Choice Home Warranty review: My honest experience

I want to share my honest experience so others can make informed decisions. The sales team made this home warranty sound exceptional, but when it came time to actually use it for my water heater, my very first claim was denied—despite the fact that I had just paid $1,400 for 3.5 years of coverage.
Because of this, I chose to cancel. Moving forward, I will save my own funds and work directly with reputable local businesses instead. In 3.5 years, I doubt I would have used the warranty enough to justify the cost anyway.
For me, this ended up being a disappointing use of time, money, and energy, and I hope my experience helps others make the best choice for their homes.
