Leon's Furniture bedroom set

I ordered a bedroom set online last as it was on sale. Since I order that, I order my living room furniture as well. I was contacted that there was a price error on their system and the price is really listed low. They did not honor it and they just simply refunded me with no compensation. However, they brought the living room set which was a better deal for them. Really disappointed with their service.

Leon's Furniture damaged hardwood flooring

Hello,

As discussed a few minutes ago, please find attached photographs of the damage to our floor.
The delivery crew accidentally dropped the new couch damaging our hardwood floor during the setup process on Saturday July 13, 2019.
One crew member photographed the damage prior to leaving our condo.

Please advise as to the steps that will be taken to repair the damage.

The response was, as we signed a waiver that was described by the sales person that they are not responsible for elevator damages. Turns out they can damage any of your property without recourse!
I have asked for a manager from Leon's to contact me without any response.

Leon's Furniture sectional

I had my sectional delivered today. 10 minutes later I called the store to indicate that I was not happy with the sectional. It did not feel like the one on the showroom floor. It is very hard and stiff. I asked if I could exchange for a more expensive leather sectional, and was told I could not. I thought for sure there was some sort of 24 hour exchange policy. No where on my invoice that the salesperson gave me did it state no refunds or exchanges. I called the ministry of consumer services and they suggested I write to your head office. I am willing to cover the cost of shipping it back to the store. I just hate the thought of being stuck with something im not happy with. I am a returning customer and would continue to return should this be rectified. Also I found the two women from the store I spoke with in regards to this matter to be quite rude.

Dear Leon's. The commercial where they say Leon, with a french accent, and sit in their sitting room is the most annoying commercial to date. I turn off the tv or change the channel. I will never step foot in your store again.

On 18/10/05 ordered a sectional in Walnut Brown told it wouldn't be in until early Jan. We understood that. Told then Jan 16 it would arrive. No couch no call yet. Leon's Furniture orillia salesperson and unethical sales practices.

I sent this to "Dana Jerry" after a full afternoon on the phone... back and forth... with the sales woman. I received no reply or call, to rectify or explain this type of behaviour.
I am a professional Canadian Forces retiree and have never encountered this, in any online purchases I've made, when a credit card is simple. Kind Regards, Diane Falk

Hi Dana,

Thank you for reaching out. When I called your location, it was to confirm an order I wanted to place online. I called and talked with (Denise?) and told her that I was only interested in knowing how much assembly was required on a dresser. I explained that I was going to order it all online. She went into "sales tactics" which led me to believe it would be easier to order from her. I couldn't understand the $50 deposit and all the stress of a "WIRE transfer". Who makes wire transfers to a huge company like yours? Primitive at best, this is not good practise for the average consumer.

I thought I misunderstood and after reading the instructions, I called back. At that point, she told me I would need to physically go to the bank. I live in Severn Bridge and explained that I was definitely not going out of my way to wire money, when I can order the entire purchase online. I was angry and upset that someone would make a person go through all that trouble, when she could have easily told me not to worry about assembly requirements. I wasted hours of my day, trying to understand this method of payment and the service I received on the phone.

It is unacceptable, for your sales staff to try and convince a customer to buy anything through this method, when a credit card will simply do the job online. This leads me to believe that Denise may be getting commission on the sales, instead of offering the best customer service possible. She was very good at trying to manipulate this sale. I talked to my family and we all agree that the email and attachment, DO NOT look professional. Sending a large amount of money to a CIBC account that has no details regarding your store... seems illegal and looks as though it's going into someone's personal account. I am going to discuss this method with my lawyer and show her the email attachment.

For this reason, I intend to go to the better business bureau and yelp. I am a 34 year retired veteran and don't expect this type of run-around, from a store that has been in business for so long.

Don't feel bad I end up with a used sectional that was in the entrance at xmas time.
Requested to remove my sofa that I was obligated to pay for in advance over the phone "Illegal"
Found 2 used condoms in the sectional and sperm in the console.
Still waiting for one lazy boy that I waited almost 5 months and once I raised my voice Mike Harnack shipped me the damaged lazy boy that was returned by another client
So spent over $2, 000 and I sit at my patio table in my living room.
Mike Harnack accused me of posting publicly on Facebook which is an absolute lie it was via messenger but Mike Harnack is not familiar with Facebook
I still want the new lazy biy I paid for 9 months ago.
No help and they refused to even reply to my messages.
Hope I get some help from head office otherwise I will post it publicly on Facebook and I will see Leon's in court

Leon's Furniture broken bed drawers

Purchased in March. Delivered in April with broken drawers. Took over a week to get a hold of someone at Richmond store. Delivered a new set of drawers. New drawers broken again. Couldn't get a hold of anyone at the store. I left messages but no one called back. A week later finally got a hold of a supervisor who agreed to deliver and install set of drawers that are not broken as well as refund $300. It's been over 3 weeks and haven't heard from her. Left 3 messages last week but no called back.

Leon's Furniture range

I bought a range. Samsung. The stove clicks every ten seconds the whole time it is on. Called Leon's told no return policy. Nothing of the kind was mentioned to me. How sneaky. salesman lied about everything. I asked if I could bring back he said yes. Asked if problems do I deal with Leon's, he said yes. When I tried to deal with Leons they said deal with Samsung.
Been bounced bs k and forth..
I am willing to buy an upgraded stove and pay the difference.
I cannot believe that the consumer has no rights here st all.

I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the story would be the same.
I am so upset.
I cannot believe I have no rights.

Leon's Furniture sofa recliner

On September 20, 2018 we bought a sofa recliner in Leon's, 6825-11 street S.E. Calgary, AB.T2H2S1. Our sales person was AMARJEET K

Within the first two months there was a problem with the foot rest of the recliner. It was coming apart at the seam. After many emails and calls finally someone came to look at it. The fellow said" Oh no problem I will order the part and we will change it out but it might take some time. Three months later still nothing so I contacted them again. Oh it's coming from China will be here the first week in June. Nothing ? Called again and the woman said Oh we will call you when it comes. Told her this was five months and it was not Acceptable. I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager did call back and saidOh we will give you a store credit for the recliner and the warranty and you can come in and pick out something else but you will have to pay the extra if it cost more. Not one thing in the store even close to the price. Your warranty is not worth the paper it is written on! It should have been repaired or REPLACED for us.
You are a huge store and I am now reading all the comments from people you are ripping off. They sold a lot of those recliners and I can tell you I will buy nothing else from your store and will tell everyone I see or can what you have done.
When we first moved here we bought several things from your store and was very pleased with the product! Can't tell you how angry I now am at the treatment we received. If that's the type of service you give people there will be hundreds more that will never cross your doors again.
We have thought of buying more items in your store but not now! Don't understand how you can treat people this way. No customer service at all! Warranty just a joke.

Leon's Furniture service

I Purchased an Entertainment unit from Leons at Brampton. and they gave me the product without the steel frame.
Not sure how can they give a unit with a missing part, called the customer care they informed that they will send a replacement unit within 10 days, waited for 10 days and then called them back they informed the product is available and they cannot deliver it as everyone is busy at the store.
Really bad service and will not recommend it to any one and this will be my last purchase from Leons.

Leon's Furniture online service

I purchased a washer/dryer combo online from the Gander Newfoundland website..I used my visa debit to make the purchase...the next morning I received a phone call from the gander location telling me this product is not available in Newfoundland only Ontario...As far as I'm concerned it should've stated that before it let me do the transaction...It still let the purchase go through taking the money from my bank account...I never received either confirmation email about the purchase...So now I have to wait to hopefully get my money back...Not a happy shopper..
