JC Penney review: Horrible customer service!!!

I placed an order online for a pair of slippers. When I tried to put in my address, I noticed there was an old address from 2 years ago. I attempted to delete it, but it would not work. So I added and saved my correct address before executing the order. I confirmed the correct address was on the review page, then pressed the place order button. A week later, JCPenny sent me a confirmation of delivery notice, however they had delivered it to my old address! I called customer service immediately, but they said there wasn't anything they could do for me. I explained there is a technical issue with their website, and it was the glitch that caused the problem, but they still would not refund or replace my item. I was forced to call three different times and finally I was instructed to place a dispute on my credit card, so I did. I'm filing this complaint because of their bad business practices, and horrible customer service. To make matters worse, the old address belongs to my ex boyfriend and is over 200 miles away, so there isn't anything I can do about it. I have had no contact with him because he was abusive. I'm now scared what he will do after seeing the package with my name on it. The negligence of the people in charge of the website has inadvertently put my life in danger, and has also highly inconvenienced me. DO NOT SHOP JCPENNY!
