I went into food lion this morning at 7 am after working 12 1/2 hours. I wish I would’ve noticed that they didn’t even have one cashier assisting with customers in checkout. It was all self check out. I loaded my buggy full of $150 worth of groceries. I asked the staff standing there if she could assist in checking me out and was told “no”. Do better food lion. If you can’t afford to schedule one cashier, you need to close your doors. This is the food lion in morganton, north carolina beside domino’s. Needless to say I was pretty angry and they knew it.
And if you are supporting these stores that are based on customer service with making 90% of their check out area self check out, you are not a good person. This is done for greed. It’s a customer service industry and we are having to give ourselves customer service because they want to be as short staffed as possible. Wanting customer service from a store that is 100% based on customer service is NOT selfish.
