La-Z-Boy - plain out lying

I Purchased a couch and two recliners on November 19. I was told that they would be delivered shortly after Thanksgiving. Well it's a week past Thanksgiving, and when I reached out and contacted Doug Kyger, I was told that they are still "in the production", meaning there is no known time of delivery. He told me that he would check on the status and return my call. Obviously I have gotten no returned call. I called customer service this morning, and was told that it would probably not be until sometime in January before I received my furniture. This is completely unacceptable! I feel like I have been completely deceived and lied to. I don't know how this is going to end, but I do know that I will never ever purchase anything from La-Z-Boy again. Doug obviously knew at the time he was lying to me that my furniture was not going to arrive anywhere near the time he said it would. He makes salesmen look like slime! We just recently purchased a new home, and I currently have a rocking chair and two camp chairs in my living room. My daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters will be here on the 22nd. I have no idea where I'm going to put anybody. Worst purchase of my life.

I found out their all liars in the middle TN Lazy Boy stores in this area. You should listen to my experience with my recliner at the Murfreesboro Store. A recliner from Hell! And, the stalling tactics on the part of the store, the manager, and the run around I was given the subsequently the battle on communications getting my money back.

Never doing business ever again with Lazy Boy.

ps. The chair crashed and burned, within 2 days after receiving it, ( after it taking 6 weeks to get ordered ). The repairman came out, jury rigged it to work temporarily. Took another 3-4 weeks for parts. Then, it never worked right again after that. The tech came back and basically said, he could do nothing else for it. If I didn't believe it go back to the show room floor and measure the model myself to see, so I put myself out to do, so and it was off by a few inches. There was something wrong infact. Asked the store manager to do something, which he said, he only could if the higher ups said or approved it was ok ? ( And I paid extra warranty money! ) So, finally after waiting for so long, I called the credit card company and told them what was going on. They were like, "What?" We'll investigate.

Meanwhile, when I called the store back, they were busy trying to tell me, "Oh no you can't bring the chair back, you've had it too long. We can't do that." I said, "So, you're going to hold 6 weeks of order time against me that I never had the chair, because you hadn't built it yet ?" really ? I have a better idea. "You just come and get your truck and get the chair right now." They say, "Oh, we have no authorization for our pick up center etc." Well, I can take care of that, "Why don't I just get a truck and carry it to you then?'

Better still, since you don't want to do anything, let the bank take care of it. So, then due to their terrible communications, they were still having their repair man finally calling me up to send people to come out to repair. Why is this so hard ? Am I speaking a foreign language? "come get chair."

Well, the bank did it's job. $ But, that chair is still setting here. And, you know what else ? That chair has gotten worse! So, worse that it "self-destructed itself further." I kid you not. Even actually today, the motorized remote when I went back in it, there was a crunching sound, splitting sound, crackle snap-pop, and the back rest fell to a negative 45 degrees backwards towards the floor and I almost feel out of it! I tried to hit the button to get back up, and then the chair jammed even worse side-ways! Then, there was another grinding sound, gear jamming sound, wood cracking... I barely got out of the chair alive :(

So, IF you're reading this Lazy Boy, you get yourselves over here and pick this god-awful chair up, and take it back to the factory, and have it condemned, and set it on fire! Before it kills someone.

There is such a thing called product safety you know, customer service, and not scamming your customers.

I'll never step foot into another Lazy Boy Store again. Jesus wept.
