JPMorgan Chase overdraft protection scam

I've got Business Checking, Business Savings, and a Business Credit Card with these thieves. I'm gonna use rough figures for what happened...

Checking had $800. Savings had $2000. Credit card, on which I have Auto-Pay, was coming due with $920, and the Auto-Pay comes from the Checking.

So the Credit Card due date comes, and the Checking Account is $120 short. So what do they do? They take $150 from the Credit Card, put it in Checking, and then use that to pay the Credit Card.

THEY BORROWED FROM MY CREDIT CARD TO PAY MY SAME CREDIT CARD! AND THEN THEY STARTED ATTACHING FEES TO THIS "SERVICE."

They charged the Checking $12.00, and now they're charging interest on the credit card for some crazy small print reason even though I've never run a balance. Unreal. And of course Customer Service isn't offering a refund.

JPMorgan Chase horrible service and bad banking

My mortgage was sold to Chase and I have had nothing but problems with them since. True I was a couple of months behind, but when I caught up, they had everything so screwed up, I had to get an accountant to go over what they did because their website is unclear with their transaction history and they send out statements before payments are due. I was only two payments late and they sent people to my house and had collectors calling me. It is to the point where I am about to walk away from the house just so I don't have to deal with them. Their customer service sucks also. I called to asked what my next month's payment would be (I have an ARM and they sent me a notice about my new payment letter) and I didn't have it in front of me and called to ask what it was and it took 1/2 hour for them to tell me what they sent me a letter on). Nowhere was that information available on the website. (By the way it was only one penny cheaper). They SUCK! Their customer service SUCKS and I am thinking of forclosing just so I don't have to deal with them for another day!

JPMorgan Chase refund of overpayment

i am so freakin' ANGRY that I have still haven't received the $1600 back from Chase from refi-ing (the taxes were paid twice, by Chase and the escrow company). I refi'd in November. I visited the tax office and was told Chase's payment was returned Dec 22nd. I filed a 'work order' in early January with Chase...they said call back in two weeks, I called back and was told 'check was mailed yesterday, you'll have it in 7-10 days' (where's their office? GUAM?) I called again last week, 'it was mailed yesterday, you'll have it in 7-10 days'...i JUST called again, 'it was mailed yesterday, wait 7-10 days'...man, i lost it on her.

JPMorgan Chase jp morgan chase lies. fraudulent business practices.

In a nutshell, I am writing this because I want the world to know jp morgan chase, and chase auto finance as a whole cannot be trusted. Anything credit related that this company tells you is a blatant lie.

I financed my vehicle over two years ago at an extremely high interest rate. I was ok with paying this interest rate in the hopes of rebuilding credit. I was told by a chase auto finance representative that if I paid on time for 12 months, I could simply refinance and get automatically approved guaranteed. So in 2010 I applied for refinancing and was declined. Bear in mind I have never missed a payment. Again in 2011 I applied to refinance, and surprise, declined. I called a manager at the chase auto customer service branch and explained to me that the loan rep told me I would be 100 percent eligible for a refinance so long as I paid on time. The manager pretty much said "oh well"

Now I am stuck with a 28 percent interest loan, as a result of fraudulent information given to me by jp morgan chase.

If you lie to chase or any other bank on an application for credit they can prosecute you for fraud. If they lie to you, they apparently suffer zero consequences.

Let this be a warning: never trust a word that any representative of jp morgan chase tells you regarding credit.

They could care less about you, your credit, or the harm their fictitious information may cause.

JPMorgan Chase harrassment

Chase foreclosed on my home 6/30/2010 after accepting a short-sale offer they stopped all contact with my realtor and let the house foreclose. They eventually sold the home for less than what I had it short-saled for and offered many incentitives to the realtors and buyers. Approximately 3-months later I received a call from Chase that also held my equity line of credit. I told the person calling that I no longer owned the home and told him the chain of events. This was in Sept. Approximately every 90-days the same man calls and tells me that I owe Chase money and how do I intend on paying. In March 2010 my attorney wrote Chase a letter explaining to them the foreclosure laws in Arizona. In the Summer of 2011 I received a call from a recovery company in Las Vegas stating that Chase had put my account with them and they had every intention of collecting and they didn't care what my attorney said, if Chase says I owe the money then they are going to collect it. Chase claims they never got the March 2011 letter from the attorney (of course). I faxed the attorney's letter to this recovery company and called them the next morning to verify that they had gotten it, I was told they were on a "Cease & Desist" from contacting me. They had called my attorney and he explained the laws of our state. Approximately 1 month ago I received a call from a collection company in Houston that Chase has now turned me over to. It is bad enough that I have a foreclosure on my credit report, now Chase is continuing to damage my credit by turning me over to any collection agency that promises them they will collect. I have not owned the property in 18-months. When does this harrassment stop?

JPMorgan Chase did not advice of risks in investments

In September of 2009, I had gone to my local Chase Bank and deposited $17, 000.00. A bank investment officer approached me and I told him I was interested in a savings account where I could make more than a regular passbook savings account. He told me that he could get me in to a savings account that would guarantee me a 5% return on my investment every year.

Well, I should have known that was a lie. He kept promising me a 5% return on my money and signed me into a high risk, long term investment with an insurance company. Since being signed into this investment, I have been steadily losing money from my initial investment. I have contacted Chase Investment Services Corp. and asked for a return of my money, which has been refused. The investigating officer said I signed the documents and I had a 14 day "free look" provision to cancel the order.

I think everyone, sometime in their life, has been duped into signing for something they didn't need or that was not best for them. The investment officer kept telling me how I would make 5% on my money every year and coerced me into signing the documents.

Shortly after signing the documents, I left for a 6 month excursion to China. My leaving the country was known by the investment officer because we discussed my trip while I was with him. He knew I would not be available for the 14 day "free look" provision that the investigating officer with Chase Investment Security Corp. had told me I had been provided a few days after signing the documents. Since I was out of the country I never had the opportunity for the "free look".

When I told the Chase Investment Services Corp. investigating officer this, he wanted to know why I hadn't reported this fact right away upon my return. I explained that I waited until the first year was up to see if I got my 5% return as I was promised.

I didn't get a 5% return on my money. In fact I lost almost $700.00 on my initial investment.

Chase Investment Services Corp. seems to target investors and then dupe them into signing into risky investment accounts. When you complain that you have been cheated, they fall back on the "you signed the documents, too bad". Their "free look" provision meant nothing in my case since I was out of the country and unable to review the documents thoroughly. When it comes to investments take heed in the old adage of "let the buyer beware" when it comes to dealing with Chase.

Now, I am stuck with a $10, 000.00 losing proposition and tied into an account for 7 years. I am already retired and certainly did not need another long term account. I am a senior citizen and can ill afford to lose my money to a cheating investment firm.

The investment officer opening the account did not advise me that this investment was hinged on the stock market and of the risks that this account posed.. Had I known that, I never would have entered into this investment. Also, I discovered afterwards that this was a sever year account with a penalty for early closure. Something else which would have made me refuse the investment if it had been disclosed to me.

I had never been informed by the bank or any of it personnel that I stood a chance of losing my investment money. I just wanted a savings account.

I feel Chase Banks and in particular Chase Investment Services Corp. is very lax in informing investors of the risks they are entering into by investing during these troubled economic times.

I wish to inform and warn fellow readers to steer clear of Chase Banks and Chase Investment Services Corp. with their investment dollars. Chase will cheat you and will not attempt to rectify their mistakes.

JPMorgan Chase poor business practices

Chase has done my husband so dirty on a home refinance. We built our home thru our local bank and they sold the loan to Chase.
We applied to refinance at a lower rate. Filled out all of the papers and a glitch was found on the deed. Legally our local bank still owned the land that the house sits on. The property had to be resurveyed before our local bank would release the land to Chase. My husband paid this extra expense. The Chase tells us that it took too long so they can not refinance without us reapplying for a loan. We lost the money that we paid Chase plus we are out the Surveyor expense. This is so wrong! Chase should of been glad that we were helping them straighten out this mess. Chase had bought a home loan...but they did NOT own the land that it was sitting on. Chasse should of Paid "us" to refinance this house. TALK ABOUT A "DIRTY BUNCH", ...CHASE FITS THE BILL!

JPMorgan Chase problems with ira rollover at chase bank

When I wanted to move my IRA funds from Chase Bank to another institution, the first banker with whom I had an appointment to do so stood me uo. Another Chase personal banker offered to help. Instead of a transfer bank to bank, she asked their IRA investment dept. to close the account and send me a check. No one evdr mentioned that one can do only one rollover every 2 months. The second bank caught the mistake and called the Chase personal banker to verify whether the transaction done 3 months earlier had indeed been a rollover.

The Chase banker lied and said she was sure the 1st transaction had been a transfer, not a rollover. So a new IRA was opened that should never have been. The financial damage to me is close to 6.000 dollars in taxes for 2011. Where can one turn to sue Chase for monetary compensation?

I was rudely treated by the manager of the chase bank. The ###’t Manager gave me her business card and wrote on the back side as being the person I would have to speak to. She said that she did not know his phone number. I have called the chase bank every working day since thaen for that phone number. No one has returned any one of my calls. Now I think I am being stonewalled. I don’t understand this rude treatment!

JPMorgan Chase false advertising and fraud

I recently financed $2700 for dental work through chase health advance. The contract I signed had a place at the bottom to intial saying I agreed to the 12 month option, $231 a month. I did not inital because I wanted the 36 month extended payment option, $100 per month, as advertised in the chase flyer the office manager at the dental office gave me. When I recieved my bill it was for the 12 month plan at $231 per month. I have been paying $104 every month but chase is still saying I am in the rears some $500 and are charging me 27.99% penalty interest on top of a $29 penalty per month and reporting me to the credit breaus. Inclosed is a copy of the contract were it clearly shows I did not inital for the 12 month plan.

JPMorgan Chase dishonest check proceedures

I sold furniture on craigslist, and the "lady" sent me a check for the furniture with an extra $2000 for shipping and movers fees. I am not stupid, I know scams happen on craigslist all the time. So I brought the check to the bank and deposited it. The next day, my online banking showed that the check had gone through. So I went to the bank and actually went inside to confirm with someone face to face that the money was there before I sent anything to the moving company. I told them that I had sold furniture online and I was skeptical about it being fraud so I confirmed with three different people in the bank, one being the manager that the check had been "cleared". Then I withdrew the amount of money I was supposed to, to send to the movers and sent it.
Yesterday (2 days later) , I received a text message saying my account was overdrafted by $1573.26. This came as a shock to me since I had $950 in the bank that morning and had spent all day at work. I left work and went to the bank and they proceeded to tell me the check had bounced. Which means it did not actually clear in the first place. I asked why I was told that it was, they said they had cleared the check in "good faith" since I had never gone negative before. They also said there is no way for me to get my money back and I am responsible for paying them the entire $1573.26 plus $30 in overdraft fees for every day my account is below $0.
The issue is that like any normal person, all of my money was in the bank. This is causing the first bad mark on my credit. I was lied to! If funds from a check were made available to me before the check had cleared I should have been informed of that. They should never have told me the check "cleared" when it never did. I also had overdraft protection on this account, a lot of good that did.
I took every precaution I could trying to protect myself from this exact thing from happening. Seeing as how I am not a banker myself, I only know what I see and what I am told. There is no way for me to know that check had not actually cleared since I was the opposite.
When confronting the bank about the situation, the exact quote the bank manager used was "the bank takes the risk when we let check funds be available before the check actually clears". Exactly, the bank takes the risk! So why am I responsible for paying back that money? The bank has insurance for this kind of thing, I on the other hand did not know I would need insurance to protect my own money in the bank. If the bank takes the risk, the bank should take the responsibility.
This is a terrible bank and I refuse to put criminals in charge of my money!

JPMorgan Chase telephone collection harassment

On August 8 (Monday) I reported the collections department for contacting us for payment when our payment due was not past the terms of our agreement. As of the 16th of any given month, if payment is not made, we are liable for late fees and it can escalate from there.

I informed the person calling to collect a debt on our residence of this and told them to not contact us until after the 15th of the month to collect your debt. This is the second time this week I have done this.

If they checked our payment history for the past 18 years, this is generally the latest payments have been made. Twice in that time period we were a little late and made sure when we did pay up the account, all late fees were paid without contacting them to cry on their shoulder to remove the charges because we could not pay it on time. This was thanks to the economic conditions life has brought upon us and we are grinning and bearing it along with paying any late fees on any account not only Chase's.

So with this in mind, I am complaining AGAIN about their habits and hopefully this will get published. They need to grin and bear it and NOT BOTHER PAYING CUSTOMERS TILL THE ACCOUNT IS TRULY PAST DUE!

JPMorgan Chase rookie loan officer

Had to be prequalified by a Chase loan officer before I could put a contract on a condo owned by Chase Bank. Submitted the preapproval & credit score. Was offered a loan package. 9/28/2011. Closing date set for 11/23/2011 a full 60days to get the loan approved. Great, my realtor gave additional info about the home. To begin the Chase loan officer kept insisting on pushing the closing date back. Why? Anyway, application fee paid, inspection ordered, appraisal ordered, comes back 11/14/2011. Listing agent finally got CHASE to agree to push the closing date back to 12/9/2011. 11/30/2011 the preferred & recommended Chase loan officer says she didnt know the closing cost were higher & the taxes were higher so my dti is beyond what they expected. Loan rejected 1 week before closing. Uhmm shouldnt the loan officer KNOW the taxes on the property day FREAKING one! Not 2 months later! Now im out 3k, and no where to live because I thought I was moving into my new home on friday.

JPMorgan Chase unfair fees that rip you off

Chase banks are nothing more than rip offs. I closed my checking accounts last year because of the monthly service fees (That were the highest of all the banks charging them) I had an ira account that I could not transfer as it had yet to mature (When I opened the ira it was wamu and was on 3 month cycles-when they went to chase they changed to 1 year. They claimed they sent me a letter—which I never received, so I asked them to resend me the letter, and that, too, I never received). Becuase I closed my checking accounts with chase, they were now charging me a $30 service fee to maintain the ira with them! That's more than I made in interest in the 5 years the ira was with them! Now that it matured and I wanted to transfer it to my credit union (The cu filled out the paperwork for me just to take to chase) , they're charging me $50 for the bank to bank transfer of the funds. Stay away from this bank if you want to keep your money—they look for ways to steal from you and rip you off with stupid fees!. And they do post the higher charges to your account first, not chronologically as it should be. The point is for you to go over your balance and they can hit you with multiple " over the limit" fees. Beware of this bank! If you have an account here, close it and go elsewhere. If you're thinking of opening an account or dealing with them in anyway===don't!

JPMorgan Chase denial of credit

When I was injured in Iraq in 2006 and later incapacitated for 3 months, Chase suspended my credit card privileges - rightfully so.To my surprise, when I called to explain the circumstances and the reasoning, followed by requesting reinstatement, I was only granted an apology and "...there is nothing we can do". My card had never been late or delinquent prior. I am puzzled...what does “We Support our Troops” really mean? Is it applicable here or am I just whining? Two other companies applaud my sacrifice, heroism; wished me a speedy recovered, followed by reinstating my privileges. When I go to there website I see all the things they are doing for members of the Armed Forces. What is missing here?

Regardless if you're at a bank teller window or at a cashier at a retail store, you never ever leave until you thoroughly count the cash that was handed to you by the employee. It is the customer's responsibility to verify the cash prior to leaving and if the customer does leave, the customer is acknowledging that the correct amount was given or else the customer would not have left. I am a supervisor at a major bank and I can tell you that bank cameras do not point down at the counter to verify the cash given instead they are there for bank robberies. The cameras point above the counter to show the face of the bank robber. Retrieving the tapes would be useless because it would have only shown your face not the money on the counter. The best way to keep bank tellers from stealing from you or making mistakes is ensuring that you count your cash prior to leaving the teller window.

Never step away from the teller's window without counting your money first. Yeah, it might annoy anyone behind you, but never leave without counting your money. Never leave the drive up window stall without counting your money. Tellers do make mistakes. However, your story about them not releasing the security tape to the branch manager and someone pretending to be Michael manning his station, as he wasn't working that day... This reeks of being made up.

JPMorgan Chase fraud

Leased a new 2010 Mazda 3 from Menlo Mazda. The car was discovered to be a stolen recovered recovered vehicle. Went to dealer to complain and was offered a new 2011 in exchange. Accepted offer and drove off in new 2011 vehicle. Following morning called dealer regarding extended warranty on 2010 vehicle. Was to by manager that the monthly payment would have to be adjusted. New payment was to be over ($50.00) per month more than previous lease. Totally unacceptable to me. For two weeks tried to resolve payment issue, dealer refused. Return 2011 and take back stolen recovered 2010. This was not acceptable to me. In the middle of the night they had the 2011 reposessed illegally and left me with no car. I had to rent a car for a week until the vehicle was replaced with a new Subaru. Recently ran a credit check and discovered that Chase illegally charged me with a reposession. The car hadn't been in my possession for over two months. Talked to New York District Attorney and found that Chase was currently under investigation for fraud. Ian out lots of money over their fraud.
