JC Penney review: Charged twice for perm at Clovis NM beauty shop

On Aug. 30, 2023 at 1:30 p.m., I took my 95 year old mother to get a haircut and perm at Clovis, NM. I gave them a check for $113.35. The manager said it didn't post to JCP's account. So I had to give them another check for the same amount. Both checks came out of my mother's account on Aug. 31. Her bank has been trying to get her money back, but nothing has been returned to date. She is in an assisted care facility and doesn't have excess money. I can send a copy of her statement if necessary. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
