Right across the front edge of the windshield where it meets the roof both passenger side is peeling and flaking off the factory pearl white paint.

This care is regularly washed, waxed and UV treated and only has 43K, it is not even paid for until next year.

This paint problem was discovered on 19 March 2022

Desired outcome: Have Ford pay to inspect the car for other issues, paint the top of car if needed or as a minimum have the touch up done to the roog edge.

2018 White Ford Escape Titanium 40k miles. Kept in garage, hand wash with oil change every 3-4 K miles. Bought new and just discovered paint peeling at driver side pillar. I have owned 14 cars in my life and this has never happened before. I see clunkers with original paint still intact.

There are hundreds of us out there. This makes me ill.

Same problem with a lighting blue 2017 escape, ford says warranty expired. We have purchased several fords, but this may be our last one. This is a defect and should be taken care of by ford.

I agree. We have been a Ford family for years, but after getting the cold shoulder from Ford for this obvious manufacturing defect, I'm going to look at Kia and Hyundai. I just received a call from a local Ford dealer, asking me to come in and trade for a new Escape. I'm going to go in, but the visit won't be what they're hoping. This way I KNOW I'll have the ear of a salesman and I'll ask to see the sales manager, just to be sure my dissatisfaction reaches the right ears. When a problem with their products begin to affect their paychecks ...

My 2017 Ecae SE front driver's side pillar just let go of a few chunks of paint, right down to the prime. 26,700 miles. 12 May 2023.

2017 Escape titanium- White Platinum Met Tri coat paint 52k miles- 3/6/23 paint just peeled right off of the right windshield pillar down to the primer and the top left corner of windshield pillar has chipped as well. The top right is perforated and bubbled as well. 3/9/23 I went to a local collision body shop that was recommended by my auto insurance company and they looked at it and immediately said this is defective paint issue go to Ford dealer and have them look at it, this is on Ford. So I drove to the local Ford dealer near my house- collision/body shop guy came out looked at it and then called his manager and his manager told him I am out of luck warrant wise and any other way - it is not their issue and that Ford does not have to do anything. the manager refused to even come outside to look at it. Pictures attached. I am done with Ford, I will never buy another Ford. They honor nothing

I have the same issue. Was told warranty doesn't cover it.
