I reserved the prepaid car with extra insurance packages in Catania Airport from 2025-06-29 to 2025-07-11, but didn’t receive it and lost my money. This is the only company that requires an International Driving License, even though my national license complies with the Geneva Convention and is internationally recognized. Both the front desk and customer service refer to the terms and conditions, which state that an International Driving License is mandatory for non-EU citizens. However, there is link to a page titled “What driving licences do we accept?” in terms and conditions, where it states that my driving license (Belarus) should be accepted. The documentation is poorly written and open to interpretation.
You can’t reach customer service on weekends, as they only operate on weekdays.
As a result, I arrived early to pick up the car but didn’t receive it. For a refund, the front desk told me to contact customer service, which was closed on Sunday. I later found out I had time to cancel my booking for a full refund since I arrived early—but the front desk failed to mention this.
In the end, I lost 420 euros as there’s no chance of getting money back. In a word—scammers.
