For some time now I have been without the round ice maker in my refer, it worked for about 9 months or so then suddenly quit and has not worked since.
Yes before you ask two things. First the filter was changed at the prescribed interval, each time purchasing the recommended LT1000P. Second the ice maker in the door is working and has always worked, I spent extra money to get the round ice because I liked it so much. But now you can have you refer back as far as I'm concerned and I will purchase on that works longer than just a few months.
Oh yes I did contact LG back Oct 17 2023 I was connected to a bright young man and we spent what seemed like an hour on the phone testing and re-testing everything about the round ice maker. The technician informed me that the unit that makes the round ice was defective and he would arrange form me to get a new one in the mail. He sent me this IP address so I could down load the necessary steps and software.
As of this date I have not received the new round ice maker or any other contact from LG. If this is the way you people do business I will let everyone know not to purchase you products, why because support is no exist.

LG clothes washer "repair"
I called LG when there was a problem with the clothes washer would not finish the spin cycle. I eventually was put in touch with a service person who took the information which included the model number and the age of the machine. He had me run the washer through a cycle and the same problem occurred.
He then told me it would be necessary to have a technician come. I agreed. I was told that they would take my credit card information and bill me when the repairs were completed.
The next day they put a hold on my credit card for $401.35. The next day the technician came. He told us that the machine could not be repaired because the parts necessary were no longer available. I called LG again and "Andrew" took my information and said he would send it to his manager to resolve my complaint for a refund.
Today I received an email "Repair Receipt" with a charge of $371.69. The receipt listed the "service fee" of $349.00!
I certainly agree that a nominal service fee can be charged. But given the fact that they knew or should have known parts were unavailable I should have been told that the minimum fee was $349. Especially since I can buy a brand new machine for $700.
Desired outcome: A service fee of $150 plus tax and a credit back to my account for the difference.
Overcharged repair service without refund
Our LG dryer started to show the error code D80 which means air flow is restricted, I hired professional duct cleaner but error code was still snowing.
I called LG to set up out of warranty repair! They told me that diagnosis is $125 but I should pay the flat fee of $350 and if I need to repair that’s including everything! But if I decide not to repair and the person comes for only diagnostics, they promised me to refund the money minus $125 (diagnostic fee) . Technician came, checked everything! Only thing he could think of was lint has wax build up so direct us to clean but didn’t need a repair! So I called LG to ask for a refund! She told me that it will be refunded but it takes a month so I waited, but never got refund, so I called them back and they told me that because it was flat rate service, money will not be refunded! I spoke with supervisor, they did investigate our initial conversation with a representative and I . They confirmed that I was told by an agent that they will refund if I don’t repair! Out of warranty department requested billing department for a refund, they rejected! I submitted the claim for president, next day I got the text saying that because I agree to pay flat rate, I will not be refunded! Which I NEVER AGREED ON AND THEY HAVE CONFIRMED RECORDING ! Still haven’t got my money back and I submitted claim again and this time they IGNORED my email completely and they never reached out to me! I can’t believe a big company like this can SCAM people for small amount of money.

Good evening,
I am writing this email to express my serious dissatisfaction with your LG fridge and your authorised repairers.
I purchased my fridge less than two and a half years ago for $2,700.00 plus delivery.
I live alone and as a result the fridge gets minimal use and is in as brand new condition as it can get.
On Thursday last week the fridge stopped working.
My issues are as follows:
Your authorised service agent initially advised I should look to replace the fridge because it was outside the two year warranty.
When I refused on the basis of that I cant afford to replace a $3,000 fridge every two and a half years they then decided that, at that cost maybe its worth looking at repairing it.
I provided all the details they requested and then 24 hours later they requested a photograph of the model number. Simply because they couldn’t read an email properly.
Once they apologised they still could not assign a technician to just inspect it and get a diagnosis.
Fortnuately there is a second authorised repairer and they will be attending albeit at significant cost.
Notwithstanding this I consider that under the ACCC laws that your company is required to either repair the fridge for free or replace it at no cost because in this instance. Under those laws the product fails because it has not proved to be of acceptable quality and for a $3000 fridge freezer less than 2.5years this is not considered to be a reasonable life.
I am sure that you would agree with me and every other consumer that a 2.5 year lifespan for a fridge is not a reasonable life particularly given the immaculate way I have maintained and used the appliance.
This fact is supported by ABC News on abc.net.au where by they advise the lifespan of a fridge is generally between 6 and 13 years dependant upon price. I am sure, we agree that your product I purchased should be expected to be very much closer to 13 years than 6.
Further Choice magazine reported that 6 years should be the minimum amount of time you should expect trouble free operation of your fridge frezzer appliance regardless of the price or quality.
Samsung, your direct competitor have listed on their web site that consumers can expect between 10 to 15 years out of their fridges. This product I would consider to be directly comparable to yours.
As a final matter I have attached the ACL Guidance that clearly identifies you have a responsibility to repair my fridge at no cost to me or replace this item free. Notwithstanding the fact I have incurred significant personal cost already in terms food lost and the general cost and inconvenience of living without a fridge.
I have also attached a copy of proof of purchase to verify my statements as being true and correct.
I expect a reply to this email by 5:00 pm Wednesday 25/10/2023 so we can resolve this issue as soon as possible and I can have a fridge again.

Call made to customer service. The warranty only covers for technicians to come out an access problem. If deemed unrepairable there is no exchange for a new tv. With the last update sent out to tv it appears to have fried something in this tv. The screen does a screeching sound and the appearance on the screen is all messed up. The screeching sound os so loud it scared my children and hurt their ears and caused them to cry. Factory reset done three times. Doesn’t not fix it at all! This tv is only 2 years old and we’re out of $2000.00 on a tv. Apparently the customer service supervisor would not honor any kind of warranty. I’m not recommending this product to anyone! Piss poor made product! This happened this month October 2023.

I ordered a TV online. It was paid for August 17th and I was told it would be delivered by August 31st. It is now October 18th and the TV has not been delivered. In between this time, I have spoken to 10 customer service agents, 2 customer service supervisors, emailed the customer service department and went on the site to email the president. Nobody has given me a reason why the TV has not been delivered and they keep saying they will reach out to their delivery department. The 2 supervisors said they would follow up personally and get back to me within 2 days. Neither of the 2 got back to me. The email the president is a joke. I got a text from somebody named Alexis 9 days ago saying she was a presidential liaison and she would follow up. I heard nothing from her and a week later I texted her I would like the President to review my case. She said the President was too busy. I tried to call the number and it did not go through. I am not even sure Alexis is a real person. In my 53 years on this planet I have never experienced a worse customer service system than LG. I have spent over 6 hours of my personal time waiting in queues, writing emails, and speaking to non-responsive, ineffective employees. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT PURCHASING LG BASED ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SYSTEM.

LG 70" WebOS TV
TV is six months old, it has been wall mounted the entire time. Today, 10-15-2023, suddenly for no reason, black lines appeared in the middle of the screen. LG support LIES and says it is impact damage and is not covered under warranty. There is and never was any impact damage whatsoever. LG products are over priced rubbish that come from some sweat shop in India. LG would rather lie to its customers than to stand behind their so called warranty. My advise to everyone is to never buy any LG product. Everything they make is garbage, and their warrantees are worthless.
Dishwasher
We purchased the quad dishwasher in 2018. We used the unit as directed to and completed any upkeep as needed. Due to faulty manufacturing the panel board cracked and the unit is now useless. The warranty and customer service is a joke and nothing can be done to fix the dishwasher. Their answer was a 15% off coupon for a new unit! Why would anyone purchase a new LG dishwasher because their practically new one was faulty and useless? There is a class action suit against LG for their dishwashers. It’s sad that a customer has to file suit against LG to get a decent product and service. Our new LG refrigerator fell apart too. LG is fixing it but only because they lost a class action suit against them for that model. I will never purchase an LG appliance again-from a long time LG customer. Life is not good.

LG Customer service sucks, I have spoken to customer service reps.that were rude and nasty and hung up on me. My refrigerator was not working, they sent out. technican named J. he came out messed around with my refrigerator and then it stopped working all together. it took him 1 week to come back then he called himself fixing again it did not work. I had to throw out 600.00 worth of food that i brought for my family of 8 and then each day spend a minimum of 150 to feed them breakfast lunch and dinner each day. LG Customer Service really sucks no one cares and they are rude as they can be. I have contacted customer support twice. Both times I have been on hold for approximately 45 minutes and nothing was resolved. We have trouble shot the machine, etc. and I am only being told that the very loud banging noise, that the machine makes, during the spin cycle is normal. It is NOT normal. I can't get any answers, they will not send a technician out here to look at it and I am receiving no help whatsoever! I feel like they are wearing me down until I just give up. This is TERRIBLE customer service! I have spent thousands of dollars on LG appliances and now I am rethinking my decision.

Good Day
We purchased a LG 1 year and 3 months ago. Very happy with the quality and performance. We were a long time Sony customer and were so happy to have made the change to LG. The purchase cost was about 5K.
1 - One year almost to the day our TV stopped working. They came in and changed the mother board, power supply and an additional part.
2 - Three months later the issue reoccurred... they came back and changed the mother board, power supply again.
3 - The tech turns on the TV and the TWO components and the Screen burned up immediately...
4 - The tech wrote a report advising that the TV had a number of issue and needed all new parts. Mind you this TV is only a bit over one year old.
I call and was able to speak to a gentleman named Fernando Prince (introduced himself as an assistant to the President of LG). He explained that LG Policy is to repair the TV 3 times and if it fails in 90 days, they will then request a replacement or credit towards a new TV. We are now on week number 5 with this issue... and have received all components including a new Screen so that the tech can install in 7-10 days. When I followed up with Francisco, he without much sympathy said that all that LG will do...
I ask you... How much confidence would you have in a product or company with above experience. I ask that same question to LQ president's assistant and it did not seem he was too concern about it.
I am going to report this to the BBB and as many platforms as I can. I already sent an email to my local news (Chanel 7) for their consumer outline reports. They replied to me immediately and advised we are to have a phone interview soon.
I WILL NOT EVER buy any LG product because of the response, NOT due to the failure. I understand that it may be an isolated case... but Fernando actions or non-actions really pointed out how much LG cares about their clients.

Approximately 19 months ago I purchased an OLED TV from Amazon. A week ago the TV started to shut down after a few seconds of turning it on. I called a LG representative. He had me go thru a series of steps to see if the problem could be fixed. No luck. Said I would need to call an LG technician to look at the tv. I Called all 3 LG techs in my area and left a voice mail for each one to call back. No response of any of the 3 technicians. I finally called a local repair technician. After the diagnostics were completed, he said the display screen panel was bad.
I called Amazon to find out if I had any recourse. Amazon said to call LG.
I called LG and they suggested that I go thru a series of steps again with a LG technician that never returned any of my calls the first time! And btw sorry the warranty is good for one year only. This is the help/support I received.
Desired outcome: Nothing was offered. Couldn't tell me if the tv could be repaired. Didn't no how much it would cost to replace the screen or if it could be repaired.Would not buy another LG tv.

Purchased range 6/1/23. Two weeks later, the black caps on the burner heads had the paint peeling off. I cleaned these caps as per directions in the manual. I called the parts dept at [protected] and sent pictures to show the damage. I was sent two new black caps and the same thing happened after two weeks. Peeling caps make the stove look ugly. I spoke to an engineer and was informed that these caps did not have heat resistant paint used on them. This is a manufacturing defect. WE NEED HELP! I purchased an LG refrigerator in July 2022 from Home Depot. It wasn't delivered until a month after that. I have an elderly lady in my apartment who has been complaining since the beginning of 2023 of it not keeping cold and not making ice. We are now 1000.00 into repairs. After replacing everything possible, it is registering 85 degrees in the fridge and has one piece of ice in the freezer. We are now advised to purchase a new one. We are extremely concerned about her health in that she has been eating food not properly maintained. Warranty/No warranty, this unit should not be failing. Home Depot suggested that we only had 90 days warranty, so we hired our own service person to be able to service it QUICKLY due to the woman's age. The repairs started in early 2023 before the 1 year manufacturer warranty expired. This is NOT my first LG appliance to fail. However, I do know that LG customer service was very good to us on the first appliance and because of that, we have continued to purchase LG. I am now rethinking that decision. but for NOW, praying that they will honor this refrigerator as well. I really can't afford to keep buying LG Appliances.
Desired outcome: Reimburse the repair expenses and REPLACE this refrigerator. There is nothing that is going to make it work. Our repair person is very competent.

I will never ever buy LG products ever again they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. so my TV went black one day and so I called support and they made me do all the stupid [censored] that support makes you do. And so nothing worked like usual and they said its going to need a repair so they sent a repairman out and he came and changed the main board and then said that it wasn't the main board, it was the panel that
went out and that the panels too expensive to fix and that LG is probably going to just give me a new TV so I contact LG to see what the status is ang guess what they want to send another [censored]ing tech out. So now I have to wait another month for these dumb [censored]s to fix the TV instead of just sending me a new TV it's not even an expensive TV it's just a LED TV. And then the support people are so rude and would end my chat sessions and just being very unhelpful.
LG A/C Unit
LG has the worst customer service ever! We will never buy another LG appliance again. I’ve spent well over the cost of a new unit of my time in dealing with this garbage and it’s still NOT resolved! The new A/C unit has still not been sent out. More promises every day and still NOTHING!
Spend your money on another brand!
Our A/C went out in our house over a month ago. Tech went out and repaired it (took one week for this to happen) and it was broken again within 48 hours. He came back out and said it needed a complete new unit. (This was another week)
We didn’t receive a new unit for another week because they didn’t order it right away.
Received new unit on the 14th - which was delivered on the 14th - in the rain. No one called beforehand like they said they would - so it sat outside in the rain all day.
Technicians don’t install the new units - when my husband went to put it in - the new unit was damaged.
I have called / talked on chat EVERY day since then and no one has been able to help me - everyone says they will escalate it and nothing happens - it’s all false promises and lies.
For over a week of me calling / chatting - no one ever said we need you to cut the serial number plate off of the unit and send us that picture - it wasn’t until I asked did someone finally say yes that’s what we’re waiting on! 😡
Thankful someone reviewed my claim weeks prior to tell me what I was missing and what was holding up the process of them shipping my new unit out. 🙄🙄 #thisdidnthappen
So here we are over a month later - over a week now since I sent in all of the correct pictures and still no new unit on the way. When I call and ask for a supervisor I get no where.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that there isn’t anyone capable at LG’s customer service that can actually do what they say they are going to do and take care of the customer!

Desired outcome: Replace the unit and refund me my money in full or partial for the amount of time I’ve had to spend dealing with this - I’ve called on a daily basis!!!!
