Food Lion review: New design of check out lines

The new design of check out lines is awkward and not efficient for large purchases. The self serve area is great for small purchases. I regularly shop once a week. Usually have a basket full. The belt is short and I cannot get everything on it. Half the time the cart waiting in-between the 2 registers is a small cart. My groceries won't fit into it and they have to figure out whether to get another cart or try and squeeze everything into a small on. And then do I push it thru into the person in the other lane or try and pull it out in my direction without a lot of room to maneuver around. Not a good fit for my shopping needs.
