Electronics LGE Refrigerator

On 02/05/2021 I purchased a LG refrigerator model# LFXS28968S /04 from ABC Warehouse. Let me start off by saying this product garbage! It worked for 4 months and has not worked properly for the past 8 months now. This has been going on for months now! I have had to make contact with ABC Warehouse, LG and the appliance company they've sent out here 7 TIMES to try and fix it and still we have a fridge that does not stay cool, freeze, make ice, reads CL E on the front of the ice maker dispenser that forces me to unplug the unit for increments of five minutes at a time and not to mention it makes a loud noise that feels like its going to explode at any second! I am fed up and no one at LG or its affiliates

are helping me! I've sent an email to the president of LG, made a complaint to ABC Warehouse, complained to Docs appliances who is supposed to be LG certified techs and still NOTHING has been resolved! Now I'm scheduled for an 8th service call thats going to take up to 8 hours to try and fix a problem that they already tried fixing the past 7 times, only now they are going to replace all the parts again all at once including the motherboard, evap system, compressor, vacuum seal it and as the tech stated with a smile on his face "in hopes that it works. WHY DO I NEED THESE PARTS REPLACED AGAIN IF THEYVE BEEN REPLACED THE FIRST 1 OR 2 TIMES?!?! I cant store anything in my fridge that I paid $2200 for thats just sitting in my kitchen as decoration! I no longer want this fridge, I want it out of my house! What can I do to get a refund?

Hi Remy.

I think I can explain and hopefully help.

The issue you're having is a leak in part of the sealed system. The sealed system is at the hart of what the refrigerator does. It includes the system's compressor, evaporative unit and all the tubes and connecting points throughout.

It sounds as if the service center is replacing one part at a time to see if that fixes the problem. Most service calls require at least two visits -- the first being to diagnose the problem; the second to obtain required parts and (hopefully) fix the issue. With each service call, as the consumer, you want to make sure you obtain and keep documented receipts to show what has been done.

Manufacturers are not the ones typically responsible for a refund. This is because the money collected for a purchase involves markups that the manufacturer never sees. In order for any type of a refund or possible exchange to take place, you need to contact the retailer directly. Do so at [protected]. Be prepared to email them copies of all the service documentation. At some point they may be able to obtain an RA (return authorization) number from the manufacturer, allowing an exchange to take place.

One other concern is that you've now extended beyond that manufacturer's warranty period. Hopefully you've elected to purchase an extended service contract to make sure the issue is properly resolved. If not, you may choose to replace the unit out of your own pocket. I wouldn't recommend paying for, what is going to be, an ongoing service problem. As much as you may be angered with this unit, LG makes a great refrigerator. You just happen to have one with an unfortunate problem. You might replace it with the same model if you like its features and layout. The chances of getting a second one with problems are slim.

LG Electronics brand new refrigerator compressor broke

Bought a refrigerator in November. Stopped making ice in December. called for repair in January. Found out the compressor was bad and Tech ordered new one. LG sent the wrong compressor and the technician didn't realize it until after the bad compressor was removed (part was mislabeled) Tech said compressor was on back order and refrigerator should be replaced. I have been dealing with LG customer service for the past 6 weeks trying to get this refrigerator repaired or replaced. Compressor is on back order until March 30 and yet LG says that I don't qualify for a new one because I haven't waited long enough. Every time I call LG I get the same run around, no one can help me, and then I'm told someone will call or email me within 3-5 days to help resolve the issue but no one ever does. I lost $500 worth of food when the refrigerator died and now have been without a refrigerator for 6 weeks and I may have to wait another 6 weeks before the refrigerator can be repaired. I am beyond frustrated and I am tired of waiting

Desired outcome: I want my refrigerator fixed or a replacement or a refund. I want some one to call me back and let me know what is being done

LG Electronics LG Dishwasher model LDP6810SS

Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pullled out and re installed with each visit Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I jabbed a means new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

Desired outcome: Prefer refund, will accept replacement

LG Electronics Refrigerator bad compressor #lfx25978st

I have an APN # 32A31702166P and 3 warranted parts I want delivered to my house. Under the warranty the parts are warranteed, and the service is not. No where does it say on the warranty that i bought it back then . that I have to use a certified technician to order the parts. NO WHERE SEND THE PARTS NOW. A lawsuit will be coming to you and the technician who is trying to rob me with excess service charges. Both of you should be put out of business.

Hi Mr/Ms Bauer.

I believe I might be able to assist.

The warranty for LG refrigeration is one (1) year limited for both parts and labor and a ten (10) year prorated, limited warranty on the compressor part only provided such problem is determined and repaired by an authorized service technician. Some resellers actually offer more complete warranty coverage when purchased with the appliance. As such, it may be helpful to contact the retailer you purchased the fridge through.

That fridge is a wonderful product. It's well worth getting serviced or replacing it with another LG refrigerator.

Make sure when placing the fridge, to provide enough breathing room around the compressor. Without doing so, it'll shorten the fridge's lifespan once again.

LG Electronics Sound system Electronics quit working one month out of warranty

Purchased LG OLED 77" TV (a $3,400 purchase) with LG 5.1.2 channel 520W Sound bar system and subwoofer (a $800 purchase). The subwoofer stopped working one month out of warranty. LG customer service refused to cover repair cost under product warranty. I can certainly understand when the product is way out of warranty and is multiple years old but just 30 days? Seriously? I will never purchase another LG electronics product again. This clearly showed to me the company has no interest in customer satisfaction. I was extremely happy with my TV and sound purchase until the sub woofer failed. I have received numerous compliments on the TV setup and quality. It's very disappointing LG decided to ignore my request for repair work this close to warranty status. Especially since I purchased a high end TV from them.

Desired outcome: I would have preferred to keep the sound system if customer service has chosen to fix the sound system. Instead, I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on and informing friends and family to avoid LG electronics.

Sounds frustrating.

LG's OLED televisions are some of the best in the market and their sound bars are made to compliment them nicely.

Unfortunately the one year limited warranty is just that — not a year and a month. I'm sure you can understand that a line has to be drawn somewhere and enforcing the actual dates seem reasonable.

I'd suggest contacting the retailer you purchased the equipment through. Many offer additional service coverage that may help at this point.

I'd also suggest making sure to connect your high-end electronics using a quality line conditioner. It may help your equipment from having something similar happening down the road.

LG Electronics Top load washer

Purchased LG Top Load Washer on 6/22/2020 Model # WT7300CW. Delivered end of July 2020. Seemed to work okay however occasionally the start button would not turn on the washer or the button had to be pressed on the side or edge of start button. As I only wash 1 to 2 loads per week, I only thought it inconvenient. 1yr 6 mo later start button doesn't work at times or I have to unplug & reset the machine. I called LG & they sent out repair next day for $99. The repair man told me the main control panel if defective and probably has been since I bought it. He told me they have been repairing several other same model wash machines with same problem. I asked about recalls he said not yet. Cost for new control board is $695. which includes install. I paid for the service call of $99 but did not pay for repair. I will buy another brand of washer for the same cost. It's too bad, I loved the washer when it did work and would have recommended LG products. Company should stand by its products for longer than a year.

LG Electronics Washing machine leaking water

I have been calling for two weeks as of 02/04/2020. I explained the issue of water shooting out of the back of the washer, and that it is stacked, and I can't see behind it to find out what the issue is. A representative told me it was policy for the unit to be unstacked before a technician can do work on it. It was clearly told to that rep. that I wasn't able to get it unstacked. The representative still ordered a technician to come out and review the issue. I didn't agree with it, but they insisted on sending someone after I requested a RETURN AUTHORIZATION. Today the tech came out and clearly said, (well I can't do anything with it being stacked). I explained to him that I tried to cancel the repair ticket, but LG refused. The tech drove almost an hour just to tell me what the LG representatives had already knew.

I called in twice today to again request a return authorization, and each rep that I spoke with refused to put in the request and insisted on sending out another tech to waist more time and then refused to send me to the survey after the call. The first one sat on the line for over 25 minutes in silence before transferring me to IVR to start the call with another agent. The second rep told me by three times, sent me to the survey and called me during the process of answering the questions. That caused the survey to hang up by default. When I answered her call, she was still trying to assist with an issue that she had already ended on the call that we had just ended. I feel like I have been cheated out of not just my money but out of fair treatment regarding the warranty. What is covered under warranty? Why are the representatives not willing to listen to the customers and refusing to go by the policy of LG?

Desired outcome: I would like to send the product back. Both items, washer and dryer. The dryer because if I'm going through this much trouble to get the washer repaired, I can only imagine what I would have to go through if something would happen to it.

LG Electronics Appliance

Refrigerator compressor failed two years into a five year warranty. LG has acknowledged that the appliance is under warranty, but has failed to resolve this problem. We have been waiting for 90 days. We lived out of ice chests for three weeks before we finally purchased a new refrigerator. The last time LG communicated with us was 12/29/2021. The claim number we were given by LG is RNN2111090.

LG Electronics 50” Flatscreen

Do not buy an LG TV. If you do, roughly 2 years into your ownership, LG will lock access to your TV unless you agree to new “USER TERMS.” What this basically means is that unless you agree to their sudden new terms, kiss your TV goodby, cause it’s now a giant monitor.

Most people will just agree to the terms, not knowing they’ve agreed to have the intimate details of all of their viewing, including pauses, duration of pauses, as well as titles, scooped up by LG’s data collection bots. How’s that for intimate?

My TV web searches will now be, “Is LG in violation of consumer laws?” “Why hasn’t the government investigated LG’s illegal trade practices?” “Does LG’s privacy terms violate consumer’s Constitutional right to privacy?…”

Buy a Sony.

Desired outcome: Investigation of illegal trade practices at LG for forcing new user agreements within the extended ownership period for their products.

LG Electronics LG refrigerator mulfunctioned. Poor service.

12/30/2021 - Refrigerator ( serial no. 102MRAQ2L344 ) in garage malfunctioned in late Dec/2021. Freezer was -5 degree only, ice-cream also melted. Reported on line on 12/30 ( RNN [protected]), with appointment on 1/4 ( 9:00-17:00).

1/4/2022 - No show on 1/4, sent LG CS email & was replied with a technician phone number to call directly.

1/5/2022 - A technician called in and said he had called before, and said would come on 1/7.

1/7/2022 - Freezer temperature was -10, lower portion was 0 degree ( at level 4 ). Technician asked to wait for 1-2 days to check temperature.

1/11/2022 - Informed technician the freezer temperature in past few days were with -9 to -13 degree, this is below standard freezer temperature of -18 degree.

But technician replied the freezer temperature would become normal when outside temperature going up.

1/29/2022 - Called technician at noon, told him the freezer temperature in past 18 days were also within -9 to -13, no matter I set the cold level from 3-5. Technician said he would contact me the next day.

1/30-2/3/2022 - No contact by technician.

2/4/2022 - Called technician at 14:45 hrs, was replied he would come to check at 5-7 pm on 2/7.

2/7/2022 - No call no show. I called technician at 19:15 hrs, was replied he would come at 4-5 pm on 2/8.

2/8 - 2/9/2022 ; No call no show.

Very poor service.

The one year warranty will expire in mid-April, I need to have the malfunction fixed ASAP.

Remark :

The freezer of my refrigerator in kitchen, and another freezer in garage always keep temperature at -18 degree.

Desired outcome: Have the malfunction fixed ASAP.

I wish that I could post pictures of this screen right now. It's not the streaming services, it the friggin' tv!

LG Electronics Dishwasher

I hv purchased a LG dishwasher on 27 Dec 2021 which was delivered on 1st Jan 2022. On 4 Jan 2022, the demo guy came and gave some preliminary demo about usage (without running). In fact he found some spoons & fork inside the new (?) machine. Then on 9 Jan 2022, late evening detergents kit was delivered. The person who wanted to fill the salt didn’t find any funnel which should come with the machine. Anyway he filled the salt by maki g a paper cone. Then from 10th Jan 2022, we started using the machine. We are a family of 3 persons. On 25th Jan 2022, we observed that the dishes were not dried up after the wash. Had no idea so didn’t react. Then on 26th Jan 2022, we found there was an “HE” error message on the control panel. The same was reported to lg customer care. Also before this I sent an email to lg india complaining about the spoons which were found inside the machine as well as no accessories being supplied. I raised my doubts if the machine supplied was a brand new or a used piece. There was a reply asking about the invoice copy, which I sent by replying to that mail. After that till now no reply from LG. Only receiving calls for replacing the damage parts and to do troubleshooting. I m objecting to this as I demand that the machine be replaced. Today again they call to visit my home to do checking/ troubleshoot which I denied. I want the machine be replaced as malfunctioning after using for 15 days is not acceptable. Till date lg has not come out with a solution nor they are replying to my email.

I'm sorry to hear of your recent experiences with your new LG dishwasher.

LG's dishwasher design is a European form used by many of today's popular manufacturers. This design eliminates the use of a heating element at the bottom of the dishwasher's tub and does something called condensation dry. This process is more of an enhanced air-drying system which takes a longer period of time but is more environment friendly. It also means that there isn't a specific hot-spot in the tub so plastics can be placed anywhere one wishes.

There is some concern as to "filling salt in a made up paper cone" as this is not part of any standard practice and may be the reason for the eventual error. You should only use the dishwasher as outlined in the owners' instructions.

The "HE" error refers to the internal water heater which keeps the tub water at a proper temperature for cleaning. The authorized LG service personnel are only allowed to assist in servicing the unit. Any replacements must be accomplished though the retailer you purchased the item though.

LG Electronics Front End Loader Washer

My 8 month old washer stopped draining 22 days ago. I have called into you guys to schedule a technician. I was told the company doing the warranty repair would contact me to setup an appointment. 1 week went buy and nothing. I contacted LG and complained. They said they would try contacting a repair person again and that they were probably behind or short staffed. Week 2 goes by and I call again. Same story. Now the guy on the phone gives me a number to text keeping him updated on the repair. I keep texting him updates. Week 3 comes and ends and I decide to stop texting because I am not getting a response. I decided to call. I complained that this is totally rediculous. He contacts the repair people and I find out he ( LG Rep ) messed up something on his end. He then schedules me another appointment. The repair person shows up today and diagnosis the problem and tells me he can't fix it for 2 more weeks. 5 weeks of forking over money at a laundromat when I have a new washer at home.

Desired outcome: I feel that there are going to more issues with this washer and would like to be refunded my cost of laundry for 5 weeks and a new washer.

LG Electronics lg model GSL4601CEV {icemaker}

dear sir/madam
i recently had an engineer down to me to examine an icemaker problem
not making ice he fitted a new icemaker and never worked he also left all the secure ring screws out of the icemaker i have been trying to contact lg ireland and been put on long finger
this has been going on now for a couple of months the fridge is still under warranty
so after so much waiting i am asking for a new fridge to be given to me
as a matter of fact it does not look like the part he replaced is new but looks like my old unit

LG Electronics TV/ My refund check never mailed, or has it ?

After the Blue Line down my 70" TV could not be repaired and still under warranty I was sent a shipping label, but not provided with a box ! The returns department received my TV the 20th of December 2021. First I was told my check went in the mail the 27th of December. The next time I called it was mailed the 31st of December. Today is the 23rd of January and I still have not received my check. I wonder are they really going to send my check? Also, this whole process started in October ! Every time I called to inquire about my repair customer service treated me very rude. At one point I was told the service ticket was cancelled ! I wrote a letter to Cho Jun- Ho. Never heard from him. One would think a company the size of LG would have better procedures.

LG Electronics My fridge plastic shelf's all cracked.

I need to know what you will do about my fridge plastic all cracking? I see I'm not the only one having this issue. I will gather as many people as I can to resolve this issue. Every plastic shelf has a crack in it. One shelf I had to throw away because it would not stay on, due to cracking. It will cost me over $600 to replace all the shelves. This fridge will not last long.

LG Electronics 2018 65" oled tv

First of all this is not a complaint, but a Thank You. I just couldn't find anywhere else to post this.
I purchased an OLED in 2/2018, I realized I was probably buying "bleeding edge" technology but I was sold on the picture. Everything was great for a couple of years then color quality started to go bad quickly. When the brightness started to fail, I decided I had to bite the bullet and replace it, probably with something other than LG. As a last ditch effort to save a little money I called a local TV repair shop that has a very good reputation to see If it could be repaired at a reasonable cost. once he surveyed the situation and did a diagnostic check he contacted the local LG repair representative, Windsor Electronics. To my delight I was told that even though the warranty was 1 year LG would stand behind the product and replace the screen. It took a few weeks because of the Holidays but they came out this morning and replaced the screen. The picture is wonderful, probably better than when it was new. Had to pay a small labor fee but it was a bargain. It's a pleasure to see a company stand behind their products and go out of the way to make a customer happy.

LG Electronics LG LDT5678ST dishwasher

We owned this dishwasher for less than 2 years. We were starting to run a load of dishes when we noticed a horrible electrical fire smell coming from the dishwasher. We quickly turned the unit off and flipped the breaker. We pulled the unit out and immediately saw smoke coming from beneath the unit. On the electrical/motor under the unit, it was obviously smoke-stained. Three weeks later, sitting in the garage, we can still smell the electrical fire smell coming from the unit. We reached out to LG as concerned consumers who simply wanted to return the unit, so far to no avail.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of the purchase price of the unit and removal of the unit from our premises

I am SICK AND TIRED of endless updates that do absolutely NOTHING AND the fu-king thing telling me I have to login… DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY ANYTHING FROM LG!

LG Electronics French Door Refrigerator

I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator 11-27-2015. My daughter had the same model. Both of these refrigerators stopped working at 5 years because the compressors failed and the cost to repair was high. LG is selling a defective product (Linear Compresor) and should reimburse customers for the inconvenience. Investing thousands of dollars in a product that needs to be replaced after only 5 years is unreasonable.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement for portion of replacement unit
