I would have taken this directly to Kohl's customer service page, but, that yields "you are not authorized to access this page." A funny way to accept customer concerns.
I have been bombarded with emails advertising an extra 30 percent off when you use your Kohl's card during this sale. So, I want to buy a few things, and was told "it doesn't apply to those brands." The email ads didn't say "For these brands" or "except for these brands," it said, during this sale when you use your Kohl's card. (The items were all on sale.) The store staff evidenced no desire (and probably no training or authority) to do anything to fix this. Neither did the person at the 800# they finally gave me. Kohl's made a promise to lure me to the store, then reneged on it. I'm about to label all emails from Kohl's as span, cancel my card, and see if there is a more honest store to buy clothes at. Having to fight them to honor their commitments just isn't worth it.
Claimed loss: $35
Desired outcome: Maybe they'll sell me the two pairs of pants and a shirt I bought, at the reduced price they promised, but I'm not holding my breath. I had the store staff return everything and cancel all charges.
